Like i dont know about you guys but in getting really tired of all the dumb will has powers theories. They make no sense go me and are just straight up cringey and silly. This isnt marvel or dc. Now im sure his ability to sense will be more heightened but that's it in my opinion. I really dont see why he has to have powers and yes I am biased because itll be disrespectful to els character for a few reasons. Also its just silly. From a narrative perspective it just sounds silly.

Milevens also continuously ignore the cinematic choices of the Duffers.

The Duffers were trying to bring the outcasts together, the one's you make comments like this don't truly understand the show.

Im definitely the type to not love again if my life partner died hypothetically (even though I dont wanna get married 😅) but yes I agree. Its super hard to imagine mike with another girl after els death because there is no other girl who could truly understand him in the way el does. Yes that sounds silly because theres a million other girls but mike doesnt want another girl he just wants el.

Because he knows shes the only one who could understand him to the fullest. I've said it before, if el dies mike will also die, not physically but emotionally. He would be like her mom, he'd be alive but not living. He would be stuck forever and it would be so tragic. As for el, I dont know for some reason ive always felt that she would be able to go on but maybe not with someone else. She would try not to think about him but eventually fall into that sadness.

Maybe because mike is so used to getting her back and then losing her right after, he couldn't even say I love you because he was afraid she'd leave him.

Like disagree if you will but Mike's kind of dependant on el for happiness. El is too but I feel shes a bit more independent, we also have to remember that they grew up differently. Im gonna feel so bad for mike this season because he's really going to go through it and the possible el fakeout death is definitely gonna make it worse. Poor mike, I seriously hope if they do fakeout we get to see his full devastation. I'm talking bawling and crying and just hopper hugging him while hes also devestated.

when and where the duffers said that the story was about will? I dont want drama i just want clarification. Since when is this wills story? El bias aside, he was a recurring character in season 1, a victim in season 2, didnt do much in season 3, was too busy crying because mike loves el more than anyone else. Now of course he gets to be a victim again in season 5 thanks to vecna. Sooo, how is this his story again?

Like I genuinely wanna know. When did the duffers say that stranger things is a story about will?

Also, bylers, you're annoying and you suck. I cant even enjoy the mileven tag because all you morons are there. I said I didn't want drama but I do want to vent. I spoke of my experiences, doesnt mean im trying to be the victim. And funny you speak of me policing my side, you should apply that logic to your people first buddy. And I wasnt here when the so called history you speak of with milevens and bylers began. I only joined tumblr a little bit after season 4 was over and this dumb ship war for a dumb ship began. So I cannot verify that statement. But from what ive seen over the years the dislike for bylers on my side also did not materialize over nothing and yes you're right.

There's bad behavior on both sides but the side that I see right now that is annoyingly desperate and argues with anyone who disagrees with their delusion, yeah thats your side buddy. And the difference between mileven is bylers is we get attacked for defending a canonical ship by using canonical evidence, by using details canonically supported by the narrative of the show. You guys get attacked because when anyone dares to disagree with you by using that evidence you get all uppity about it and then spew the overused word homophobia.

You guys use that word every time just cause someone dares to tell you no. And the reason I made this post is cause im tired of us having to feel bad for enjoying something that has been written since the first season. You guys just suck the joy out of it just cause you want to see a forced gay relationship.

There's a reason why the majority on the ST subreddit dislike bylers, because they're annoying, desperate, some are rude and because most of you guys ignore the narrative details and stories only when its convenient for you.

So im not gonna feel bad for enjoying and advocating for straight ships when its clear that it was meant to be written that way.

I don't really agree with that honestly. I don't think most bylers are "media-illiterate" or insufferable. The interactions I've had with them have actually been very nice. Yeah, sometimes some of their theories can be a little ridiculous but other ones are actually kind of convincing and sort of make sense from what I've seen. I'm still 100% sure that Mileven is endgame, and I don't doubt that in the slightest, but you don't have to be so rude to bylers about it.

If somehow the Duffers do end up making byler canon, I don't think it would be them "caving in to fandom entitlement", I would say it's probably what they intended all along. The Duffers have their plan for how things will end, and have since the beginning of the show. Whether byler or Mileven ends up being the endgame couple, it won't be because of people in the fandom, it will be because that's the story the writers want to tell.

Again, I really don't think byler is going to happen, but I'm not one of the people who will be upset if it does. I ship Mileven, I don't ship byler. But first and foremost I just want the show to tell a good, engaging story, and for the characters I care about to be happy. If you don't like seeing byler posts then block those tags, it's not really that hard. People like you are why Milevens have such a bad reputation, just be kind to people. Who cares what other people believe about a TV show? It really doesn't matter that much.

Yes, there are some bylers who are mean too and sucky people, but literally every single group/community to ever exist has people like that, including us Milevens. Just calm down and be respectful to people. Jeez.

Personally as an autistic person myself, I have never and would never infantilize El or say ableist things about her, and some people probably do, but most Bylers that I talk to don't. And we don't try to make Mike and El's relationship toxic, we just like to point out some of the ways + times in the show that it kind of is. And there are other points in the show where it isn't and they are pretty cute (some S1 and S2 moments come to mind for me).

And then the rest of what anon said is just ridiculous. I do relate to a couple things they said though, because when I hear Milevens or anti-Bylers say stuff like this "I can't stand it" and "I feel like I'm losing my mind!" Lol.

