i met so many amazing, wonderful people because of this band and i would not be in the place that i am now without them, i was not a happy or stable teenager by any means and one direction helped bring me out of the worst of it… i’m not like, saying they cured me, but things would have been a lot tougher and i would have had a lot bigger, worse bumps in the road if they didn’t pop into my life and give me concerts and albums and movies to live for

Just because you have received the vaccine does NOT mean you can just do whatever you want now and stop wearing a mask and social distancing. The pandemic is still happening.
If the virus continues to spread, we give it more opportunities to mutate and adapt, which could lead to a variant that’s immune to the vaccine, which would mean everything we’ve been doing would be a waste of time. Until enough people get the vaccine and herd immunity is achieved, keep following the rules, wash your hands, social distance, and wear a mask.
Please especially remember that your immune system takes days or weeks to generate new antibodies. The reason so many people think a flu shot can *cause* flu is they get the shot and instantly let their guard down about germs.

seriously like. If you have a little extra money to give, think about things like Wikipedia, public radio, your local PBS station, your town’s public library… this is the most necessary time to protect free and public institutions of knowledge and information. Support them however you can because the way things are going I’m not sure we could get them back if we lost them.
