Charles Weasley is a fifth year Ravenclaw and is open.
paint-covered hands and paint-splattered shirts. charcoal-stained fingers. a smear of pastel across his face. he taps his fingers restlessly when he’s bored. is known for making snarky jokes at the worst possible times. always has a tablet with him. instead of taking notes, he will doodle in the margins.
Background
Charles Weasley was not someone most people would think would be sorted into Ravenclaw. He never would get into arguments over whether or not one magical technique was better than another, and studying had never been his favorite thing to do. Instead, he embodied the more creative traits of Ravenclaw. He was always creating. He drew sketches of the quidditch matches. He painted the creatures they studied in the Care of Magical Creatures. They weren’t just the drawings of an amateur. He was talented. That was clear from a very young age. His brothers would be out and about, doing this and that, but he would have a pencil or a piece of charcoal in hand and would be drawing whatever he felt like. So long as he had some way that he could express his creativity, he was happy.
But that wasn’t always possible. Professors would tell him to put his paper away and to pay attention to what they were doing in class. Merlin did that make him angry. He would stow his things away, crossing his arms as he leaned back in his seat. Not only did he not pay attention after that, he would reply tersely and crossly. His words became harsh and bitter. He knew what he was going to do with his life. He was going to be an illustrator. He didn’t need magic for that. He only needed his talent. And oh he was sure he had it.

Marlene McKinnon is a sixth year Gryffindor and is taken.
the sun shining through a storm, fiercely loyal until trust is broken, forever adventurous, a smile that lights up the room, a reckless mess of a girl, always having to be the loudest voice in a room even if she has nothing to say, vulnerability hidden beneath layers of confidence and steel.
Background
Marlene McKinnon was no longer a child, she knew that well, but that didn’t mean she had to completely grow up yet. She still believed in being happy, and she still tried to look for the good in the world. While it was hard at times, she managed to do it well. She is quick to greet everyone she sees, and is also quick to offer a shoulder to lean on to those who need it. These traits stem from her coming from a large family. There was always someone to talk to and always someone who needed help with something. Though younger than many of her siblings, she was good at offering opinions, or even just letting someone talk things out. She worked hard to keep smiles on their faces (and her own) and that is something she continues to do to this day.
While she had a childlike outlook on life, she was still undeniably a teenager. She knew how to have fun and Merlin did she ever. She was always the type of person to know what is going on, whether it be a party or even a small get together. She wanted to enjoy now. She had little care for making plans for the future. She knew her family would help her if she ever needed it after leaving Hogwarts. Plus, the end of school seemed so far away in her eyes. While some of her closest friends do worry about her lack of planning, they would never say anything to her. Marlene just seemed so happy and the thought of ruining that left a bitter taste in their mouths. Her happiness rubbed off on those around her, and she had quite the habit of brightening peoples’ days.
Marlene McKinnon is portrayed by Kat McNamara.
Bilius Weasley is a sixth year Hufflepuff and is open.
a ball of energy. head in the clouds, and heart wherever it wants to be. messy hair, don’t care. is nicer than he should be. bites the inside of his cheek when he is nervous. can’t say no to anybody. pays little attention in class. would rather be spending his time daydreaming. wants to be happy. is figuring out how to be.
Background
Arthur was quick to question, Charles was quick to anger. The thing about Bilius was that he was just quick. He had a penchant for talking a mile a minute about everything and anything. He was quick with everything he did. He tried new things, becoming good at them and then quickly finding something new to do. That was just how he did things. And it was something that had always worked for him. He was a jack of all trades, so he had been told, and being somewhat okay at a lot of things seemed better than being good at one thing and not much else. He was a decent flyer and knew how to brew potions. He got no non-passing grades on his OWLs, but no O’s either. It was okay. He would manage. His brothers always had been one way when they were young. While he was very fond of them both, he would be ashamed to say that he had thought them boring before. Their repetitive nature was tiring to him. But that wasn’t his place to say anything. He wasn’t the person in charge of their lives. They were. That didn’t mean that he wasn’t allowed to have his own opinion. Maybe they were happy. Maybe they were doing what they wanted to do. All the same. It seemed like a waste to spend energy on becoming an expert on one thing and not much on anything else. So long as no one was telling Bilius what he could or couldn’t do, he would be happy.

