I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy
Here he is, the Aldi Cowboy

Hey so

So you know.
This might be the real one, y’all.
I could use some luck
The good luck post! \o/

do you think the catholic church effectively utilized wokeness by funneling money into the colonization and rape of the americas after issuing the doctrine of discovery which effectively legalized the subjugation of indigenous peoples?

love it when characters do a sacrifice play ostensibly to save others but mostly so they don't have to face themselves
hi, andre tag! sorry to bother you all, but i recently resumed updating my andre-assimilation-and-for-some-reason-kevin fic, AKA. it's the sequel to AFK and Bouquet, and we just started reaching the end of the first little arc, so it's a great time to read!

Is it okay for nonblack people to casually say the n word?
Yes
No
No, but- (nuance)
It seems we are not all on the same page about this, and I would genuinely like to know why. I thought the answer was obvious, but mayhaps we didn't all grow up with that understanding.
Is it difficult to not say the n-word as a nonblack person?
Yes
No
No, but- (nuance)
Like is there a temptation? A benefit? A gain that one might receive by saying it while nonblack?
Final question!
Would you trust a nonblack person who casually says/said the n-word?
(Black users only!)- Yes
(Black users only!)- No
(Black users only!)- Depends
(Everyone else)- Yes
(Everyone else)- No
(Everyone else)- Depends
If you believe that person is still trustworthy, why so? If you don't, why so?
Lot of votes on this with not an equivalent amount of shares lmao folks are not trying to find out about their peers huh 🤣 it can be scary!
we need to instill a new storytelling rule of thumb into people called "show don't tweet" where we encourage them to put all pertinent canon information into the actual story and its official supplemental material instead of using reddit AMAs as lore dlcs
