I needed to see this today.
Mishipeshu is a water being sometimes known as the “underwater panther.” It is described as having the head and paws of a large cat, but the scales and tail of a fish. It is important in the mythology of several indigenous peoples northeastern America.
The Mishipeshu is often seen as an opposing force to the thunderbird, and as such, the two creatures are considered mortal enemies. Sometimes, they are viewed as malevolent creatures, causing storms, and bringing death and misfortune.

As a trans woman I can confirm that they indeed found an ancient forest inside a 630ft deep sinkhole in China
cis people can reblog this but keep it on subject, please
Happy pride month everyone always remember that the sinkhole has an ecosystem large enough to house not only insects but likely several species of small birds or mammals
just a reminder the only issues with generative ai arent water and global warming. theyre also disgustingly polluting, proven to harm you mentally and intellectually, take insane funding which is diverted from better causes, are replacing easily accessible studies and information, and cause harm to the teaching world in a significant way.
also a reminder people will NOT take your argument seriously if you only use the ai and warming argument, or if you just call it ai. it is specifically generative ai, and people will poke your argument on both the water and "general ai" termanology.
if you wanna stop ai usage, use the correct terms. use the most relevant knowledge. do your own extensive research and have sources on standbye. continue spreading the good messages, just remember to do it right or you'll be ignored.
So excited to announce and soft launch my graphic novel I’ve been working on! The character of Neuro was originally invented for a TTRPG back in 2020 and has since been reincarnated into a separate narrative that I wanted to tell for quite some time. Animation work has kept it on the back burner, but I’ve been slowly chipping away at it! I’ll soon be launching a new Patreon dedicated to the project and will keep you all updated once that’s ready! I’m so excited! 🌱🤖
First image is some of the new character designs and all other images are from 2020-2022 💚

It's finally here! 💕
I remember when I was younger, anytime I watched a movie where the characters have to kill a scary monster/alien, I always thought the act of killing it was intended to be part of the horror. Like there’s this amazing creature that we’ve never seen before, and maybe under different circumstances we could’ve coexisted with it, but it’s trying to attack you and you have to defend yourself, but by destroying it you also destroy the ability to ever understand it and that’s sad and is supposed to make you feel conflicted.
It was not until well into my adulthood that I realized most people do not have complicated feelings about movies where people have to kill a scary alien monster, nor is that necessarily meant to be part of the narrative (unless it very obviously is). They just want the scary thing to die because it’s scary. I don’t have a real conclusion to this I just started thinking about it for some reason.
I always felt I couldn't possibly be upset about dying to an alien monster because proof of otherwordly life is exactly what it'd take for me to die happy
Can I be honest with yall I don't want to hear SHIT against cishets at pride this year
"But it's not FOR them!!!" The biggest military power in the world belongs to a christofascist nation overseen by a felon found guilty of 34 federal crimes and has greenlit a gestapo with more direct funding than the entire military of Canada for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. Let Hetero Jessica throw some biodegradable glitter at a municipal parade
At this point if anyone is trying to exclude anyone benignly pro-queer from a pro-queer space I'm just going to assume you're a fed or something idk like something something destabilize the movement from within or whatever

Yes, we know that to make any possible mild dent in imperialistic power structures all native English speakers alive will first have to become fluent in every other language currently spoken. Why don’t you tell us something whose only viable answer isn’t a self-demonstrating strawman of itself.
When I'm in a putting words in someone's mouth competition and my opponent is a fucking gringo.
"gringos have to learn every single language on earth" is not only not "the only viable answer" to language imperialism, it's also not a position I or anyone is advocating for, and there are counter-arguments I could make here but frankly this ask is so self-evidently stupid that I'm not going to debase myself by engaging with it any further than this.
Actually I'm gonna debase myself a little bit and just a little bit:
It's extremely telling that when you see me point out that Language Imperialism Bad your mind immediately goes to "forcing all anglo pigs to learn every language on earth" as the only answer anyone could ever be advocating for, and the possibility of "not forcing everyone else in the world to learn english if they want to get anywhere in life" doesn't even cross your mind. Really shows who in this equation you see as people and who you see as static background decoration, no?
