These were actually written a while ago for Mari's birthday xD I did two because I was in the process of learning Yves/Arabella lore lmao asjidhvjghdschkh

Enjoy! Thank you for following me this long, haha....
Due to school, personal issues, and physical health, I have not been active on and will not be active on this blog.
Thank you for liking my writing. I am glad to have written something you enjoy. If you want to see more of my work, I have some old things up on my AO3 Kiyo_Mizuki. I do not plan to write new stories atm.

And, yes, I do still keep up with twst EN and JP. I will not abandon this blog forever, just for some time to get my life together.
Another aspect I don't believe many talk about in relation to fandoms and canonical character ages is the fact that some media may have characters who are minors but that that piece of media is explicitly not for minors regardless. An example of this is Black Butler, Ciel, in spite of his facade, is a child if not young teen and yet the content of Black Butler is not suitable for children nor young teens. I wouldn't recommend the series for anyone below eighteen because of its content which can be found highly upsetting.
The inverse of this (a piece of media with adult characters meant for minors) is My Little Pony, especially Gen4 in which each of our main six characters are adults with adult jobs and responsibilities.
[ Referencing this post! ]
I actually didn’t realize that people were out here saying you can’t be a fan of a piece of media if you don’t match the age of the main character(s) or whatever the majority of the cast is 😭 Like… there are so many exceptions, some of which you’ve already included in the ask. Let me throw in a few of my own.
A lot of animanga is set in high school—not because they’re always for high schoolers, but because high school is the last section of compulsory education (therefore being something most people have experienced and can relate to). Adult anime fans can still read, watch, and support their favorite series. They’re the ones buying most of the merch and con tickets because they have disposable income. Many children’s shows can feature adult characters, usually to be mentors or teachers to the kids. Some, like Bluey, even have lines or entire episodes specifically geared towards the adults they know may be watching with their kids. There’s adult cartoon fans as well. There’s not a single day where I don’t see someone screeching about the triangle from Gravity Falls 😭
My point is, media consumption isn’t strictly limited or determined by the ages of the media’s characters. Evaluate each work on its own merits to determine what is and isn’t appropriate for a person of a certain age to engage with!!
The past few months, I’ve been fighting my cancer.
Hello, everyone. My name is Lan but most know me as Cee. I am a writer and very much active on X to write for Yume and x reader!
The past few months, I’ve been fighting my cancer and struggling to make ends meet. Struggling to just live every day without fearing if I would still survive another day.
My friend made me a GoFundMe link for me and I hope everyone who read this could share it on their social media and many other platforms✨
I'm starting a GoFundMe for my friend Alandra, who I met in I… Millie McCartney needs your support for Support Alandra’s Urgent Surgery for
You see... I still want to live...
Hence I keep on doing something that I love every day, and it’s WRITING! I never stop writing because I dream of pursuing my career there and studying Literature for my Master’s.
However, I have to focus on my health first.
My performance has been PLUMMETING ever since I got this disease. But I continued to work on my comms because that also keeps me alive💗 It is hard to gather fund from working alone because I have to eat and work for my family.
2025 has been ROUGH for me. From my parents got scammed and we lost millions to me getting cancer. My preparation for my graduation was also on hold and messy, I didn’t have the privilege to think of it. Even though I wanted to go all out.
Right now, I worked almost 12 hours a day to do my writing commissions and any other projects. In the hope it would be enough. My doctor reccommend me to do the surgery this OCTOBER as it has been 3 months since I was diagnosed.
Therefore ...
Sharing the link would help so much! To fam, friends, your Insta, streaming platforms, anywhere, really!
And if you decided to donate and want some drabbles, I can absolutely write them for you!
Thank you for taking the time to read this small thread🥰

Synopsis: In a moment of [Name]'s self-doubt as Rhodolite's Belle-turned-future-leader, Chevalier attempts to offer "comforting" words even if it's an entirely new experience.
Pairing: Chevalier Michel/GN!Reader
Details: Pre-Curse of Love, Established Relationship
Note: This drabble uses they/them pronouns to be inclusive to all fans of the Ikemen Series games; however, following the plot of the series generally, the reader is still written as Belle. Whatever gender implications this has are not relevant to this story.
It was a sound that Chevalier was both familiar yet unfamiliar with. He had heard tears before, seen them stream down the cheeks of those begging for their lives, heard the sobs of his little brothers, at least when they were young. But it was a foreign concept to have the will to do anything about someone's tears or to feel helpless at the sight of them. Truly, this was an unexpected emotion to feel in his chest.
