He who says there is no hope is your enemy
inflation
according to this inflation calculator, $1 in 2006 is $1.66 now, a cumulative inflation of 66.2%
I remember in 2006 a 20 ounce bottle of Mountain Dew was $1. Of course prices vary by region and store, but right now a bottle of Mountain Dew at a grocery store in my home town is $2.69
That is a cumulative inflation of 169%
so what is the inflation rate
Part of the problem is that it's hard to say how much of that is really because the value of the dollar went down vs how much of it is Pepsi raising prices on Mt Dew for better profit margins.
Objectively that is correct, but subjectively I just keep hearing everything being blamed on “inflation” and it’s just a lazy catch-all
Which is why this is so infuriating
Also infuriating how the quality of so much has gone to shit. Bacon has more than doubled in price per pound over the last 20 years and now instead of maybe a tsp or two of brine in the pack there's a couple tbsp of the stuff I have to drain out. Literally 1/8 of the weight I'm paying for is liquid that can drain on its own not including other liquid I can draw out with paper towels.
But we gotta cut corners and reduce useable portions because of inflation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Secondary inflation like insurance premiums are closer to 300% with less coverage as well.
Based
Dadding done right.
@grumpy-the-repentant Thought of you and the VP...
Definitely need that for her
US farmers missed the fertilizer window in the majority of the US and available materials are at 30% of norm.
Might be a good time to get canned goods and freeze dried food.
The pinch won’t come for a while (maybe not even this winter), but there will be a lot less food available unless this gets fixed.
With tariffs and the absolutely bipolar oil market, importing enough to feed the masses may not be tangible.
Add in the unknown tens of millions of foreign invaders in the US, and this may be a powder keg.

Chemical analogs for smokeless powder and chemical fertilizer are both in a massive supply crunch.
You won’t be able to eat a meal or a bullet unless you have a stockpile or an incredibly short supply chain.
If oil hits 200 a barrel, you won’t be able to get either delivered anyway.
Pray to the Lord for such problems to be short lived.

The side effects list for an injectable arthritis med was Cancer.
Whatever relationship between corpos and politicians allowed this is evil.
@liberbill @grumpy-the-repentant is this legit?
That’s been a standard for a while now. I don’t know if the current admin will let this go without not quite punishing the objector though.
David Koresh Music Masterlist
David Koresh made many original songs over the years, of which we have a lot of recordings of. He honestly made some pretty great rock music so I thought I'd share some sources. Unfortunately the song "Darkness in the Light" (which is my favourite...) is very fragmented, the entire song isn't available to the public as far as I can tell.... we do have reconstructed recordings as you will see more below.
David's Complete discography compilation (only has a remix of darkness in the light though) - here is a link to individually download each of these songs off archive.org https://archive.org/details/davidkoresh
Live acoustic snippet of David performing 'Mad Man in Waco' (a song about George Roden, previous Branch Davidian leader)
Various copies of 'Darkness in the Light' with an array of live clips:
An alternate archive of some of his songs, not sure how the quality differs but thought I'd include it anyway.
This youtube channel (HRPoodersmith) has lots of good alternate cuts, and higher quality recordings of various songs:
Share your videos with friends, family, and the world
There are probably many songs out there unreleased that David recorded, and higher quality or complete recordings (without news broadcast narration interfering) that exist... but this is all I can find online. If anyone finds anything more, by all means add onto this with a reblog!
