Disappeared for a month because it took a little longer to get back in the groove of routine after spring break than I expected… my bad.
Posting this on a break from studying for my signals exam tomorrow, so I shouldn’t yap too much. Expect another cram post later this week because I have an exam for control systems on Friday. I hope I get the results from last month’s exam before then :P
Timelapse is from last night’s signals study marathon that was filmed on the world’s blurriest most overexposed webcam. Please ignore the messy desk, my junk journal has been neglected since the start of the semester. I should get back to work now…
this too shall pass but the fuck was that for

Opalescent silica again! It looks beautiful and probably means the particles are really small - which is exactly what we wanted - but the downside is it's really hard to centrifuge. We'll see if we manage to get a proper sample out of it
It’s not hard, it’s not that you’re dumb, you just haven’t learned it yet.
not enough secret gardens and hidden passageways and bookshelves that open to a mysterious library these days. get working on that girls.

just found out you can do more than one thing each day. i was just doing the one
3rd person is the most common perspective style…
I want to trap the can't-read-3rd-person poster in the same room as one of those people who hates 1st person so much they want to wipe it from the universe (usually through not being widely read and only encountering 1st person ever in a particularly annoying type of YA fiction). then we'd see who wins, and if they manage to overcome their differences and fall in love. i think i could make a whole anime out of that
The encounter between them should be narrated in second-person. To annoy both of them.
You think that’s a wonderful idea.
Yeah okay, I'll reblog that!
you mean yeah okay you'll reblog that

Tulips are dying but they still look pretty 🌷
I need this week to be fruitful –lots of archival work and academic writing ahead

I spent a lot of time out today. I started feeling guilty this morning because I was not working on my thesis but it was worth it. Tomorrow I plan on rereading all the notes I have written on primary sources, and then I will email the professor. Today I focused a lot of my time on getting work done for my English tutoring sidequest, and now I am all good until next week. I'll be finishing the day by dogsitting the creature. We already spent some time in the garden, so I guess that now she'll be sleepy, which only means one thing: cuddles!
April days of productivity - day 9
Morning reading
Morning walk
Organized my next steps for thesis work
Wrote down a timeline of the primary sources I have read so far for my thesis
Prepared materials for my tutoring side quests
Wrote down some simple notes for the girl I am tutoring (I basically wrote down 5 pages of notes with basic rules mainly for verbs since she is struggling to tell them apart. And so many examples. I did write everything by hand, color coded everything. And yes I am indeed an overachiever)