Yet another day where I’ll be lurking so feel free to send in things! I’m gonna be working on stuff in photoshop for a while, but I’ll be around pretty much all day. In the meantime, I’d love to see some questions or applications while bios are released from the queue!
Sybill Trelawney is a seventh year Ravenclaw and is open.
a soft voice, like that of someone who doesn’t wish to be heard. a deck of tarot cards in her back pocket and tea leaves on her nightstand. folded fortune tellers litter her bedroom floor. speaking in a manner that makes people wonder if they can be sure that what they just listened to was true. light steps and a lighter touch.
Background
Sybill Trelawney wished nothing more than being allowed to changing her name to Cassandra as a child. Instead she was named after an aunt on her father’s side and her wish never came true. But maybe that was for the better. She knew that if her name was Cassandra Trelawney the second there would be many more expectations placed on her shoulders. Sybill came with no expectations. Her aunt was a nice woman, but had done nothing spectacular in her life. That left room for her to do something great and let others watch her with awe. She could live with that.
But being spectacular wasn’t something that came easy. She was nothing compared to Cassandra. She couldn’t conjure up prophecies at the blink of an eye. She couldn’t read tea leaves and immediately tell someone when they would meet their true love. Frankly, the only reason she got a O on her Divination OWL was because the professor knew her family. But she hadn’t lost hope. Maybe she was a late bloomer. Maybe visions would come later and her inner eye would finally open and be able to see all. Until then, she could only make educated guesses and keep her fingers crossed. Â

Xenophilius Lovegood is a fifth year Ravenclaw and is open.
an odd bird. is used to people not being too close to him. wandering eyes. distracted. wants to discover all that the world can offer. shares what he knows to people who ask. can’t help but believe in the exciting. wants to believe that things are more than they seem.
Background
The first time Xenophilius Lovegood heard about the crumple-horn snorkack he was vacationing with his parents in Sweden. They had found a magical bookstore and he was allowed to pick out a book to take home. It was a children’s book and it had many detailed illustrations. His favorite was the snorkack. From that point on, he wanted to discover all about these creatures. Ones that people didn’t believe in, or the ones that not many people had ever seen. What was wrong with that? They had magic for Merlin’s sake. If that was believable, why couldn’t people open their minds to see things even odder than that? He had a habit of finding the oddest stories he could and sharing them with anyone who might put aside the time to listen. But that was the problem, Xenophilius. Not many people would listen. His stories seemed too wild, even for the kindest students, to try and take the time to listen. Would it really be such a big deal to maybe focus on the believable? The idea had crossed his mind more than a few times, and it’s come to the point where he’s really been considering it. Maybe then he could have an actual conversation without receiving odd looks from others. Maybe then he could stop being so embarrassed when people scoffed and acted like he had no clue or sense on the world.

Gilderoy Lockhart is a seventh year Ravenclaw and is open.
keeps a mirror and comb in his pocket at all times. has a habit of embellishing stories. is surprised no one has questioned his tall tales yet. outgoing. charming. has no motivation or ambition. loves hearing stories of people who have done great things. crisp collars  and starched cuffs.
Background
Gilderoy Lockhart knew that, no matter what, he would become a household name one day. Since he was a child, everyone had told his parents that he was charismatic. That he could sell a cage to a lion. At that point, it didn’t seem like a big deal, but it did serve as fuel to his aspirations. Maybe he would become a writer for the Daily Prophet. Maybe he could become a famous quidditch player. Maybe he would work for the Ministry of Magic. Whatever it would be, he knew that it would be big. A liar. Gilderoy could be called a liar. As a matter of fact, he had been called a liar in that in the past. By people he thought were friends, by people he hardly knew. He let the words roll right off of his back. What was wrong with a fib here and there, he thought. So long as it was nothing big, it shouldn’t matter. One day, he wanted to be able to say whatever he wanted to without anyone questioning him. He would say things that were outlandish and strange and because of the reputation he’d have it would be considered immediately true. It would happen eventually. He was sure.

