I am on vacation in Puerto Rico for the week, and I took this picture today. This sent me almost immediately to the food court, bought two orders of rice and chicken, a bottle of water, and served them a nice meal. Probably the only meal they'll get to have until only God knows when. Later in the day, when I got back to my hometown, I bought a bag of dog food and some plates to keep in my rental car's trunk to be more prepared next time I see a hungry dog. THIS BREAKS MY HEART enough to want to help in whatever way I can, and IT SHOULD BREAK YOUR HEART ENOUGH to care and do something... Anything. 😥 The stray/abandoned dog problem in #PuertoRico is HUGE! We need more people that care about this issue enough to make a bigger impact, a bigger difference. These dogs NEED us. We NEED to neuter all dogs to prevent this problem from getting bigger than it already is... So WE are not part of the problem, and just part of the solution. There are plenty of organizations in the island that donate their time, money and efforts to help these poor animals that did not ask to be born and tossed to fate without a care in the world.
