@jesusbreakmyheel
i feel like we don’t talk about things like this enough
Moroccan architecture (specifically, amazigh from Chefchaouen)
Post-colonial Algerian architecture (Algiers and Constantine):
Mozabite architecture (from Ghardaia, Algeria):
"Here's what we know about SARS-CoV-2: - It is airborne, floating and lingering in the air. - One infection can result in disabling damage to almost every cell in the body, from the brain and heart to the nerves and blood vessels. - Every subsequent infection increases the risk of Long Covid and places people who already have it in greater danger. Here's what we don't know: is what it does to reinfect children, over and over and over again, with no end point in sight from the day they are born. We are about to find out. As Dr. Akiko Iwasaki says, at this point the whole population is the control group, and after only five years, Long Covid has surpassed asthma as the most common chronic illness in children. Five years. I am terrified for the children who do not or soon will not know a world without debilitating pain and exhaustion, who cannot trust their bodies to play, explore and imagine, and who will not know the potential of their own minds, unfettered by the cognitive damage from a Covid-19 infection. And I am furious on their behalf."
Violet Affleck, Youth Advocate Healthy Indoor Air: A Global Call to Action 23 September 2025
I would specifically like to point out the last line of the description here: 23 SEPTEMBER 2025
This is current. This is 1-2 days old (depending on where you are).
This JAMA Pediatrics Patient Page describes the symptoms of long COVID in children.
we actually know another extremely effective way to reduce covid infections in schools and it doesn't even require the willingness and ability to wear a mask all day, and it's good ventilation and air filtration. the fact that simple solutions are simply not being implemented is fucked up beyond anything. anyway I think that advocating for better air quality in schools is probably the most effective thing to do, as it's more 'normal' and comfortable, doesn't rely on kids (and teachers) actually keeping their masks on, and is less politically charged. many different people can agree that better indoor air quality is a good thing
listen man I think people outside of the usa should be able to talk about problems with their healthcare systems without usamericans chiming in on it. "we have the same problems AND we have to pay for them" bestie theres a gender clinic in scotland with a two hundred year wait list
This is not a joke btw the glasgow gender clinic's waitlist is 224 years
thanks tumblr for taking down my piece about censorship! heres a more censored version. i think its an improvement, really
(hey. you can still see it uncensored on bluesky.)
don't ever forget this is the same website where the ceo, matt mullenweg, terminated a trans woman as retaliation for her being upset that her fully sfw , fully clothed selfies were tagged as inappropriate, chased her over to twitter to further harass her, and publicly alluded to the contents of her (up to that point private and unconnected) side blogs. this site's moderation has more than proven that it operates largely on spite and targets rule-abiding accounts entirely because they annoy them.
Companies that rushed to replace human labor with AI are now shelling out to have IRL workers to fix the technology's screwups.
Delicious. We love to see it.
@ralfmaximus
Ultimately, she spent 20 hours redoing the copy from scratch — and with her $100-per-hour rate, that meant her client was shelling out $2,000 for copy that likely would have ended up being far cheaper had a human just written it in the first place.
I love stories like this.

Actually I dgaf what tumblr has to say about hip hop and rap music actually because Black art will always be loved and supported by us matter what. Thank you Black women of hip hop and rap for giving us an outlet to be angry and voice our emotions in spite of the angry Black girl trope. Thank you Da Brat, Queen Latifah, Salt and Pepa and more for starting the lane for women in rap and giving us the Black tomboy rapper. Thank you Lil Kim and Foxy Brown for birthing the sexual hypefeminine Black Barbie and crossing hip hop with high fashion. Thank you Missy Elliot for revolutionising production and choreography in hip hop music. Thank you Nicki Minaj for keeping women's rap alive in the 2010s and showing the versatility of rap with pop music. Thank you Rico Nasty for giving us Black female rage and giving us alt Black girl rep. Thank you Doja Cat and Tierra Whack for giving us quirky Black girl rap representation. Thank you Flo Milli, Leikeli47, Megan Thee Stallion, Lola Brooke, Doechii and more for carrying the torch for the next wave. Thank you especially to Doechii again for proving darkskin women can do anything and that our art matters. Thank you RoXXXan, Lioness and Amplify Dot for starting the renaissance of women in UK rap in the 2010s. Thank you Lady Leshurr for putting UK women's rap on the map. Thank you ENNY for giving us the Black British girl anthem, Peng Black Girls. Thank you Little Simz for carrying the UK rap game on your back no matter how long they doubt you, no matter how long it takes the UK industry to recognise your excellence. Thank you Cristale for paving the way for the next generation in the UK.
Thank you Black women of hip hop for giving us representation across the board . That we can be just as masculine just like the men of rap but also as girly and as feminine as can be. That we can reclaim our sexuality either through open sexual expression without shame or none at all no matter the stereotypes thrown at us. That as queer Black women we exist and we can thrive. That no matter the misognyoir, colourism and queerphobia we exist and we will always be here.
Thank you Black women of rap and hip hop. I love you all!
An actual news source:
This April, Baltimore saw five homicides.
And this, friends, is why you DO NOT rely on LLM's to give you accurate information on literally any topic.
Not only can they just straight up hallucinate "facts" and people that don't exist, they can be tampered with incredibly easily.
Elon saw his LLM was giving information he didn't like so he went in and changed it, first forcing it to constantly talk about white genocide and now to promote openly Nazi propaganda.
we need to invent a way to explain how deep running and pervasive and subliminal racism and antiblackness is without immediately sounding like an insane conspiracy theorist
female characters are always lighter than male characters. strong characters are almost always dark. aggressive characters are almost always dark. peaceful and intelligent characters are almost always light. even amongst darker characters the lightest one is usually either the leader or the girls. dark is evil and light is good.
if you try to explain this to a white person they look at you like youre insane
Yvette Nicole Brown wrote this joke based on actual experience with directors who didn’t want to use the word “sassy” but 100% wanted her to play it sassier.