Hestia Jones is a fifth year Hufflepuff and is open.
bad at focusing. kind. very good at magic, though she doesn’t see it. isn’t the best at giving her all. always humming a song under her breath. has a cassette player she brings with her everywhere. would rather stay in the kitchens all day than go to class. shrugging her shoulders is a common habit of hers.
Background
Hestia Jones was good at magic. That was plain and clear to every single teacher she had and to every other student in her year. Her friends would ask her for help with homework and she could give it. It came easily. She would read the textbooks and immediately it seemed like she knew things like the back of her mind. While she did study a little bit, she did have a lot of time to do as she pleased. Hestia was too grateful for that. She would spend times walking around the corridors, talking to the different paintings. She could be found in the kitchens, taking snacks from the elves. She would jump staircases just for the thrill. Everything to her seemed more interesting than the magic itself. Hestia’s sister, Gwenog, went to Hogwarts before she did. It seemed exciting and unusual. At that point in time, though she was interested, she wouldn’t have minded if she didn’t get a letter too. She had aspirations to be an astronaut or a professional horse trainer at nine years old. Those seemed like fun. Sure, magic was nice at first, but hiding who she was when she wanted to go out into the muggle world? That seemed like a hassle- one she probably didn’t want to deal with.

Ted Tonks is a sixth year Hufflepuff and is open.
pensive. thoughtful. wide grins. a tendency to say things only when he sees it necessary. bitter. kind but tired eyes. an urge to do something. an urge to be something. not entirely sure where he fits in. the sort of person you could strike up a conversation with five minutes after meeting.
Background
Ted Tonks had a habit of making friends with anyone and everyone. He slipped under people’s radar, not really becoming a focus of theirs until they realized that they really liked him as a person. He had acquaintances in all Houses, and was seen as a genial figure by most. The only people who generally didn’t like him were those with strong pureblooded ideals. That wasn’t a problem with him, as he did try to avoid them if he could.
The thing about Ted was he had no qualms about saying whatever what on his mind. He didn’t care if he hurt anyone with his words because he believed he said whatever was needed to. So long as it was the truth, what was the problem? Words rolled of his tongue with no thought of the consequences that could occur. He has lost more than a few friends from this but it hasn’t occurred to him what else his mouth could cause him to lose.

Glenda Chittock is a seventh year Ravenclaw and is open.
a voice that bounces and echoes off of the stone walls. a bright smile that might just be faked. looks older than she is. has high ambitions. is not afraid to start a rumor. or spread one. her voice, while loud, is soothing.
Background
Glenda Chittock was just someone everyone listened to. She had the big personality and knew exactly how to phrase things so that people just wanted to hear more from her. She acted as one of the commentators for the Quidditch games and by far was everyone’s favorite. To the chagrin of the professors, she would say exactly what happened during the game while throwing in personal facts. Potter, oh yes, has caught the quaffle. He’s also caught the eye of nearly every partner he has had in potions. Mind you, all but Lily Evans. Girl has a sense of taste, compared to others. It was brilliant in her mind, everything that she was able to come up with.
Glenda’s name has been said through gritted teeth and with a swear too many times to count. For what it matters, every time was fair. She was the go-to person for information- true or not. She was Hogwarts’ gossip mill. She heard every piece of information, then she added to whatever needed to sound more interesting. There was nothing wrong with it in her mind, so long as it wasn’t immediately connected back to her. She had become skilled at coming up with reasons as to why she said the things she did. She wanted to save her own skin and all too often she would blame someone else or play the fool.

