"This is a version of Armand who's a bit more desperate, maybe a bit more bitter, a bit less in control. " x
Not the Spongebob tieeee 😂 I'm dying
How'd it go Bill? How'd the show go? Did it go well? Did your show go well?
the feeling that i'm losing them forever and without really entering their world i'm glad whenever i can share their laughter those funny little boys
what happened to the wonderful adventures? the places i had planned for us to go well, some of that we did, but most we didn't and why? i just don't know
sometimes i wish that i could freeze the picture and save it from the funny tricks of time

Transcribing as much of the World Economy News Paper as I can so that you don't have to
Or, at least, the important/prominent articles in this shot shared by OPLA visual artist Randy Troy:
As a disclaimer: did the best I could. Still some words that are a bit too blurry, so excuse the occasional ellipses or guesswork—most of it's pretty clear with context otherwise. Putting the transcriptions below the cut.
Today I saw these Mother's Day and Father's Day chocolates. How cute! I need more...

A little thing adding to what I wrote about here on the female characters' involvement in the fighting in OPLA: I really appreciate that Zoro's 1 vs 100 fight in S2E3 not only includes several women among the "faceless mooks" Zoro fights, but that he also mows through them with the same brutality that he does through the men. (Plus, that out of the four opponents he visibly struggles against (a little) two of them are women.) I've seen some people falsely claim that Zoro only stuns the female opponents in this fight while he also actively slashes the male ones (not true, we see him slash several of the women directly) and others respond that this is an active character choice from Zoro as he tries to avoid slashing specifically women with his swords in the anime/manga.
I am so, so glad that they changed this in the LA! It's a false and sexist sense of "chivalry" and an expression of automatically thinking of every woman as a less capable fighter than any given man when you can allow yourself to not fight them with all of your strength and viciousness. It doesn't make any sense with Zoro's backstory as it's been shown in S1 because that is exactly what he argued against with Kuina. Having Zoro now treat female opponents as inherently less dangerous than male ones would mean that he somehow changed his mind and actually Kuina's initial concern was right, she would forever be beneath a man in fighting ability just inherently because of her sex. That would be a complete betrayal of their vow to each other of becoming the best swords(wo)man in the world. I'd argue that it's pretty integral to Zoro's character that he doesn't do this.
Kudos to OPLA for being 100% consistent with equality in fights down to faceless mooks!
Seeing Zoro brutally launch that nun over the bar across the room like a ragdoll ironically felt cathartically feminist
The way he HATES that title. The actor knew how to portray his disgust. Let's also remember that it was the same day he lost his son.
You didn't kill anyone for those? No. I haggled.

there should be a term for characters you personally don't care about but you defend them anyways because the way people treat them is really uncomfortable. like ok this is a very middle-of-the-road character for me but the fandom's either been super misogynistic, racist, etc. about them or harassed innocent people who try to genuinely explore that character warts and all, and i find that more annoying than the actual character.
I’m nodding at this but can’t commit to it fully because every character I’ve experienced this with I’ve grown to love way more than I did initially. It’s because I had to see what people were saying and think in detail about what I liked about them, but, more significantly, I also realized how the character’s writing challenges mainstream society’s backwards rules about how certain people (a lot of the times women) must be portrayed. I grow to appreciate what the writers put forward even more and love those character traits. And I end up obsessed with them. Like, yess, rock your extremely human flawed self. This is the “I like you” to “I must stan” pipeline.
(Anyway, shoutout to Korra and Charlie Morningstar.)
