My partner is in dire need of help to get the treatment they need.

We just got the call today that a diagnostic procedure scheduled for Friday - that they've been waiting months for - was just pushed out three additional weeks.

We're trying everything we can, but on top of preventative medical costs, we live in an area that has a Dr shortage. I count myself extremely lucky that I've been able to cover living costs for us, but that doesn't leave us with much for anything else including out of area medical help.

Marsha P. Johnson, the Mayor of Christopher Street - August 24, 1945 - July 6, 1992

A founding member of the Gay Liberation Front, co-founder of S.T.A.R., AIDS Activist, and a Stonewall Riot Veteran.

Marsha’s death was ruled a suicide by police, those that knew her disagreed. Despite a witness to a possible brag confession, police were not interested in investigating a possible murder and the case stayed closed. In 2012, activist Mariah Lopez was successful in getting the case reopened. The cause of death was changed from ‘Cause of Death: Drowning / Manner of Death: Suicide’ to ‘Cause of Death: Drowning / Manner of Death: Undetermined’ and the case was again closed.
