The story of how Milo successfully broke my heart this morning: I went to my car after feeding him to head to work. Even though my #Google Assistant adamantly told me 4 times it was not going to #rain today, I didn't believe her after looking at the clouds. So I went back in to grab my #Army hat and as I opened the front door, Milo bolted out and as I told him to come inside he hops in my car through the driver door. I tried calling him a few times with no success, so I went to go get him out. Before I did, of course I snapped the first #photograph. 😂 I get him out and as I'm sending the picture to my #friends and #boyfriend, he's sniffing around the #garden (Not trying to get in my car). So I send the picture and tell him "Alright, time to go inside." Immediately he bolts back to my car 😂 This time I walked him back inside, gave him a bunch of #pets and tried to leave, at which point he blocked me from closing the door with his big #pitbull head. I push his head back in and get back in my car. But he can't let me leave with my #heart even a little bit in tact, so he runs to the window and #barks until I'm out of sight. For #TransformationTuesday, I'll post this collage including one of my #Graduation #photos. Anyone who knows me well, or even just a little, probably knows that I absolutely despised my time at Stephens College. I am in no way sad to be moving on. So, while everyone else was posting about loving their time there, I was thanking God it was over while attempting to put my thoughts into words. Without any superficial lies, I am thankful for a few things at Stephens College. First, that they connected me to Second Chance - were I was able to foster and rehome numerous dogs, while learning about tactics to use with my own #dog, Milo. I'm thankful that I found my friends by attending this college, many of whom are picture (But not all because I ran out of room.) I can't be sad about leaving them, because true friendships will outlast the distance and time, and moving on allows for additional new friends. I am also #thankful because through their hatred and intolerance of different ideas, I learned to stand up for myself and others - as well as truly learning what I believe in. As a #futurelawyer, having to defend not only my own beliefs, but also the beliefs of others that I didn't always agree with made me learn to look at things from someone else's perspective and, overall, made me better at debating. I am thankful for some outstanding #professors who put all of the inept professors I had to shame by teaching me #Psychology, #AmericanSignLanguage (#ASL), and helping me in life in general. I'm thankful that I chose a college in #Columbia because it fueled my #love of #nature and allowed me to explore #Missouri. Columbia has also allowed me to get a great starting #job with the prosecutor's office and become a Court Appointed Special Advocate for #children (#CASA) in addition to volunteering for various organizations like #IJM. I will continue participating in #Dressember for years to come. So, even if Stephens was a terrible experience, it did have a purpose in making me who i am.Here's to moving on to #CriminalJustice and #law at much better #colleges! 🖖🖖🖖 👍👍👍 👏👏👏 #futureleo #thinblueline #future #goals #movingon #beliefs #hiking #friends (at Columbia, Missouri)

So begins the week of me posting my #graduation photos and thank yous. First of, because it's #ManCrushMonday, I have to thank the best #boyfriend a girl could ask for. On top of just generally being amazing, he put up with me randomly snapping at him because I was overly #stressed, even though it had everything to do with school and nothing to do with him. He also helped me run results for my #capstone study - and believe me, that was no fun. (On top of the fact that he's going through his own law enforcement training.) So, even though @bademuth94 is a new addition to my life, he played a significant role in preventing me from going absolutely crazy these past school year. Over the past few weeks, every day that we go biking (which is most days), I've getting Milo to walk into the river, when he did that willingly and even started standing in it, I started pushing him into a lake (tough love). Earlier today he jumped into the lake by himself. So at the creek we pass towards the end of our bike ride, we made him swim between the two of us about 3 times!
