A big reason why I think I became a marxist is bc I read A LOT of Calvin & Hobbes and Bill Watterson really went out of his way to lay the groundwork for teaching people critical analysis. Like take this panel for example:

i had a thought. If the laws/regulation get rescinded, what's to stop companies and websites from continuing id age verification anyway, in a "oh look how good we are! See how we care? Even though we don't have to we're doing age verification because look how much we care about the children."

I suppose you could argue its a request of sensitive info that oversteps boundaries/data harvesting if its not required by law maybe?
