Ummm alright, let me guess.
This cartoon is gonna be about Mike and El “getting to know each other better” again, with Mike being emotionally dependent as hell like always. Mike is scared of Hopper like always, and Hopper is doing his usual tough-dad routine:
“Be careful with my daughter!!!”
standing there like he’s the final boss of fatherhood.
Then boom - new mysterious monsters show up. Because the writers’ creativity works on the formula demo + random object:
demoflower, demolizard, demopumpkin, demodick.
And of course it’s the same squad of teenage kids investigating these new creatures, biking around this weird little town like they’re FBI agents instead of 13-year-olds.
Then they introduce a new character asome “cool punk girl Nikki”. She hates her parents, listens to The Clash, acts like she doesn’t care about anyone. But surprise - she ends up bonding with these freaky nerds because she’s “a freak too, just in a different way”.
They’re gonna drag this crap out for like two seasons. Half the time they’ll just stare at each other, walk through the woods, talk about feelings, and stretch teenage drama as much as possible.
And the dialogues are gonna be straight out of the cliché handbook:
-“Are you sure that’s a good idea..?”
-“Don’t worry, we’ll be fine.”
(Something scary ahh happened)
“-I TOLD YOU THIS WAS A BAD IDEA”
Fight scene inside the group:
-“You put all of us in danger!”
-“Stop! We’re wasting time!”
Make-up scene with sad music:
Then they run into some monster and they’re like:
“Well… we’ve seen stranger things.”
“And when I’m back in Chicago…”
And in the finale, of course, they defeat all the monsters thanks to El and the power of friendship like it’s a Disney Channel special.
And the end credits hit with some dramatic music and the text: “This is only the beginning…”