Gideon Prewett is a fifth year Hufflepuff and is open.
bold. the youngest but not the most spoiled. can make a joke from anything. his tie is always crooked. molly always fixes it. knows when it’s time to joke and when it’s appropriate not to. can take a punch. is okay with anything so long as he’s with his brother.  Â
Background
Gideon was never too sure if he was a person without his brother, but that wasn’t anything to worry about. His brother was always by his side. Fabian and Gideon. Gideon and Fabian. They were two sides to the same coin. If you saw one without the others, something was wrong or they were up to something. Either way, it wouldn’t have been a bad idea to keep an eye on them at all times. Gideon always had a grin on his face. Amused or just happy, it was always there. He always had time to talk to others and was usually able to make them smile or laugh too. Sometimes they were laughing at him, but that was never a problem.
The problem with Gideon was that he hardly ever saw anything as a problem. While he did normally let things roll off his back, he let things go that he shouldn’t have. He let people get away with things, saying ‘it’s alright’ and ‘no big deal’. It didn’t seem like a big problem but it had the potential to be. People might have begun to see him as a pushover. A nice one, albeit, but someone who would let themselves be pushed around. It was a habit he needed to break.

Rita Skeeter is a sixth year Ravenclaw and is open.
has a habit of sticking her nose in places she shouldn’t. brings a tape recorder with her everywhere. twist words around to make things sound more interesting. more appealing. wants to make sure people know what is going on at hogwarts and in the world.
Background
Rita Skeeter’s mother was a muggle news broadcaster. As a young child, she would sneak downstairs to catch the eleven o’clock news so that she could watch her mother. The next day she would reenact what she had seen, making her parents watch, but she would also embellish some of the facts to keep their attention. A result of being raised by her mother, she decided from a very young age it was important that people knew what was going on. She would tell her friends all the stories she heard her parents talking about at dinner. She would eavesdrop on people’s conversations in Diagon Alley. It was important that she could let people know all that was happening, and maybe more important that she always knew what was going on. Rita’s penchant for embellishment never went away. If she heard a rumor, she would make it more interesting. A Ravenclaw had a private relationship with a Slytherin? Not only would she help the story get along, but she would add things to it. The Slytherin’s family had told them not to. The Ravenclaw had already make plans to end it. There was always a seed of truth to be found if someone looked deep enough into what Rita said, but usually by that point there was often damage done. Rita had displeased so many people over the years but most things were small. They weren’t reputation ruining. But maybe one day they would be.

Fabian Prewett is a fifth year Hufflepuff and is open.
mild. close to both of his siblings. close to his parents. a good friend. can dish out jokes, can’t always take them. is quick to start a fight. normally even tempered. doesn’t know what life will dish out to him. just wants to be happy. can’t imagine life without gideon.
Background
Fabian was one half of a whole, and never really felt like himself unless he was with his twin. But that was understandable. They were never apart. From the time they were born to when they arrived at Hogwarts, they were always together. It was just a fact of life for them. Despite their physical appearance and ability to finish each other’s sentences, they were not the same person. Fabian had always come off as less in-your-face than his brother. He was calmer, and more likely to think things through reasonably at the start. He looked forward to the future with reasonable and attainable goals in a fashion that would still allow him to have fun and a good time.
While Fabian did seem much more calm and collected than Gideon, he had a much shorter fuse. He would snap at small comments that he really should have just ignored. Even with his brother by his side, he would retaliate with harsh words of his own and perhaps even draw his wand. He was quick with spells and incantations and do a lot of damage of need-be. His quick thinking could be good in some situations, but as a student all that was in his future for now was trouble.

Gwenog Jones is a seventh year Ravenclaw and is open.
determined. very athletic. frayed shirt sleeves and cuffed jeans. knows she will succeed. a bad habit of bragging. will argue with anyone who claims they are better than she. becomes easily jealous. loves flying. has high aspirations.
Background
Gwenog Jones ran every single morning before class. She would wake up before the sun had even risen and then return before most of her classmates had woken up to get ready for the day. It wasn’t something she felt she had to do. She just liked it. She was always moving. Taking runs when she could, flying around to waste time. Everyone knew her as the girl with more energy than she be allowed. That was never a problem in her mind.
There has been more than one argument that Gwenog has been involved in. It was because she didn’t know when to stop arguing. She didn’t care if someone was genuinely great at something. She would belittle their talents, saying that she could do things just as well. She would make it seem like their skills weren’t worth it. That they weren’t important and that they weren’t anything to be proud of. Fists and spells have been thrown towards Gwenog but she never seemed to get the message about stopping.
