the concept of laika the dog and simon the convict from iron lung being drawn together as the patron saints of one way trips is so unbelievably bittersweet. i saw the film i get it but also. henry passed during production and i think mark would find it very sweet that people have given the film character a dog as a parallel, almost like a partner. thinking about laika too hard makes me cry she deserved so much better than being sent up with no plan for landing her shuttle or even retrieving it.

no one deserves to be left behind to die in the name of advancement.

I hate when people ask me how long it took me to crochet something I’ve made. Frankly, that’s none of my business. I put the yarn on the hook and worked on it whenever the spirit happened to take me to and then one day it was done. How long that process took is between the yarn and god; I want no part of it.

question for people with (nr)/axSpA: does stiffness make it uncomfortable the first few moments after laying down? i’ve been experiencing this for so long and it’s not particularly painful but it’s fucking annoying

YES god it drives me crazy. Anytime I lay on my back I have to breathe deeper for a bit because my back, chest, and joints are so stiff I can’t breathe properly, but that’s just my experience. You’re definitely not alone

Steve comes out as bi and Dustin’s like ‘perfect’ and immediately reaches out to his favorite musician. He messages Eddie Munson from Corroded Coffin on every platform he exists on like, “I see that you only date losers. Let me introduce you to Steve. Here is a picture.”

Until I saw these tags I thought that Dustin somehow acquired a headshot of Steve and had the hilarious mental image of Dustin forcing Jonathan to stalk Steve and get a good picture of Steve for the sole purpose of sending it to his favorite musician without Steve knowing about it.

Not sure how Dustin would convince Jonathan to do that, but he’s a determined boy so I believe he could.

Yapping about my silly little mystery headcanon:

I see lots of things where people are like “Oh, mystery had gorgeous eyes!” and “if he had a deformity or disability, his eyes must have been fixed!” and “his eyes were so beautiful but he couldn't take away from Jinu!” but let me present the idea that no, his eyes were not visibly fixed. Let me present the idea that he, as a child in 1600s Korea, was born with a vision defect, or a disease affecting his vision. I personally believe it was glaucoma and my reason will be shown in a minute. He became a teenager and became annoyed at needing so much help from caretakers (his parents) and being ignored because of his disability. He became sour about the fact that there was nothing but a crude cane made out of a tree branch that he could use to feel at what was on the ground in front of him to walk. He became upset because he felt dehuminazed and barely got the chance to even speak because everyone assumed he was stupid due to his disability that was completely unrelated to his voice and his mind.

So, he made a deal with Gwi-Ma. He begged Gwi-Ma to fix his sight, to let him live like everyone else, and it worked. He could see, but it caused him to change. He gained his markings and became a demon, being removed from the human realm.

To remind everyone of his human life were his eyes. His eyes were not changed in appearance, only in function. That’s why he hides his eyes. Because no matter what he does, even if his eyes look almost ethereal, he cannot pass as a “normal” human with them. His eyes look different because he hadn't wished for them to look normal, he had wished to see. He didn't know they had looked different because he couldn't see them. But, now he can, and now he hides them from everyone's sight.

I have particularly chosen glaucoma because of how it can cause the eyes to look. I believe they look nice from a design standpoint, and that it could fit for a demon character because of it looking almost unreal.

I read this as cloth goths only so I was very confused on what a “cloth goth” was