Says someone being mean because we disagree with your ship. Make it make sense. Yeah, of course there are jerks that ship Byler, there are jerks in every community. That doesn't mean you have to be a jerk back, or be mean to everyone in that community, or assume we're all toxic, or call our ship "dumb".

I'm sorry you've experienced bullying from some Bylers, that's terrible and I don't condone bullied regardless of what side it comes from. But that doesn't mean it's ok for you to bully us. The amount of bullying I and other Bylers have received from Milevens and anti-bylers is insane. And yeah, I poke fun at them sometimes, but I don't reblog them directly and call them names or call their ship dumb. That's just basic fandom etiquette. You can have whatever opinion you want, and even express it somewhat in your own spaces, but when you start saying things like this directly to the people you disagree with, that's too far imo.

I gotta tell you dude. Being a Mileven fan and a casual one at that, is so difficult.

I like their relationship, it’s flawed but it’s a cute and fairly healthy one all things considered, but everywhere I look I said media-illiterate Byler nonsense, infantizing El with ableist comments, trying to make Mike and El’s relationship as toxic as possible. I can’t stand it.

I’m sure Mileven will be endgame, but I’m kinda worried, what if the Duffer Bros cave into fandom entitlement and make Byler a thing, they Byler fanatics will be insufferable.

The Byler stans I see are just ridiculous annoying, they’re so proudly incorrect with their notions and I feel like I’m losing my mind!

I don't really agree with that honestly. I don't think most bylers are "media-illiterate" or insufferable. The interactions I've had with them have actually been very nice. Yeah, sometimes some of their theories can be a little ridiculous but other ones are actually kind of convincing and sort of make sense from what I've seen. I'm still 100% sure that Mileven is endgame, and I don't doubt that in the slightest, but you don't have to be so rude to bylers about it.

If somehow the Duffers do end up making byler canon, I don't think it would be them "caving in to fandom entitlement", I would say it's probably what they intended all along. The Duffers have their plan for how things will end, and have since the beginning of the show. Whether byler or Mileven ends up being the endgame couple, it won't be because of people in the fandom, it will be because that's the story the writers want to tell.

Again, I really don't think byler is going to happen, but I'm not one of the people who will be upset if it does. I ship Mileven, I don't ship byler. But first and foremost I just want the show to tell a good, engaging story, and for the characters I care about to be happy. If you don't like seeing byler posts then block those tags, it's not really that hard. People like you are why Milevens have such a bad reputation, just be kind to people. Who cares what other people believe about a TV show? It really doesn't matter that much.

Yes, there are some bylers who are mean too and sucky people, but literally every single group/community to ever exist has people like that, including us Milevens. Just calm down and be respectful to people. Jeez.

Personally as an autistic person myself, I have never and would never infantilize El or say ableist things about her, and some people probably do, but most Bylers that I talk to don't. And we don't try to make Mike and El's relationship toxic, we just like to point out some of the ways + times in the show that it kind of is. And there are other points in the show where it isn't and they are pretty cute (some S1 and S2 moments come to mind for me).

And then the rest of what anon said is just ridiculous. I do relate to a couple things they said though, because when I hear Milevens or anti-Bylers say stuff like this "I can't stand it" and "I feel like I'm losing my mind!" Lol.

Thanks "Nicest Mileven Ever™" for defending us. We may disagree and interpret the show differently, but we really don't have to fight like that. Its super satisfying seeing the bylers doubt themselves. I've seen alot of these loons talk about byler doubt and have to reassure themselves that its just "straight baiting" or a diversion to keep the milevens happy and not ruin it. Yeah keep telling yourselves that you dummies. If you guys were actually so confident you wouldnt need to convince yourselves every 5 seconds. You dont have facts, you have opinions and theories. The only fact you have is that will is gay and likes mike. The facts we have is mike clearly likes girls and has only dated and shown romantic interest in el. And they've never shown any intention of wanting to leave each other.

but posts like this make me so disappointed. not because of the opinion (everyone can have one!) but because of the tone. rage-baiting and trying to make people fight each other takes away everything that’s fun and beautiful about being in a fandom. why can’t we just enjoy our own ships in peace without trying to tear others down? 💭

Im afraid you'll have to tell that to your own people first buddy. Tell that to the morons who come into our tags and already negativity and cross tag on purpose. worried about her placement on the poster. Remember that in the first poster for season 1 will was also at the top while el was in the middle with her hand stretched out. El is also again in the middle just like season 2 as well and will above. It doesnt mean will is more important than her. Remember that judging off the trailer its clear will is gonna once again be used as a spy just like season 2 and el shut the gate. El is still gonna be the front runner on the ground fighting vecna while will is gonna be a more aggressive spy and vessel to be used by vecna and then probably be discarded. Vecnas not gonna possess el, remember Max's placement on the season 4 poster as well. El is always gonna be either in the middle or at the top so dont worry. She'll still be the one to kill vecna with a group effort and she's still the main. The reason why I made this post is cause I was kinda worried as to why el wasnt at the very top given her title and position and I knew that all these weird and aggressive will/byler fans would try and use that to prove that will was the chosen one and what not.

Sorry if this seems pointless guys I just wanted to address something that I also overthought and in case anyone else was thinking it.
