“Indeed. I see I’m not the only one travelling these parts. How have you been? And who is this little one?”

She gestured for Dis to join her at the local inn if she wished. “Fresh bread and soup, both still hot if you’re hungry.”

“I are not long ago so I shall pass on food, but joining ye would be nice. It’s been a while since I saw any of our race.” Dis moved after Totti and into the inn, taking a seat where indicated and giving a strained smile to Totti.

“I left home, Totti. Thorin does nay know where I am and he can nay. Please do nay tell anyone. It puts the life I made at risk.” She meant both the life she built with her Vili and the literal life of this wee barin in her sling. “I miss home, though. Have you been there recently? Is there any news of my fither?”

“It’s been awhile since I saw a familiar face, myself,” Totti replied as she sat at the table. “I go back on occasion, but not with any regularity. I haven’t heard anything on your father but I did see your brother. And don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone where you are. Should I at least tell Thorin you look well? He worries. About a lot of things. I at least try and get decent food into him and the others when I’m home.”

RPThreadTracker Is No Longer Shutting Down - But It Needs Your Support! <3

Hello, everyone of the Tumblr RP community!

As I mentioned in my previous post…I’ve been really floored and touched by the response to my original intention to shut down RPThreadTracker. I’ve gotten plenty of extremely kind messages from so many of you saying that it’s been a critical part of your roleplay experience, and I’d be lying if I said that enthusiasm hasn’t helped rekindle my own for the project (and programming in general, really; 2020 has been a tough year…)

However, a number of the things I said in the original shutdown post do still stand. I have other projects which are becoming a conflict for my development time, and hosting the tracker is (sadly) not free. With that in mind:

RPThreadTracker is not shutting down! But it could really use your support in the following areas.

I will over the next few days/weeks be using the Issues tab on these projects to start collecting a list of outstanding issues and feature ideas that I have for the site, so that should be a source of ideas going forward for anyone who wants to contribute coding time. I will also be phasing out the contact form in the application in favor of redirecting users to log bug reports on GitHub as well to make it easier for contributors to address them as well as me.

Please feel free to get in touch with me if you are interested in contributing but don’t know where to start or have questions. You can also join the Discord server linked in my GitHub bio - it’s primarily oriented towards my Twitch gaming community but I also discuss programming stuff there and would love for it to be more of a forum for web development chat.

Have you ever been listening to Rainymood and thought, “Yeah, this is good … but it would be nice if I could customize the sound more, or if there was a little more choice.

You can adjust the levels based on what you want to hear more and less of.  Here’s how it looks when you want high, pattery rain and low, rumbly thunder:

I just skimmed the article, here’s what’s cool:

The minimoon is about 2 meters in diameter. It’s like the size of your couch.

If it were headed towards us it would burn up in the atmosphere. It is not headed towards us.

The short name is CD3.

They had to do extensive test to make sure that this was actually a mini Moon and not a man-made object being mistaken for a minimoon, Again. This has happened before. They are sure this time.

It’s already leaving. We captured it for about 2.9 years in orbit and it is on its way out.

Generally a minimoon is captured for only nine months so this is astonishing.

It spins a hell of a lot slower than what minimoons usually do.

The last time we had a mini moon was about 14 years ago, 2006.
