Okay but… I finished this in June and kept hesitating (a lot actually) whether to post it or not😅

The original still came from Tumblr (yet I don't remember the Op😅), and I couldn’t get over how gorgeous it was~ The composition, the lighting, Vi’s expression, and everything. It inspired me so much that I just had to recreate it🥰❤️✨️

Timebomb couple made me watch Arcane~ But I ended up loving Vi's character~ I understand, why so many fans said, "No one can make me hate you, Vi."🥹❤️✨️

(I saw the movie leaks and I was INSTANTLY thrusted back into ATLA hyperfixation and I wanted to give it a go at drawing one of my all time favorite characters because Toph's story is so wonderfully done and theres so much nuance that I HAD to draw em out. I recently rewatched Avatar the last Airbender with the news of the new movie coming out in a few months, so I’ve been on an Avatar kick lately

Thinking about Zuko bringing the steambaby to council meetings so Katara can have an uninterrupted nap

• The first time he does it, the council members expects chaos. Instead, the baby immediately falls asleep against her father's chest the moment he starts speaking

• Zuko becomes surprisingly skilled at conducting business one-handed. He signs papers, points at maps, and gestures during debates while his daughter is tucked securely in the other arm

• Whenever the baby starts fussing, Zuko instinctively stands and begins pacing around the chamber while continuing the discussion without missing a beat, as if it's completely normal for the Fire Lord to be walking laps around the room while soothing an infant

• Meetings actually run more smoothly when the baby is present. Nobody wants to be the person who wakes the sleeping princess

She wants to tell him he doesn't need to worry—she'll never hide her scars from him. The very idea is ridiculous. He's always let her see all of him. Why wouldn't she return the favor?

Zuko is smart. Zuko is protective. Zuko knows the pain of a burn. He'll help her heal. She knows this as surely as she knows her own name.

The burns settle in The Block's first chapter: Love is Wild (read here!). Healing comes in many ways.

What if I said the sudden hate and vitriol towards zutara in recent years is linked to the rise in conservatism… stay with me now… I can’t help but notice it because of the arguments I see such as “Water Tribe & Fire Nation can never be together… it’s way better that Mai & Zuko are married as they are both Fire Nation” or “It’s fine that Katara is a stay at home mom & healer… it doesn’t matter that she doesn’t play a pivotal role, go on to do anything great after the war…”
