The Germans really cooked making "Hobbyless behaviour" an insult. It is both devastating, applicable to a wide range of people and behaviours, and doesn't resort to swearing.
Man ranting on the internet about the Superbowl halftime show or complaining that something is "woke"? Hobbyless Behaviour. Girls mocking another girl for not looking right? Hobbyless Behaviour. Mindless vandalism? Hobbyless Behaviour.
It is more powerful than "get a life" or the English "You're Sad" because it gets to the central point of the matter, and that is wonderful. Danke, Deutsch.
It's called the Global Justice Report, it is here. This is an actionable plan which can be sent to legislators and demanded of political parties. We could save the world within our lifetimes.
It has always been possible. It is still possible.
Reblog this photo of a käpylehmä to have a käpylehmä in your blog
It's a trick! If you reblog you get TWO käpylehmäs in your blog!
The bird app has a lot of garbage but this thread really tickled me this morning:
Bonus:
This will never be called religious extremism by the media because that term is reserved exclusively for Muslims.
You are an unreliable narrator because your coping mechanisms for your deep-seated trauma forbid you from acknowledging the reality of the situation. I am an unreliable narrator because I sincerely have no idea what the fuck is going on.
Another artfight attack!! Maleros!! @charrtastrophe
So, I've talked before about how trying to assemble all the events leading up to and following the Trojan war onto a single timeline doesn't really make sense. (The Greeks didn't care and the events were patchedworked together over centuries of additions. It's fine.)
So, for example, the wedding where Paris has to pick "The Fairest" and gets promised Helen? That the marriage of Achilles' parents. And Achilles is at least a young man (older teen? He can still successfully disguise himself as a girl, so probably not growing a beard yet) when the war starts, so a decent gap of time.
And all the art always just shows everyone as like, lithe 20 somethings all the time, but, just....imagine.
Imagine that Paris is *young*, 10 or 12 maybe, when he's chosen as the mortal to settle this debate over the apple. He's just a kid, the youngest of Priams 50 sons, sent to die in the woods and raised as a shepard in secret to try to avoid a prophesy that he will be the end of Troy.
And here is pretty Aphrodite, promising him that when he's old enough to marry, when he's accepted as a proper prince of Troy, she'll give him the most beautiful mortal woman alive. It's a sacred promise.
But Helen hasn't been born yet. Aphrodite doesn't know- doesn't know the Zeus will father a mortal princess whose marriage will be a political crisis- whose marriage will need to be sealed with a treaty so that her hand won't be the prize of one war after another after another (what king wouldn't want a daughter of Zeus at his side, after all? Helen is kidnapped before she's old enough to wed by Theseus, yes that Theseus, for exactly that reason.) Aphrodite doesn't know that by the time this young boy becomes a young prince, Helen will be newly married (married, likely, fairly young, to stop any more kidnapping attempts.)
But a sacred oath is a sacred oath.
And Paris grows up. And Helen is born. And Paris is recognized as a prince. And Helen is married. And maybe Paris had forgotten all about that strange dreamy afternoon when he was asked an impossible question and promised a fairy tale when he was a lonely little boy. And Helen, safely married, a young mother, finally feels safe knowing that she is safe from being kidnapped again because a treaty binds her marriage.
But a sacred oath is a sacred oath. And a prophesy is a prophesy.
i think some of you guys should question why algorithms are only feeding you this negative information about argentina, only representing us as either violent, racist, or both, instead of showing you the black and brown argentinians and immigrants who are trying to tell you how it is living here, instead of showing you families being happy about the wins or argentinians supporting other latam countries throughout the world cup, algorithms that are programmed and designed overwhelmingly by usa rightwingers and zionists, and why would they want the world to have such a negative image of argentina at the same time as our president, a us/israeli puppet, is trying to remove laws that protect our land and resources so billionaires in those countries can buy it and exploit it, at the same time as peter thiel moved to argentina because he knows that same puppet president will give him whatever the fuck he wants and let him do whatever the fuck he wants, at the same time as israeli companies are trying to buy our water and burn our forests. think about it.
seek leftist argentinian voices, indigenous argentinian voices, black and brown argentinian voices, progressive argentinian voices. learn about our history and our current political climate from them, not from your algorithm, not from whatever goes viral.
For those of you who are genuinely interested in listening to afroargentinian voices, you can follow Emmanuel Ntaka, Zoe Gerbaudo, Jennifer Parker and PibaAfroQom.
All of them have spoken out about the dangers of this campaign that only erases afroargentines even more.
After an IDF sniper from Chicago kills an unarmed civilian in Gaza, he then snipes and kills his unarmed younger brother trying to retrieve his brother's body. US-funded serial killer from Chicago says: "I mean, what was so important about that corpse?"
an attached screenshot reads: Daniel Raab shows no hesitation as he watches footage of 19-year-old Salem Doghmosh crumpling to the ground beside his brother in a street in northern Gaza. "That was my first elimination," he says. The video, shot by a drone, lasts just a few seconds. The Palestinian teenager appears to be unarmed when he is shot in the head. Raab, a former varsity basketball player from a Chicago suburb who became an Israeli sniper, concedes he knew that. He says he shot Salem simply because he tried to retrieve the body of his beloved older brother Mohammed. "It's hard for me to understand why he [did that] and it also doesn't really interest me," Raab says in a video interview posted on X. "I mean, what was so important about that corpse?"
"a former varsity basketball player from a Chicago suburb".
USians travel thousand of kilometres to go terrorise Palestinians, and people still have the temerity to wonder why the resistance fighters had to fight.
How must that mother feel?
The man is openly laughing on TV about killing her entire family for shits and giggles.
He doesn’t care.
And now he wants to be a paediatrician. A doctor who helps children.
I would trust that Daniel Raab around children much in the same way I would trust a vicious bull dog around toddlers.
Andrew Tate and his bro are being extradited to the UK to stand trial for rape and sex trafficking. Trump must be pissed that he can’t pardon them.
what if American Psycho was wet?
