I haven’t seen this mentioned before, but while rereading Heated Rivalry for the hundredth time, I realized another little detail…

Right after the club scene, Ilya goes back to his hotel and in the book he thinks about what if Shane and him were able to dance together. He mentions how he wonders if Shane would have let Ilya push up his shirt and run his hands along his torso. In the show version, you can see Rose with her hands under Shane’s shirt, running her hands up and down his torso WHILE ILYA IS WATCHING THEM.

The detail/parallel of Ilya actually witnessing Rose do the thing his inner thoughts wanted to do with Shane fucking kills me.