When they, the one he had come to love and who had changed a beast into a man, expressed these kinds of emotions, he felt the urge to do anything within his ability to make sure they were reassured. Though there might be a better way to go about it, he noted, seeing as they seemed to be under the impression that tears were bad.
He disagreed wholeheartedly on that front.
To have emotions, to be human, is not a weakness. He had never thought once that being human was a weakness for anyone but himself. He was quite sure he had said that part, yet it likely sounded like backwards gibberish to someone who opposed his views so ardently. So he assumed they wouldn't remember that now.
Chevalier turned to them, having sat silently in their shared bedroom as they tried to wipe their tears and smile for him. Perhaps he would have spoken sooner, but they seemed determined to show a happy face, so he thought to at least let them try before the inevitable crumbling of their resolve. And they did try very hard to do so.
"[Name]."
Upon hearing him say their name, they looked up at him, eyes red and lips still quivering. They seemed to be searching for something in his eyes. He knew what it was. Chevalier wanted to ease their hurt, but it was not as simple as that. Is it ever? It may have been if this were not a recurring issue that could arise over anything within reason. They were consumed with feelings Chevalier was too familiar with, having grown up with his fool of a brother.
"You are doing well," he said, staring them down.
They seemed surprised by this choice of words. Was he too sparing with praise, or had they simply not expected him to say anything? It was more accurate to say that [Name] was startled by hearing the words they may have needed to hear. But it was Chevalier, so perhaps this was the natural course of action, as he was a genius that is only born once a lifetime. Chevalier was someone with what [Name] had once compared to "divine foresight" (though Chevalier denied this, stating "I cannot see the future"). It did make him chuckle, though.
"But..." they began, voice still shaky from their earlier crying, "What if I'm not doing enough as the partner of a king... especially someone like you. You are... good at everything. And I still can't remember some of the laws Sariel tried to teach me when I first arrived."
They were pouting, and Chevalier found it cute. But it wasn't time for that, so he ignored the urge to poke one of [Name]'s cheeks.
His expression remained neutral, but there was an undertone of affection in his voice that they found comforting.
"Are you sure I'm going a good job, King Chevalier?"
They sounded so unsure, and Chevalier was reminded of moments in his childhood when he might have said something nicer to a certain brother of his, but that idiot was rather irritating about his endeavors, whereas his [Name] was trying their best to meet a standard that might as well be impossible to accomplish in the short time they had been here. They were pushing themselves against the best course of action for their personal health and well-being. A foolish decision.
"I am sure," Chevalier told them, "Do you doubt my words?"
While pointed, the question was not asked in anger.
"No..."
Their voice trailed off, and he couldn't help but find that endearing. [Name] might not trust themself, but they trusted his words, something he was thankful for (and also something that might be in their best interest going forward).
"Good."
He offered them a slight smile, as gentle as he could be. Awkward arms pulled them close to him, rubbing circles on their back, even though this was perhaps the second time he had done this in his life. He wondered if he was instantly "excelling" at this task as well or if this might be the rare occurrence in which he had to practice.
"You are here, not to be perfection incarnate in a matter of days, but to stand by my side as the one that I love," he continued, "You will be able to learn things you do not know. And I will take care of everything else until you are ready to carry it yourself."
Chevalier stated this as a fact, and that in and of itself was comforting. There was no room to question his words, and [Name] knew that even if they were to argue, he would have something to meet them with every single time. That was just how he was.
"If you say so," they told him, wiping the last of the tears from their eyes as they snuggled close to him, nuzzling against his neck.
His eyes were gentle in moments like these, without the coldness from when they first met. There was a sense of safety from being wrapped in the arms of someone who would tear apart the world for them if they asked. They knew that he would. They were someone who could make even the analytical second prince act based on emotion, for them and not some "greater good" or whathaveyou.
"I do," he confirmed, pressing a soft kiss to their temple.
They laughed, and Chevalier thought that the smile on their face was a much better expression for them than that tear-stained look of despair. He didn't say that, though.
[Name] pulled away just enough to look up at him. They smiled.
"You're better at this," they said, happy about it, "When we first met, I think you'd have just kept reading or told me to be quiet."
