unless you want to teach small kids about a laundry list of sex acts, they're not going to even recognise many acts of CSA as sexual in nature. instead, we need to have children who are raised with an expectation of bodily autonomy and who feel comfortable complaining when they're made or asked to do things they don't feel comfortable with. we need children to have the expectation that those complaints will be taken seriously and that they'll receive backup to make sure situations like that don't continue. if their desires for bodily autonomy are consistently ignored, how can we expect them to speak out when something confusing and uncomfortable happens with their parent, cousin, or babysitter? we've already taught them that what they feel comfortable with doesn't matter

How do you feel about zooier than thou?

I suppose I'm neutral about it. I used to listen to it a lot when I was first coming out, but it's been years since I have so I'm not up to date. I did a small fake ad segment on it a while ago, but it was indirect recording, so I didn't speak with the hosts and supporting staff.

I'll admit I don't know everything about it. It seems there have been past (and current/recent?) problematic figures on it, and I would think if there were allegations against them the information was known after the fact. I don't talk to many people that are on the show directly to give a judgment call.

Not sure if that's what you are asking about. I'm admittedly the wrong person to ask for important details, I'm pretty private and only have a couple close friends, plus I haven't been active for a while on zootwt.

Yeah, I would say so, considering there are a lot of species that it wouldn't be safe to have intercourse with. There are people that are asexual as well.

✦ - hello, I’ve recently found out I’m probably a 🐾, though I am very closeted/still in denial.. I think it's due to me being a 100% nonhuman/therian, but also being neurodivergent. From what I understand, it's not entirely uncommon for an anti to realize they are zoo later. Something about repressing that side of you can create malice and lead you to tell others what is right and wrong bc you are afraid of your own feelings.

Zoophilia is just the attraction, anyway. Attraction isn't something you can get rid of so the healthiest thing would be to accept that part of yourself, even if it takes some time considering your previous outlet as an anti.

You can't change the past but you should always strive to be the kindest to yourself and others around you, regardless of previous mistakes or regrets!

I started letting my dog lick me when I was only 7-8, I don't know how it started, but it became a habit when we were alone together and sometimes even under the blanket when family was there. It is something I now feel a deep seated shame for. I used to nurse on a mother dog's teats when I was only 3-4. Naturally, when I found the Internet I would sometimes look things up like this which led to me seeing a lot of very inappropriate bestiality content in elementary school, and thought that this was a normal part of human sexuality. I casually mentioned something about it to a partner in high school who was disturbed by what I brought up, and I realized I could never tell anyone. I don't have a dog anymore or any pets to act this out with, but it is hard for me to get off to anything else. It is shameful and I used to feel disgusted with myself whenever I finished. Years continued and this habit persisted, and now I'm in so deep. I don't interact with anyone else who feels this way. I do not talk to anyone in my life about this aspect of myself. With my dogs, I felt safe, they did not judge me, they loved me and liked to do it. I was exposed to a lot of things as a child too young, but animals did not judge me or hurt me. However now I'm years past all this, I'm very aware that everyone would think I deserved to kill myself if I ever mentioned it, and I know it is wrong to try and coax any animal into doing something it does not want. A lot of content I see mingles with abuse in a way it feels hard to extract it from that context and feels gross to me. It feels impossible to know what to do when this has been routine for over several decades of my life. My dog felt like my secret partner, and now that is long gone. I am disgusted by myself. If anyone ever knew they would hate me. I have never told anyone this though. How does one live like this.

Well, you can't blame yourself for anything that happened when you were a child. People don't talk about it openly due to shame and whatnot, but a lot of sexual things might happen in your formative years (with or without animals) and you might not even register it as sexual, wrong, abusive, etc until later.

I don't think oral is wrong. Personally I don't see it as an issue as long as there aren't any treats to be used to entice the animal. If they initiate it and can leave and stop when they please, then that's the most important part to consider.

If anything is causing you deep distress, you should reach out to an accredited therapist, however.

I am a survivor of the Pulse nightclub shooting, having grown up in Orlando and just turned 20 a month prior. If you didn’t know, there were several families who refused to claim the bodies of their relatives due to their sexuality. One family even had their relative’s name removed from the memorial. Murdered by the same hate with which their families reject them in both life and death.

Many, many people celebrated Pulse. We were told we deserved it. That it was God’s punishment for our sin of loving the same sex. We are sent messages like these I received in 2018:

We in the community often call the victim count 49+ to include the survivors who couldn’t live with the pain.

The event was never officially declared a hate crime or targeted homophobic attack and is rarely listed as one in databases.

At our vigils for those slaughtered, Extremist Christian groups showed up to protest, holding signs like this:

Please understand how much more than just a mass shooting this was. We are still to this day harassed and told we deserved it by some.

This year was the sixth anniversary. The first couple years I received dozens of messages checking in on me on 6/12. Year 5 got enough news coverage for people to think to reach out to me. This year it was my therapist, the woman I kissed in that photo, and a couple of other gun violence survivor friends. People are forgetting already.

what is omniqueer

It means identifying as most genders and being attracted to most things -- enough to incorporate everything. I'm genderfluid so I understand queerness from different angles, such as agender, masc leaning, fem leaning, bigender and all those in between during different points in my life. I also have an attraction to every gender and anything you can think about with varying degrees and nuances and find there is next to nothing that turns me off completely... Though I also have periods of brief asexuality.

There is variation for how people may use it, but it's experiencing all and nothing at once.
