To add to this nightmare, I’ve just heard of a thing called ForceField where people get to monitor and block internet sites that you’re going on if they don’t approve.

It tells the user what sites/apps you’re going on, for how long you’re on them, and WHERE YOU ARE ON AN UPDATING MAP.

So you know if you’re in an abusive household and use sites like tumblr to escape and talk to friends, you could be cut off from that.

They say “it’s not spyware” but it sure sounds controlling and creepy to me.

Life 360 is another tracker. My parents have used it on me, not allowing me to delete it from my phone, and sometimes even demanding selfies to prove I was where the map said. (As if I’d go anywhere without my phone)

SpectorPro is another one. Afaik it can’t track location, but it takes screenshots roughly every 20sec to allow the installer to watch a video of your computer activity. It also tracks all keystrokes, so passwords aren’t safe, and records any website you visit + the duration. It’s incredibly creepy and a huge violation of privacy, and was one of the cornerstones of my abuse as a kid.

Hey people of tumblr. A girl I knew just committed suicide yesterday. And I’m mourning her. I haven’t seen her in two years. Haven’t thought of her in a long time. She doesn’t go to the same school as me anymore. But I still remember sitting next to her on the bus to math meets. Seeing her in the halls and saying hi. All of our weird inside jokes.

And everyone else seems to too.

We followed her on Instagram and we’re all friends on Snapchat. We may not talk all the time, but we miss her. We are crying.

I am in math and watching a video in my Snapchat memories of her and crying. I’m texting my mom.

you just gotta figure out how to do the mitten thing! (everybody does it differently, so whatever works for you)

make a little mitten shape, a bump for the big thumb muscle, a line for where you want to knuckles to be (and where the fingers end), and you can work out how the hand does hand things~

you can make them more simple or more real, however you want! hands are weird, so don’t worry if they keep looking wrong for a while, once you figure out what works for you, it’ll click. If you practice like 10 or-so basic hand shapes, you can make slight variations on all those, and 10 turns into 20 different hand poses~

Good luck, you can do it, practice until you find your groove, hands are stupid, don’t worry if they don’t look right!

i had a shit day

Tried to talk to my mom today and she brushed off my anxiety and depression as hormones... and then says “why don’t you talk to me anymore? Please talk to me” and I say “I feel like you brush off my issues” and then she talks about how “she understands and cares” about me and isn’t brushing off my feelings, but just reminding me that they are normal. I have such a hard time and nobody really knows because I’m scared of vulnerability, cause I have no control over the situation. I try to talk to her and she just brushes it off.
