Summary:

Missy is changing, and the Doctor wants to prove it— to her, to the others, to himself mostly— so he takes her to an adventure where she'll take the lead alongside him. It should be simple and easy, but he stumbles upon something dreadful for both of them.

A Gallifrey rebuilt on nothing but memory, and a distress signal no one claims to have sent. It suddenly becomes a task to the Doctor as much as it is for Missy to navigate through it all.

I remember a big thing people had against 13 was she seemed unsure of herself at times. The fact she doesn’t demonstrate that half as much as people say aside. The last time she was confident in herself (as 12), she got bill killed. Obviously as a result she’s going to have her moments of self doubt. She was so sure as 12 that she could talk the guy on the colony ship out of shooting bill, and she couldn’t! For all she knows, bill is still very dead. Of course she’ll be haunted by the knowledge she can’t always save the day, and that if you act like you can, it makes the inevitable eventuality of that even more devastating

there are so many ways to show that the Doctor being kind is a choice but their love of the Master is one of my favorites. there has to be a deep-seated inner darkness in them to love someone so cruel, even if it's a darkness they don't give in to. they might want the Master to be kinder but it doesn't stop them from loving the Master when they're cruel. idk.

I once thought I was asexual and it turned out I actually wasn’t ready to have sex before I had transitioned to a point where I was more comfortable with my body.

And in that time, the asexual community welcomed me, supported me, helped me feel good about who I was, protected me from the harm I would have done to myself if I had pushed myself to have sex. That made a huge difference.

If I see an opportunity to support asexual organizations, I do so not just because it’s good but also because they were there for me in a difficult part of my life without judgement. I owe them for that.

If you at one point identified as transgender or questioned your gender identity, maybe you too sought a home in the wrong place because you were struggling with something else. And it is very likely that the people in that home, the transgender community, believed you and welcomed you and listened to you.

And then when it turns out that you were searching for the wrong thing, you don’t just leave that community behind but you turn around and shit on them? Shame on you. What a shitty thing to do.
