friendly reminder to all fic readers out there

no matter where it is you read your fics from, if you like the fic, let the author know

whether it’s to leave a comment or to hit LIKE/KUDOS/FAVE, just let the author know

it’s not because authors are vain by nature and like the thought that people think they’re good

but because feedback like that convinces us and reminds us that the end product was WORTH ALL THE EFFORT WE PUT into constructing a plot, and agonizing over dialogue and making sure we get characterizations spot on, and trying to perfect our writing styles

coz just seeing that our fics get clicks isn’t enough - for all we know, people who clicked into our fic left after a few paragraphs. it’s like when store greeters count on a clicker how many people walk into the store, which of course isn’t equal to the people who actually buy something from the store. how do we know that our fic was good? how do we know if and how we need to improve? how do we know that we’re worth a lick as writers?

we’re not asking EVERYONE to like how and what we write, we’re asking those who DO end up liking our work to please, let the author know

it takes a lot of effort to write a good fic we think that our readers will like,and it doesn’t take a lot of effort for you readers to click LIKE/KUDOS/FAVE, but the joy we get both from writing and from knowing our fics were worth it ARE EQUAL

ATTENTION PET OWNERS

This post is going to rushed but I’m still shaking and it’s hard to type but I NEED people to know this

My mom just took my dog to the vet She(my dog) was(still is?) having a seizure

Last month we took my dog to the vet and they told us she had developed diabetes, they told us it was caused by the food she was eating, purina beneful. They told us that there have been many many many reports of Beneful has been causing diabetes, seizures, and even death in dogs.

We had no idea

We immediately switched her food and put her on a special diet plan for her diabetes, unfortunately the effects were already permeate.

Today at 11:20 my mom woke me up crying, I helped her carry my dog to the car (while she was still having a seizure) and watched her drive away red faced and still crying.

Please please PLEASE if you are feeding your pets Purina beneful PLEASE switch their food ASAP Beneful is poising dogs and I don’t want anyone else to experience what I just did Also if you could please help me signal boost this so everyone can know
