I saw human skin magnified and it's scaly looking and lots of holes for the pores. It's kinda hard to imagine the vampires, Edward in specific, could find humans attractive with their super vision. Human skin is extremely unsettling up close...ofc, I'm aware this is all fantasy and what not but it's fun to see the inconsistencies!

Yeah there's this sort of constant push-pull between the romance of "this is the first and only girl he has ever loved!!!" and "but he has super senses and she's human so her skin magnified would not be attractive and also he's hearing and smelling every weird bodily function which are not normal to him--" and you just have to kind of stick your fingers in your ears and go "la la la la" if you want to avoid thinking about the implications.

It would have been lowkey funny to see it from Bella's perspective though like when she's looking at Charlie or Jacob and being like "wow their skin is so scaly are they sick?" and Edward's like "no that's just what human skin looks like to us" and then she's like omg you kissed me when I looked like THAT?
