Just watched Hazbin Hotel season 2, and.. I don’t really like the direction the story went.

Let Me Explain;

I’ve been a fan since the original pilot. So redemption and Charlie’s hotel always seemed.. impossible as a story standpoint. Almost like redemption isn’t supposed to happen.

But That’s not the issue I have. It’s that Hazbin Hotel, In my opinion, has always been about Found Family.

That even if redemption isn’t possible, even if your existence in the worst place in the afterlife is permanent.. at least you have each other. At least you tried, and found your people along the way!

It’s always felt like a journey of acceptance to me. About facing what you’ve done, and knowing you can’t change it.. but try anyway to be better for yourself and those you care about.

I’m being mushy, but the pilot felt.. like an interesting story! But the series doesn’t seem to understand what characters there working with.

Nine had no one. Nine was alone, bullied, and seemingly abandoned. If you read between the lines, and consider what we actually see;

New Yoke doesn’t have any food, just robots and silence, It’s ruled over by the Egg Council’s tyranny, and Rusty Rose as an enforcer.

That’s.. That’s HORRIBLE! Can you imagine what that’s like for these characters? Just.. think about it.

How Do They Work? Like-

Uzi, For Example. She’s The Whole Package: Wings, Tail, The Need For Oil, Just Her Whole Deal!

(Though The Wings & Tail COULD Be Something Else)

But. Doll? She Can Control The Solver And HAS To-Drink? Eat? Oil. That’s IT.

And Doll Had The Solver LONGER Than Uzi, So If ANYTHING It Should Be The Other Way Around-

I’m Getting Ahead Of Myself.

Nori DIED And Turned Into The BUG THING. And I Don’t Even Wanna Try To Dissect THAT.

Then There’s Cyn. Do I Even Need To Explain.?

The Point Is, The Solver Does Something To Its Hosts, And It’s Affects On Them Are Unpredictable.

So, Again With My Question, Why Are The Solver Hosts The Way They Are?

Are Certain Things “Genetic”? Or Is It The Solver, Giving Its Hosts Powers To Carry On Their Own Agenda Or ITS Will? Probably The Latter.

There’s A Lot More To This, Actually! There Is So Much Mystery Here, And Worker Drones Are Already My Pride And Joy, And These Are Things That Will NEVER Be Explained.
