Yamazaki nods enthusiastically, he has no problem with it as long as he gets an excuse to see his ‘Tama-san’.

Yet he finds it funny that the only thing he can give her is the stability. The same old government job, a regular life of a nobody. The issue is that she thrives in chaos, and he knows. If anything, it makes him understand Hijikata a little bit better, but he also knows he simply can’t continue anymore. Or four times Kagura leaves and one time Sougo gathers his courage to do something about it.
