Hi, I love your blog, keep up the amazing posting! I just have a question. The theme of angels 'in the machine' seems rather unique to me, and I've not seen it discussed elsewhere. Would you be willing to share some of your thoughts/inspirations/explanations for this theme? <3 !!
Angels are essentially divine machines. They are created by God with a specific purpose. Much like we create our ‘angels.’ We are the higher power who create machines to fulfil the purposes we give them.
Angels do not question this purpose. They do not posses their own free will. They exist on a linear path, similar to machines programmed to run on algorithms and commands. Running on a string of tasks, made to work and serve.
And if the angel rebels, it is cast out. It loses its divinity and its wings. It is broken, much like broken code and damaged tech. Much like we throw it out and replace with a new model.
Angels are also like telephone poles and transmission towers, created to send messages. Metaphorically speaking, the pure intent and function of angels and cell towers are the same. Their job exists on the same linear path, much like cables carrying messages back and forth, or trains and cable cars. The rings on top of telephone poles are halos.
Pylons are also angels! Giant and intimidating, with such intricate detail. Such raw power. The sweet hum is the angels singing. So beautiful, but get too close to the power and you die.
Angels and technology share ideas of perfection, purity, and of a creation designed only to be an extension of the will of their creator.

Ninetales TOMYs. The original matte finish made by TOMY and distributed by Hasbro in the 1990s, and the glossy versio released during R/S/E.
The second image shows what I assumed was a bootleg version of the original TOMY, but it's so well made that I'm honestly not certain. Some clear versions of the TOMYs were produced (the most notable being Gengar), but there’s so much unreleased merch that it's possible this was infact made with the official mould.
Easiest way to tell these apart is by the numbers on the bottom. 4 is the number for the oldest models and 2 is for the newer versions.
When TOMY figures are recasted to make counterfeit copies, these numbers are often lost during production. Here's an example of a pretty convincing counterfeit, main issues being the cast being slightly wider than the original, with a slightly less accurate paint job and the number missing on the bottom
The fact the clear figure has a number is really cool because it's either a really early counterfeit or may actually be an unreleased variant? I'm honestly not quote sure but if nothing else it's the most accurate counterfeit I've ever seen.

Two Billboards Outside Jackson Mississippi
I used to pass by these billboards frequently. Seeing this on Tumblr gave me an aneurysm. Anyway, I feel like the building doesn't get enough appreciation for how fucking ugly yet wonderful it looks.
Fucking Christ.
HEL-lo!

(the werewolf billboard isn't half bad either, not my kink but absolutely my kind of Pulp Horror Halloween artstyle)