Chevalier thought about it for a moment. They were probably right. His old self might have said something, but it would not have been what he said today. He would tell them to stop crying and continue reading. They could figure it out on their own. That was what he might have thought. He knew it.
"You have a heart enough for the both of us," he chose to say, "Gives me enough practice to learn all the humanity I've missed in this life."
He watched as they laughed. Was what he said funny? To them, it might have been. In some sense of the word. They were a strange person, after all, but they were his and he loved them, learned to love because of them.
Chevalier kissed them, without a warning, causing the sentence they had begun only a single syllable of to go flying into the distance... never to be seen again. That didn't matter in this moment, though.
They needed to understand the depth of the emotions they gave him.

I don’t know about others but the only reason I put both is so that whichever someone clicks on, they will find my fic. So if there is supposed to be rules, I guarantee you that no writer knows these ones. We can barely get people to comment, you think we’re going to specifically choose & or / ? Hell no.
I’ve been in fandom for twenty years, and “/” means romance and “&” means no romance was literally one of the first things I learned. It dates back to Star Trek fanfiction of the 70s. I’m boggled by the fact that anyone who’s been reading fic on AO3 for more than like five minutes wouldn’t know that, and I’m curious as to what fanfic community you come out of.
I don’t think that tagging with both is actually going to get your fic in front of more readers. People looking for romance often exclude the “&” tag if there are too many gen fics tagged with both. People looking for gen often exclude the “/” tag if there are too many fics with both. So rather than putting your fic in front of twice the people, you are in fact more likely to get your target audience ignoring your fic because it has a tag they don’t want.
Also, by overtagging you are more likely to annoy potential readers away from your fic than entice them. A fic tagged both & and / better have both romance and a ton of platonic interaction between the two characters, like a slow burn romance friends-to-lovers arc. If it isn’t, I’m going to be very unhappy because the author lied to me with the tags to try and trick me into reading a fic with deceptive advertising.
When I’m in a fandom and see tagging where some of the tags don’t really apply and are just there to get it in front of more eyes, I’m going to assume one of two things. Either the author is a newb who doesn’t know anything, or the author is purposefully spamming the tags because they don’t care about lying to their potential audience and think that “spray and pray” is an effective tactic. In the first case, their writing probably will not be very good, so why bother reading their fic. In the second case, the fact that I can’t trust the tags to be accurate means I’m not going to read it to see if it’s interesting even if it has a tag I like. Chances are, that tag isn’t actually in the fic anyway, and even if it is, by spam-tagging the author is making the archive harder to use for everybody. Why would I reward bad behavior with attention? No. Far better to mute the author and move on.
More to the point--and no, I will never stop harping on this, because we have GOT to stop leaving our strongest points in the drawer--it doesn't matter if you heard of this convention before joining AO3 or not, because it's in AO3's tagging FAQ.
[id: the "How do I tag a romantic or platonic relationship?" section of the tagging FAQ here.]
"But Jo," you may argue, because you're wrong. "There's no way to find that without digging through site FAQ menus, and that's really inaccessible!"
sure
except
that when you go to post a new fic, and you go to put in those relationship tags, you see this
[id: the Relationships field]
and that tooltip, the one THERE TO EXPLAIN HOW THE FIELD WORKS, links to the Relationships segment of the tag FAQ, which explicitly lays this shit out.
I don't care if you don't know fandom history. I don't care if you've never heard a goddamn word about the spirk shippers. I don't care if you've never been exposed to fandom culture in your life. It is, frankly, not fair to expect those things of everyone.
What is entirely fair to expect is that you will READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PRINTED NEXT TO THE FUCKING BOX, actually. Forget fandom conventions. It genuinely doesn't matter whether you agree with or respect fandom conventions. This is a site policy. This is explicitly how tagging on AO3, specifically, works.

YouTube made AI enhancements to videos without telling users or asking permission. As AI quietly mediates our world, what happens to our sha
"It turns out, he wasn't. In recent months, YouTube has secretly used artificial intelligence (AI) to tweak people's videos without letting them know or asking permission. Wrinkles in shirts seem more defined. Skin is sharper in some places and smoother in others. Pay close attention to ears, and you may notice them warp. These changes are small, barely visible without a side-by-side comparison. Yet some disturbed YouTubers say it gives their content a subtle and unwelcome AI-generated feeling.
There's a larger trend at play. A growing share of reality is pre-processed by AI before it reaches us. Eventually, the question won't be whether you can tell the difference, but whether it's eroding our ties to the world around us."
