We had a great show last night @lcbdepot - Interact Digital Arts 2019 - Curated by Sean Clark @seancuttlefish. Sean did a full interview / walk through of the exhibition & discussed each piece. Our Arts Council funded first project: "A window to Reality" kicked off on Friday in the first disused shop: the old Burton's in Loughborough town center. Each week we are executing a new installation from a local artist. We record the performance, it can then be re watched again in Augmented reality, and using the Graff.io Arts AR app. Six artists representing one genre. Don't forget to grab a copy our new Graffio Arts AR app built with @swipeandtap on the iOS app store - there's some limited augmented posters put up today around town that can be activated with the app.. ⠀ A Window to Reality is a project that will turn shop windows in Loughborough town centre into sites for viewing digital artworks using augmented reality: ⠀ Virtual imagery that appears as part of the real world when viewed through a digital screen – in this case through phone cameras. Four artists will be curated by Graffio Arts, with two selected through an open call process, and all will be commissioned to make new, site specific work for the project. We've not been out in the local quarries this Thurs, but this photo was taken on Thurs 18th July. A very good day for many reasons :) Going back to my writing notes & scribbles as I must have mentioned L Glutamine to more than a good handful of peoples over the last week. After reading up a bit of how these vegan bodybuilders are being stacked ( with sups ) I decided to revisit L Glutamine supplements. Plus getting tired of people comparing me to a scrawny twig, so it feels like it's time to beef up! Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the body., apparently it helps "gut function, the immune system, and other essential processes in the body" Basically when I take L Glutamine supplements I feel much better, and most importantly it began the process of healing the gut & reducing intestinal permeability. I took it for extended periods of 6 months to 1 year and it a lot to heal my gut after over a decade of damage to my guy from an auto immune illness. I've taken the starchfreediet.com website down as I'm not on that diet anymore. Although I tested it for 5 years and it was very effective at putting my ankylosing spondylitis into remission ( most of the time) I am getting slightly better results on my anti Tnf med's and my current diet, which is almost exclusively plant based. Dropped into Charnwood Quarry tonight ( Thurs ) with Chris as not been in for ages. Last summers exploits from the youngsters cliff jumping, drinking, wild parties & generally having too much fun didn't resonate with the authorites. This had a knock on effect on access for climbers: there was a month last summer when the police camped themselves out with guard dogs & stopped anyone going in. Update: the access from top out Nanpantan Road to the main slab is'still out, industrial fencing & threats of dog patrols. From the farm end there's razor wire which is not very difficult to circumvent. The whole of Nanpantan slab looked like it hadn't been climbed all year and UKC logbooks have just confirmed that to be the case. Loads of loose rock, plenty of gardening required. I can confirm the complete absence of guard dogs, only a family of Peregrine falcons nearby. Happy days - the whole place to ourselves! Went in for a bit of a chill, came out having led a random Extreme with sketchy gear. Happy birthday young un ❤ You're now officially baking better pancakes than me, illustrating better than I ever could and catching up your mother in height & attitude. A fantastic day out in Leicester took us to various exhibitions and workshops, all part of the excellent @culturalquarterearlies. Also nded up checking the exhibition in the @leicesterprintworkshop digital drawing in Virtual reality with a pint ( though not at the same time ) at the Phoenix and trashing the @lcbdepot with pastel graffiti. The youth of today may have it harder in some respects but it feels like there's a lot more on offer than when I was younger. . . All's well in the Alps. Sun came out on Mon, the rain stopped and we've been getting plenty in since then. This is at the top of Le Brévent, over 2500m up, where the air is noticeably thinner. Either the routes are hard or we are all weak as we've been getting spanked on easy ish stuff. Very safe here, bolts everywhere. + the Europeans do alpine stuff super light, I feel like I'm on Duke of Edinburgh with ridiculous amounts of gear! Still buzzing on this Diary free experiment. Feel great - loads more energy, focus improved. Craving meat much less, weirdly I'll eat very little in the week then gorge on it, of quality is available, perhaps just like our caveman ancestors! A few people I've been taking to that removed dairy and / or meat report a similar thing- that they felt better. I feel LOADS better. Not sure why - here's a few suggestions: Diary along with other things creates inflammation in the body. Sustained / chronic inflammation leads to intestinal permeability ( leaky gut ) which is essentially too many things are passing through the intestinal walls and getting into the bloodstream. What can happen next is a host of autoimmune diseases. Those are the diseases where the body starts attacking itself. Sustained inflammation is basically what I've had over many years. It sounds easy to diagnose, but it's tricky to actually recognise when you have it. It creeps up on you. Maybe diary has massively impacted my gut biome and caused a severe imbalance which has led to this intestinal permeability.
