A match made in Heaven
Note: this is just an idea that came to my mind after watching the final and being so dissapointed with it. They deserved better. Anyway, there are like a thousand different ways of doing something like this, and I just felt like writing this one. Have in mind that english isn’t my first language, so there might be some errors. And this is my first time writing a Destiel fanfic, so yeah pls be nice and I hope you like it :)

Dean didn’t know what to do. He just arrived at this new heaven, without any clue of what was happening. And it didn’t help that he hadn’t get around to the idea that his brother was without him. It’s true that he had a sense of peace inside of him thanks to being in Heaven and all that jazz. But he still needed sometime to process everything and clear his mind. So, the minute he saw Baby appear, he didn’t doubt to get in and drive for a bit.
While driving without a clear destination his mind started thinking about what Bobby said. Apparently Cas was alive again, and that was good. More than good. Awesome! he thought. It was just that he couldn’t help to ask himself why he hadn’t seem him yet. Maybe he was busy with Jack. Maybe he regretted confessing his feelings... Either way, he wasn’t gonna push him, he knew that Cas would appear whenever he was ready to talk.
A lagoon appeared in sight and it seemed perfect to Dean so he could relax and stop thinking so much. He parked a few meters away from the water and got out of the car. He took a deep breath just when he heard a little sound behind him. It sounded almost like the flutters of wings. He didn’t move, convincing himself that he misheard.
‘‘Hello Dean’‘ a familiar voice said.
Dean turned to see him and he couldn’t help himself from dropping a few tears the moment his emerald eyes met the blue ones.
‘‘Cas...’‘ that was all Dean was capable to say, still unsure what he was seeing was real.
‘‘Dean, about what I said, I...’‘ Castiel started rumbling without knowing how to continue the sentence, afraid now that Dean could reject him.
‘‘Oh, shut up’‘ Dean interrupted, approaching Cas really fast.
Dean put his hands in both sides of Castiel’s face and pressed their lips together into a passionate kiss. They separated from each other to catch their breath, and pressed their foreheads against each other.
‘‘I’ve been wanting to do that for years’‘ Dean conffessed with a big smile on his face.
‘‘Dean, I love you’‘ Castiel repetead like weeks ago, this time more sure and happy than ever.
‘‘I love you too, Cas’‘ Dean replied wrapping Castiel’s hand into his and pressing it to his chest, caressing it.
The couple just got in the car and drove into the sunset. Dean was happy to wait for Sam knowing he wouldn’t have to wait long, but now it was even better. He wasn’t going to wait alone. He finally felt happy. Loved. At total peace.
