I rarely post my opinions on movies, but...
In Spiderman Far From Home, I hated the ways the adults manipulated Peter into doing what THEY wanted him to do. And then guilt-trip him for not being able to match their expectations.
He is just a KID.
Maybe not a kid, but a 16 year-old who just went through a lot of things and hasn't been able to process them, who is still going through the grieving stages after losing a father figure. Who just wants a break.
Instead of supporting him, he was pingponged around by two narcissists (?), while another adult very capable of stepping in did nothing.
It is very easy to forget he is just a kid who was shoved and forced into being a life saving hero who is expected to make crystal clear morally correct decisions. Not even adults can do that. That's why Civil War happened, because there are no easy choices.
For Spiderman fans who thinks his decisions were wrong. Remember, he is a kid who only wants to be accepted, loved and protected, who wanted to enjoy being a teenager, if only for once. Who was grieving.
The adults did Peter Parker dirty. Except for Happy, maybe. The man really stepped up this time.
That's it, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
