israel’s military and government has known for 300+ days that the bibas family was dead and used the faces of BABIES to promote and justify their genocide. how fucking morbid. i wish the family and friends of family a very safe healing journey
“So let me get this straight. We’re here to rescue a princess.”
“That’s right.”
“At the request of a princess.”
“Right again.”
“And you, who will be leading the expedition, are also a princess.”
“You’re very perceptive.”
“How big is your royal family, again?“
“We don’t have one.”
“But–“
“We overthrew our monarchy centuries ago, but we kept most of the titles around. The rank of ‘princess’ is held by the directors in charge of various civil service branches.“
“Huh. And the princess we’re rescuing today is in charge of…?”
“Public sanitation.”
“The Lord of Death’s Dominion kidnapped your public sanitation director?”
“We think he’s a little confused.”
I laughed too hard not to reblog this.
I mean. If your goal is to cause maximum death, letting trash, sewage, tainted water, and biohazardous waste pile up in a populated area with zero oversight is a pretty efficient way to go about it
real life cartoon character
I was watching this thinking "What is this guy the Weird Al of symphony?" Then him face
that's not a body that's a collection of limbs
This is quite some dedication to physical comedy for someone who spends so much of his time on stage on the wrong side of an accordion, an instrument I'd describe as "technically portable"
Once knew a guy from LARP who told a story about when he had first gotten his hands on chainmail and was getting used to wearing it and maintaining mobility and balance with the weight of it (it was heavy stuff). So he started wearing it under his clothes when he was out running errands and stuff to practice for when he had to wear it in mock combat.
Then one night he was coming home late and got mugged by a dude with a knife.
Apparently the look on the dude's face was amazing when he went in to gut the guy for his wallet and found out he was wearing medieval armor under his hoodie.
So, you know. Pretty good argument for wearing it under streetclothes!
so maybe my type isn't totally unrealistic
im surprised no one is talking about how elon musk paid people to make high level hardcore characters for him so he could claim it was all his work on livestream only to be immediately exposed as he couldn't even play the game right
like holy shit
is that person actually "demanding emotional labour" from you or did you follow one shitty therapist on twitter
while we're at it did that person actually "violate a boundary" or have you been reading /r/relationships again
I'm not just speaking as someone who was abused by a partner who loved doing their emotional manipulation through therapy-speak. I genuinely think this is a huge societal problem and it's how we've ended up with, eg, terfs inventing the clearly batshit idea that you can apply a "consent" framework to who gets to exist around you in public spaces and making it a cornerstone of their fascist bullshit
their crimes are without number
A collection of gifs from the animation meme I finished recently! I had a lot of fun with it and I think it shows haha
There is something really, uh, telling, about how Jimmy Carter’s presidency was widely considered to be a “failure,” and he also is INARGUABLY the U.S. president who has done the most to promote human rights around the world.
It’s extremely telling, about the U.S. nation-state as a political project and institution, about the federal government as a structure, about the nature of imperialism.
To reference a friend of mine, he was the only U.S. President alive in our lifetime who could avoid the International Criminal Court.
When we consider Jimmy Carter's time in office, we can't ignore that many of the circumstances that made his administration a "failure" were simply bad luck.
Inflation is a whammy that can hit any president, and the forces behind it are often multifaceted and beyond the control of any one person, even someone with the resources of the President. The political situation in Iran was a ticking time bomb that just happened to go off on Carter's watch. Those long lines at the gas stations during the '79 energy crunch mostly resulted from panic buying. And if Operation Eagle Claw hadn't been beset by an absolutely stupid number of mechanical and logistical malfunctions, the rescue of the hostages would have made Carter the hero of the day.
The disasters Carter experienced during his term would have likely KO'ed any president's re-election chances. At least he focused on responding to them with ethics and human dignity in mind, which is more than can be said for most of Carter's successors.

the purpose of friends is to have people who unconditionally hate your shitty exes & relatives. like maybe YOU have a complex relationship with your father but i sure don't. i'm outside his house with a gun. he's not the unforgivable asshole who raised me he's just an unforgivable asshole
