House of the Dragon + in memoriam: Vermax
🥺
It's so beautiful that it still hurts.
the short gap between vermax’s death and those arrows must have been the worst minute of jace’s life. he lost his revered symbol of legitimacy and had to imagine a life as a dragonless targaryen prince. his final, self-loathing thoughts must have been the most bastardphobic thinking ever conceived of in all of westerosi history
Fuck legitimacy symbol, Vermax was hurt, desperate and drawning. Jaces decisions killed his dragon in the worst way imaginable.
When those arrows killed Jace, Vermax was still alive and strugling.
Jaces death was mercifull, Vermax death was torture.
Vermax was able to feel when Jace was gone.
Kudos to Jace for thinking of killing the rider and Vermax for having enough training to execute it, instead of simply giving a command to attack. Jace saw Sheepstealer's size and claws and knew neither his or Baela's dragons could take him on in a dragon fight, so his first thought was a good strategy. And Vermax did a good job dodging last minute. That swerve was insane. He instantly listened to Jace instead of panicking and going rogue. They had a BOND. They were trained.
Me when dragons are dying in a show that is about dragons dying
Wait the book of bill appearing to Ford first is fucking HILARIOUS actually. Ford literally killed Bill less than a month ago, and Bill's still banking so hard on him getting him out of therapy that the book shows up in Ford's stuff MULTIPLE TIMES. Girl the situationship has been over for thirty years give it up 💀
Sometimes tweeter people know their stuff- this is the right kind of toxic angst I want to read.
ford devoting his life to bill and then devoting his life to destroying him but still, it’s all bill, the devotion doesn’t go away, he was in his mind and his body and those imprints will stay there like a wine red stain, what else are you meant to do, you thought you were equals, but he was a god and you were a one-man church and your hands are clasped; no longer in prayer but a bitter guarded fortress. there’s metal in your head.
Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. God and I bet Victor and the Creature are lovers too.
Not an original joke, but hey it doesn't have to be, its Draw a Terrible Comic Day or whatever its called
ALL. OF. THIS.
say what you will about the 90s but there were so so many women on TV with beautiful curly hair. we used to be a proper society
90s curls really were so special and breathtaking

Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.
Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.
No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.
He didn't do it.
The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.
Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?
From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.
I cannot emphasize enough how exactly accurate this is to working in production
god it must be so delightful to be given the opportunity to torment your players with pyrotechnics
