You have to take care of yourself
Hi guys,
Crying for 3 days straight taught me that people do care, they wanna help. We haven't been raised to know exactly how unfortunately. It also taught me that a lot of people don't give a shit.
Most importantly it taught me that my life would become much better, not if I implement some specific routine, or make some particular resolution, but rather if I make sure to simply ask myself if I'm taking actual good care of myself as often as possible.
Self-love heals, and learning to seek out love in the right places, heals. Getting what u deserve is gonna involve some awkward interactions; it's gonna involve confusion from the listening party. But you just have to do it or your life will get unfairly worse as time passes.
Crazy lore: I am the subject of my friend's photography project which involves simulating stalking me. Guess what, it's insanely invasive, tanking my mental health, and taking up absurd amounts of time to complete. Now, she needs this to graduate, so I can't back out. But she's consistently stepping over my boundaries, and I've decided to promise myself that I will actually verbally affirm them, because I don't owe her anything just because she keeps coming up with new ideas on a whim. It's really scary, but why should my grades suffer dramatically, just so she can finish a project? We are only acquaintances...
Please learn from my past mistakes guys, and take care of yourselves. Spend time w the right people. Perhaps I'll make a separate blog post about this crazy exhibit sometime. It's actually crazy, and I'm learning a lot about myself.
