Have you ever check your old and new blender files to see how much you have improved and where you would like to challenge yourself? I worked on a Labubu sculpt a few days ago because I was bored and wanted to warm up my sculpting skills, but I don't have my tablet with me. So I started to sift though old project to keep or dump.
I worked on a 1938 Mercedes Benz car based on a model of the car's structure. I will definitely work on that in my free time, lol. The character model is really close to completion, her clothes and hair need to be tweaked.
I worked on this old model around a while ago then abandoned Bloom. A mix of all of the reboot Winx and cleaning out my files later and now I'm working with her again.
Ole Bloom needed tweaks to her hair and face. I used curves to get the shape of her strands and the mirror modifier to make my life easier and duplicate them on both sides for now. It was the same technique for my Sypha model some time ago. I have to work on the skirt while getting started on the skin texture paint. So far happy with the shoes and how they sit on her body. She needs her two braids in the back and eye textures soon, but I am still deciding if she should look more stylized realistic or lean into toon for her shaders.
I am really excited for the reboot! Winx Club incorporated 3D scenes since the very beginning with their vehicle models and the three schools and with fully 3D scenes. I made sense to jump into a full 3D season.
Challenged myself with an old saved character model sheet on timing and pacing. The character is completely box modeled and the sheet was not for 3D modeling so I made a couple of tweaks here and there. The total time was 3 hours with the bulk of the time for the face.
For the last couple of months, I was buried in work. A lot was traditional art and I found some love in 3D crafts and painting but I missed digital modeling and sculpting. I will continue this model to see how far I can get to completing the model. Sadly, I could not find the original artist that made this concept but her name is "Sloan."
Old Woman study. Nomad sculpt. Going to see how far I can go with this.
Referenced Guillaume T. Delbarre sword concept day 3 in Blender called "Potion".
3D Prop art study. Includes wireframe, viewpoint, and UV map. WIP.
IM BACK!!!
And I'm here to post some Winx club content!
Will publish a TikTok of the modeling process tomorrow. I am using the base I made some time ago to complete the Bloom model. I CAN rig her, I might rig her. Or just auto rig and move on with my life.
The wings were the easiest part of the model. I just have the hair to do and I am done with the bulk of her blocking. Bye Bye.
Also I am available for 3D modeling and Retopology commissions, my core work is characters, but I can work on props and environments. Link to my Fiverr store here: https://www.fiverr.com/s/7DV0Gb
Made a simple layout in Blender based on the Hulu Velma poster. Keeping it simple for now with some textures and a posed base mesh to set up the camera. Might make a video on it and talk about what I think about the series (I watched the whole series) compared to the last two Scooby doo iterations I watched (Be Cool, Mystery Inc.)
Made a clock to Decompress after working on hair simulations for the Morgan Freeman bust. Simulations are not my friend, both particle and hair sim were always hard to get just right due to...well all of it. Somehow, X-gen feels easier than Blender’s system. Eh. I don’t feel very confident with my work at the moment so here is a clock lol.
Morgan Freeman Sculpt. Zbrush Practice exercise. Had a lot of fun creating him. WIP as I will add skin textures & hair simulation.
I think this is my first post of the new years and I am starting with a resolution: to dive more in depth with Zbrush. I’ve used Zbrush another time before with my zombie practice sculpt and I wanted to build directly into the program instead of working in Maya first. Zbrush to Blender isn’t that hard of a transition and I got the hang of it after my practice before this piece above.
My reference was Morgan Freeman. He has a lot of aging qualities to his skin and unique moles. When I collected his photos, I did notice his moles were different in most photos along with his wrinkles so I had to get a general vibe(?) on how to place them. I have a few more details before retopo and hair sym.
Hi guys! Thanks again for he likes and comments to my last post. Recreating the winx base into 3D was something that took sometime between three different 3D softwares and help me alot with character creation for my thesis.
I want to start on creating the specialists...however there is a little bit of a problem. There are two body types with two head types. Helia, Riven, Timmy, Nex share a similar head type (reverse almond shape) while the others Sky, Brandon, Nabu, Thoren, Roy have chiseled chins with slight variations (higher cheekbones, eye sets, etc.)
It is very easy to change the winx model to the different models, but the specialists need a bit of time. I can simplify the body to one so I can focus on the heads. That is a topic that I will get back into.
Model available for download in Autodesk FBX format. Visit CGTrader and browse more than 1 million 3D models, including 3D print and real-time assets
Opted to make the base mesh free now before I post the last video for the series. I changed the issues with the head, hands, and feet while making them more versatile than the last model. It is a FREE model so have fun with creating your OC with it! Also tag me when you do!
Candle made for promo video. Used Santus Library to make the bronze holder, the chocolate material for the wax and fabric for the wick. Gonna make the flame later.
Halloween Promo video WIP. Need to make a few more assets and the pumpkin has a bool that wasn’t rendered in this version. I had some issues with the purple fog but was able to fix the problems. The skull and pumpkin were assets from cgtrader. I made the cauldron, fog, smoke sim, wood floors
Macaron and something else in the background. Something for an asset pack in the near future. WIP