1. What happened
YouTube admitted it’s been running AI processing on some Shorts — sharpening, denoising, smoothing — without asking permission. Creators noticed their own faces looked subtly “off,” like they were wearing AI makeup. And the altered version is what the audience sees.
2. Why this crosses a line
Ownership: Your video is your work. Your face is your image. When YouTube silently rewrites it, they are asserting that they—not you—own how you appear on their platform.
Trust: Creators like Rick Beato and Rhett Shull rely on authenticity. If the platform itself tampers with that, it erodes the bond between creator and audience.
Consent: On your phone, you can toggle filters. On YouTube, you aren’t asked. That’s the difference between a tool you control and a platform that controls you.
Reality creep: These changes seem tiny, but they normalize the idea that media is always pre-processed. Once you accept that, the very expectation of “realness” starts to vanish.
3. Why YouTube thinks they can do this
Most people won’t notice.
Those who do notice won’t leave; there’s no real competition at YouTube’s scale.
With bigger global crises, this feels too trivial to fight. They know apathy and exhaustion keep most people quiet.
4. The deeper problem
This isn’t about whether a shirt wrinkle looks sharper. It’s about power. YouTube doesn’t see itself as a neutral distributor of your work. It sees itself as the author of the experience, with full rights to “optimize” your content however it likes. Creators are just raw material. That’s why they didn’t ask: asking implies you could say no.
5. What can be done
Raise awareness. The only reason this surfaced was because creators with big audiences noticed. Keep amplifying it.
Demand control. A mandatory opt-out is the minimum. YouTube must not alter identity without consent.
Diversify. Explore Nebula, PeerTube, even Patreon-hosted video. Every bit of independence reduces monopoly leverage.
Frame the stakes. This isn’t “just a filter.” It’s a question of who owns your image, your work, your voice. If we concede that to the platform, we’ll lose the last trace of authenticity online.
6. The bottom line
Google once said “Don’t be evil.” Now the motto is closer to “Don’t get caught.” They’re not testing video quality — they’re testing how much tampering people will tolerate before they resist. And if there’s no resistance, the platform’s ownership over your reality becomes the default.
I’m not sure why, but I’ve seen a lot of YA authors that like to synonymize crying with weakness. Since the whole Strong Female Protagonist was misunderstood as Physically Strong Female Protagonist, crying became quite rare in fiction. I’ve only seen it happen in a handful of books.
So, I’m going to remind you that crying is an important part of living! Crying is what happens when your body feels so much of one emotion that it’s just bursting at the seams, and wants to let it out. Crying means your character can feel! Expressing feelings of happiness and joy aren’t bad, so it shouldn’t be the contrary for their opposites.
Negative Crying Connotations
Weakness: you only cry if you’re weak
Emotional Instability: only emotionally unstable people cry
Immaturity: only kids cry, so if you cry, you’re childish and immature
Femininity (or that it’s solely related to that, not that femininity itself is negative): women are weak, emotionally unstable and immature, so they cry. Men aren’t that, so they don’t
Things to Avoid
Denial: phrases like she swore to herself she wouldn’t cry or I’m not crying, there’s just something in my eye only enforce the stereotype that crying is bad or should be avoided. of course, in certain context they work, they just shouldn’t be used to devalue crying.
Gender Difference: don’t make it so that only female characters are susceptible to shedding tears, especially if you’re trying to prove that your male characters have an emotional range larger than a teaspoon. whether or not someone cries should depend on their personality.
Apologizing: if a character has cried, and is now finished, make sure they don’t apologize for crying (unless it’s part of an arc, or again, context). instead, try phrases such as okay, I’m good to go or alright, I’m feeling better now
Also, try having other characters say things like you feel better now? or are you feeling lighter? because we all know crying helps a lot
Avoidance: phrases like it won’t happen again, I promise are things you should generally avoid as well. This doesn’t enforce anything positive
Remember that crying is a good, healthy way to let out excess emotion and is by no means a bad reaction to an onslaught of emotions. Once more, remember that almost everything is contextual when applying advice to your writing.
I hope that, as a community, we can move forward and prove to the world crying isn’t as much of a liability to life than it’s represented as.
sometimes i dont have an active dislike of a ship (i mean. beyond the watering down of their characters to generic yaoi pairing) but then it becomes 97% of the content i see for those characters and its like. Ohhh. okay. i have to boil you
