Definition: Also known as "meiosis", it is the opposite of exaggeration (hyperbole). It is a figure of speech in which a writer or speaker deliberately makes a situation seem less important or serious than it is. Meiosis can also mean to belittle using a degrading epithet.

Mod note: I LOVE this series. It was one of the first Jaytim fics I read because I had fallen down heartslogos’ rabbit hole. 10/10 recommend.

I wanna ship jaytim (I've seen a tiny bit I'm almost in love) but I don't feel like I know enough about the characters or batman franchise as a whole. do you know of any resources to help a newbie out?
