hi... due to my poor (worsening, it seems.) health situation i had another crappy month where i've gotten through nowhere near enough of my work and i am in a really awful spot financially, which is to say right now i can't afford rent, pain medicine (and i am in dire need of it right now 😔), phone bill, or groceries. i have no choice but to ask for help if it's not a problem and isn't going to put you in a bad spot financially in turn.

i need $700 overall (usd) to have all of that taken care of, but anything, even a little bit, helps and lets me eat and not be in a ton of pain all day and thus hopefully sort things out as best i can. i also really appreciate sharing.

the fridge-freezer is in the kitchen. Not only are there dishes every day, not only are there food preparation surfaces of various kinds every day, not only are there crumbs and odds and ends that fall on the floor every day ... but the fridge-freezer is in the kitchen. The oven is in the kitchen, the food cupboards are in the kitchen, and above all THE KITCHEN BIN IS IN THE KITCHEN.

Having a magically-self-cleaning bathroom would be cool, but it wouldn't dramatically change my lifestyle.

If I could cook or bake whatever the hell I wanted, knowing that all my pots and mixing bowls and baking sheets would just zap themselves clean when I finished? yeah basically if you stay in the bottom left corner of the map you should be good, there's less environmental damage you can take there but obviously if you're worried abt it, just triggering all the traps at the start of the fight never hurts. your build looks fine, i know everyone hypes up divine dash but tbh i don't think you need it for every run, it just helps to have. once you memorize the attack patterns the fight isnt that bad, pretty easy compared to the late game. here, have 100 dollars

Teaching Shakespearean Sonnets to Brain Rot 15-Year-Olds

There's hope.

My co-teacher came up with an idea. She said to me: “I’m going to project a Shakespearean sonnet on the board that you have never seen before. They are going to watch you struggle through it, and they are going to see what it takes to authentically annotate something to attempt to understand it”. This was a good idea because it targeted a pitfall of my teaching: that I already know the answer— a predetermined answer I want my students to come to. Therefore, when I ask the class a question, they are aware that there is an answer in my head I want them to arrive at. This method can stifle students’ voice. So, I stood at the front of the classroom that day, feeling exposed, sight-reading Shakespearean sonnets. With most of the sonnets, I, with the help of the class, could only get to about 75% understanding and accuracy at best. But my confusion — my apparent struggle and frustration in understanding each new sonnet— was key for my students. They felt free to posit their interpretations and even to disagree with me. In each session, a student shared a thought or possibility that not only I had failed to see but was also ultimately accurate. One student couldn’t wipe the smile off her face when she figured out a metaphor that stumped both me and my co-teacher. “This was fun”, she and her classmate said to each other when the bell rang.
