Finally watched Project Hail Mary for the first time and even though i was in tears for the better 1/2 of it, this was truly the happiest ending to this movie that I could have possibly imagined.

It's been a long time since I've watched a new movie (i tend to just rewatch my favorite things ngl) and I'm so glad that I did.

Now I want to read the book too.

I've been rereading Wind Breaker (again) and I simply cannot get through any part of the Momijikawa arc without sobbing. It's the same with Tsubaki's backstory because as a trans person myself, her whole thing just hits a little too close to home.

But the Momijikawa arc?

The fact that someone so used to losing everyone close to him and the person who never had anyone to begin with can just do all that (iykyk) and the fact that it makes me confront my own mortality while also reminding me that the point of life, no matter how short it can be for some people, is to love and be loved and to spend it being happy????

I've never drawn Pitch before but I knew the vibe I would want for him in this fic and I genuinely think that I nailed it. XD

In this AU he's charming and appears kind at first but he's not called The Nightmare King for nothing. This song just happened to also fit him extremely well. ^.^ <3

Also I am not used to drawing guns or hands but I'm also somehow proud of how those turned out too lmaooo

(also the pinstripes really brought the suit to life. -> just imagine that it's an all black suit and the pinstripes are a dark gray. I'm also thinking that the shirt is black too and the tie is either just a silky black, or red.)

“A m— Jack, we’re in the middle of the woods. Berk barely has a general store.”

“You know those like — tall box thingys? You take pictures in them?” Jack says, and Hiccup knows he’s frustrated with himself for not finding the right words. Nobody’s memory is perfect after hundreds of years of floating. The photo in Hiccup’s hand flutters with the ocean breeze, threatening to tear out of his grasp and fly away. This could help with that.

“Oh,” Hiccup blinks, “a photobooth?”

Jack snaps his fingers. “Yes! That!”

“I dunno, I doubt there’s any in this county, let alone—” Hiccup feels Jack’s grip switch from his shoulders to a more firm hug under his arms. The wind picks up, pulling at his jacket, lifting the heel of his boot - and Hiccup shoves the photo of Jack in his pocket. “Wait—!”

“Wind!” Jack crows, and Hiccup can hear his puckish grin.

They take off into the sky.

I'm playing Genshin Impact rn and I've been catching up on the Archon Quests since I've been behind on them for a while. Aaaanyway!

I just got to the Sumeru part and a new Fatui Harbringer just dropped and I don't know which one he is yet but i had to immediately hop out of the game to fact check who his voice actor was because I would know this man's voice ANYWHERE and I feel so fucking gratified in the fact that I was RIGHT.

Sooooo glad that I put off watching the 2 most recent episodes of Digital Circus until the day I'm seeing the finale in theaters because I just finished episode 8 and I'm so glad that I don't have to wait for the conclusion as long as everyone else has lmaooo

Still trying to write an actual fic for them, but for now here is a thing I just wrote that made me feel things. <3

I wrote it listening to this on repeat if you want the full experience~

Jack can't remember a time where he ever felt warm. He thinks that maybe he had just been slowly freezing to death his entire life. Quietly drowning in a lake long-since frozen over. No one was supposed to find him there in the depths where no light could touch.

But Hiccup Haddock is the sun. A burning celestial force of nature shaped like a man. His hands touched Jack's and for the first time ever his frigid skin began to thaw. Those hands, stronger than he thinks, calloused and practiced, dragged Jack from the water and breathed into him new life.

If Hiccup Haddock was the sun, then his touch turned Jack into the moon. And for the first time, Jack, too, learned what it meant to be able to shine.
