So today in my anthropology class, a guy said that if we were in a handmaid’s tale type situation where lots of the human race was infertile, we should do artificial insemination instead of rape and I hopped on the mic to tell him that forced pregnancy, no matter where the sperm comes from, is a form of torture and that women’s bodies aren’t public resources and all 150 people on the zoom were like 👀

You’re right. And feminists who disagree are fucking blind to the fact that men being allowed to treat female animals as property means they transfer that behaviour on to us because they ALSO see us as animals.

We flag a kid who tortures animals as potential for psychopathy. We understand there is a correlation between how that child treats animals to how they’ll treat humans. Why is the same not true for all of the human race, all men, all the farming industry? What just because you are so indoctrinated by it that you see it as perfectly normal? Well that’s how men think of women, so if you won’t change your thinking about farmed animals, why can you expect men to about us?

People treat TIMs fears and women’s fears vastly different.

A TIM scared to go outside and scared to interact with people, including other men, is considered by progressives and leftists not paranoid, but reasonably fearful. It’s such a scary time to be trans, they say. There’s a genocide going on, they claim. It’s perfectly understandable that a trans woman is scared and wants his transfem spaces, his communities, his transfem specific resources.

A woman is scared to be around men, wants her own spaces of just women, or goes out of her way to avoid men, she’s being paranoid. She’s just been watching too much true crime. The "feminism is about choice" stance is so obviously ridiculous on its own but applying its logic to other movements makes it even more obvious. If someone transformed homo/bisexuals fighting against being subjected to homophobic prejudice, conversion therapy and chemical castration into "fighting for the right to choose if they want to be subjugated to these things or not" this person would be immediately dogpiled, but for some reason it's acceptable do the exact same thing to women and feminism.

Every time a sexist practice gets rebranded as "self-expression," women are expected to celebrate our own conditioning. Liberation isn't about finding new ways to decorate the cage. It's about questioning why the cage exists in the first place. If a practice overwhelmingly benefits patriarchal expectations while demanding women's time, money, pain, and energy, then maybe it's worth asking who that practice is really serving.
