Whoever you are, this message was destined to find you:
If God has intended for you to go through a hardship in order for you to come back to Him….
Listen to me cause this is very important, I will repeat:
If God
has intended for you
to go through a hardship
in order for you to come back to Him…
It does not matter what you do to get out of that hardship, as long as you haven’t healed your relationship with your Lord.
Let me be extra clear right now, cause for some the message isn’t getting through:
If God has decided your struggle is what is saving you from losing your connection to Him, then :
only going back to him
will solve the hardship.
I need you to let this sink in:
Maybe you struggle with marriage, or health, or wanting kids, maybe financially you’re feeling overwhelmed, or maybe you’ve been having a hard time achieving a goal, career wise or like losing weight, or whatever has been hard for you
It does not matter what you do, no amount :
of discipline or motivation,
of budgeting,
of side hustles,
of science,
of perfect diets and gruesome workouts,
no matter how much you put yourself out there
or work on yourself
or establish perfect bulletproof step by step plan
If the struggle’s purpose is to bring👏🏼 you 👏🏼back👏🏼 to 👏🏼God 👏🏼
THE STRUGGLE WILL *STAY* UNTIL YOU 👏🏼 GO 👏🏼 BACK 👏🏼 TO 👏🏼 GOD 👏🏼
So listent to me very well right now, if you dont learn your lesson: the lesson will keep hitting you. Harder and harder until it sticks.
And that’s the best case scenario.
Worst case scenario? The struggles stop.
Oof.
You got everything you want in life but you are disconnected from your Lord more than ever? This is a ⚠️ danger zone ⚠️. If God has stopped trying you while you have drifted the furthest away from Him than you ever did… You should be scared. Run back to Him, ask Him to bring you closer to Him, beg Him to not give up on you.
Now if you’re still in the struggle. Remember this:
Fix. Your. Foundation.
If your foundation in life –which is your devotion and worship to God– is in shambles then you need to refocus on rebuilding and strengthening that foundation before thinking of building anything on it.
- Do your prayers on time
- Read your book daily
- Go to your place of worship weekly
- Give to charity
- Fast
- Stay connected with your religious community.
And watch how everything becomes much easier.
How everything sets into place. How doors opens and problems solve. Your goals? Achieved. Your worries? Gone. Your life? On track.
And trust me this is a lesson I myself had to learn. That I keep learning and relearning over and over again. But you know what? Nothing is more human.
(I’m going to address my muslim brothers and sisters now but feel free to stay:)
If you feel so far away, guilty or beyond redemption; please remember this hadith qudsi (a hadith in which Allah conveys His words through the Prophet ﷺ).
The full narration is reported in both Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim:
Allah swt the Exalted says:
“I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, I remember him to Myself. If he remembers Me in an assembly, I remember him in an assembly better than it. If he draws near to Me a handspan, I draw near to him an arm’s length. If he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.”
And please, please, please don’t forget how Allah is the Most Merciful. He loves to forgive. He does not tire to forgive. And the more you ask the more He loves you for it.
He doesn’t respond to your thousandth “please forgive me” with exasperation but with JOY.
He rejoices that you came back repentant and asking for forgiveness. This is the beauty of Allah swt and His Mercy. He is Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim, Al Wadud, Al Ghafur, Al ‘Afuw!
There are so many verses and hadiths that tirelessly remind us of this:
“Allah is more joyful at the repentance of His servant than one of you who finds his lost camel in a barren desert.” - Reported in Sahih Muslim.
“O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and then you were to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you and I would not mind.” - Hadith Qudsi reported by Jami’ at-Tirmidhi.
“And Allah loves those who constantly repent and loves those who purify themselves.”- (2:222)
“Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’” - (39:53)
“And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?”- (15:56)
“Your Lord has prescribed mercy upon Himself.” - (6:54)
“Indeed, My mercy encompasses all things.” - (7:156)
“My mercy prevails over My wrath.” - Hadith Qudsi reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
May Allah grant us all forgiveness and ease in our affairs, may He be in control and command all our affairs and not let us at helm of them even for the blink of an eye. InchAllah, Allahuma ameen.

Monthly reflections
It started out nicely and then it fizzled out because of work and a week of catching flu. I’m still new in my work field navigating the stress of it and trying to balance my personal life. I cant say I’m doing a great job at it, clearly either I’m doing great on my fitness journey and lagging in my tasks or I’m on top of work but not meeting my fitness goals.
I’m trying to balance everything but maybe feeling a bit burned out doing so. I think I have to find my rhythm eventually. Hopefully! I dont despair, I’ve met my fitness goals in more dire situations.
But I do feel my body sending me signals it needs to rest and even mentally by the end of the day my brains are fried. Though all good I’ll slowly get back to where I want to be, I don’t despair! I know I will achieve my goals inchAllah!

The Day of Arafah is considered one of the most important days in Islam. The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.” (Sahih Muslim)
Things to do on Arafah:
🩵 Fast the day if you are not performing Hajj
The Prophet ﷺ said fasting Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.
(Sahih Muslim)
🩵 Make lots of dua
This is one of the best days of the year to ask Allah for everything: forgiveness, rizq, healing, marriage, guidance, peace, children, success, relief, Jannah. Nothing is too small or too big.
🩵 Increase dhikr
Especially but not limited to: SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah
And mostly: “La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.”
For the Prophet ﷺ said: “The best dua is the dua of the Day of Arafah.”(Tirmidhi)
🩵 Pray sincerely
Take your time with your prayers. Pray extra sunnah prayers if you can. Make tawbah. Sit with Allah like He is your closest confident and protector because He is.
🩵 Read Quran
Even a few pages with reflection are valuable.
🩵 Give charity
Even a small amount.
🩵 Reach out and mend relationships if needed
Sometimes one sincere apology or forgiveness changes everything.
Prophets’ duas for Arafah
🩵 For forgiveness - Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when asked for the best dua of Laylat Al-Qadr:
Fasabrun jameel, wallahul musta‘anu ‘ala ma tasifoon.
“So patience is most fitting. And Allah is the One sought for help regarding what you describe.”
And remember:
You do not need perfect iman to turn back to Allah. You do not need to “fix yourself first.” You do not need a dramatic spiritual moment. Sometimes you just need a little small step.
