Devoted. Part 5.

Hi lovely and very patient people, this is the last instalment in the devoted series. I do want to apologise for the delay in this. A lot of crazy things ahve happened in my life which has taken priority over this.  We decided to give Taeyong’s wife a name to make it easier to write about. We hope you enjoy this.

Then finally you both were standing just metres away from a girl. Seoyeon leaned closer to you and said “yeah that’s her. That’s Miyoung. What do you think?” You were surprised that she asked that. That was definitely a question you weren’t expecting from her. You looked at her and she was tall with a slim figure. She had long light brown hair. She seemed like a decent person but you knew looks can be deceiving. You couldn’t help but notice the way she was practically throwing herself at the other men near to her. You looked at Seoyeon and said “I don’t know about her?” Seoyeon smiled and said “don’t worry I’ve got a good feeling about this. Trust me on this. I know Kun.” You knew she was an excellent judge of character. It was a trait you were still working on. Then she took you by surprise again asking “so you mind explaining all the heart eyes Jaehyun keeps throwing your way?” You were surprised and turned around to look and see that Jaehyun was looking your way. You quickly turned back and blushed. Seoyeon let out a laugh seeing your reaction. 

You then saw a familiar man coming your way. He lifted his finger to his mouth shushing you as he got closer. It was Taeyong. He was at the event as well. You were surprised as Seoyeon didn’t mention he’d been here. He wrapped his arms around her waist surprising her as he whispered something in her ear. You watched as her shocked expression turned into a smile hearing his voice. She turned around and he pulled her into his arms. She pulled away and asked “why are you here?” “Well you looked so stunning leaving the house I couldn’t just let all these other men enjoy seeing my wife.” She smiled at him and he looked at you saying “I’ll be stealing my wife now. Let’s dance.” Then he pulled her into the ball room. Just then you felt a tap on your shoulder and turned around to see Jaehyun standing near you he smiled at you and said “why don’t we dance as well?” You didn’t want to dance as it wasn’t really your strong suit but still you agreed and he took your hand leading you to the ballroom. —————— His hand was on your waist as he guided you through the dance. Your hand was on his shoulder and somehow being with him in that moment made nothing else matter. Being with him made dancing easier too somehow. Your body moved to the beat and everything was just perfect. You finally felt like a married couple. He leaned closer to you and said “I have something to tell you.” You looked at up him looking into his eyes and replied “what is it?” Your heart was beating so fast in your chest you thought you were going to have a heart attack. He spoke softly and said “you’ll see later tonight.” You rolled your eyes in annoyance. Just when you thought you were finally going to hear the words you had even dying for he had to delay it again. You rolled your eyes at him and said “ok.” He looked down at you with an amused look and said “you shouldn’t be rolling your eyes at me. Or I’ll have to punish you.” His words sent chills down your back and excitement started to form in your stomach. You decided to play along and replied “and how will you do that?” He looked down at you and the look in his eyes was dark with lust as he spoke saying “you’ll know it when you can’t walk tomorrow.” ———————— After hearing those words from him the rest of the evening was quite a blur. The silent auction and everything else didn’t matter. All you could focus on was Jaehyun and what he had said to you. You were getting so excited and nervous. The event has finished and you said your goodbyes to Seoyeon. You went and hugged her saying “it was so nice to see you again. I had a great time.” She smiled at you and said “it’s been great to see you too. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing each other soon at a wedding.” She winked at you. You smiled back saying “will you finally be showing your bump then?” “Maybe. You’ll have to wait and see god mother.” You and Jaehyun then bowed to both of them before exiting. You held onto his hand the whole time as you walked to the car. He opened the door for you and to say inside. He got into the driver side and started to drive. Sometime during the drive his hand had landed on your thigh where he lightly massaged it. You had to admit the way he was touching you there and then definitely made you more excited than anything. ————— Finally you had arrived at the house. He got out and opened the door for you and you got off. After that he held your hand and led you inside the house. He was being particularly nice and it was making your more suspicious. After entering the house he stood behind you and covered your eyes with his hands as he led you through the house. He was so so careful with you making sure that you didn’t hurt yourself anywhere on the way. You tried to figure out where he was taking you but your sense of direction wasn’t the best. Finally it seemed that he had stopped. From the sound your heels were making on the ground you knew that you and walked through the house and were now in the backyard. You thought hard but couldn’t think of the reason he would take you into the backyard. —————- When you opened your eyes you couldn’t believe the sight in front of you. It was stunning. The back garden was covered with twinkling lights and there were roses laid out in a heart shape. You were taken back but this that your mouth fell wide open. Before you couldn’t even process what had happened he had walked away and stood in the heart. He got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box. You couldn’t even believe what was happening. You could feel the tears forming in your eyes already. He cleared his throat loudly and spoke saying “I thought long and hard how I should do this and it took a long time. I’m sorry I had to make you wait so long but I needed this to be perfect for you. From the first time I saw you I knew you were the one for me. I was too afraid to tell Taeyong I wanted to marry you but I knew that eventually he would suggest you for me to marry. It was a long wait but for me you were worth it. When we got married. I was scared. I was afraid you wouldn’t accept my feelings so I hid them. I set rules from the start to stop myself from getting hurt but I realised that by doing that I didn’t only hurt myself I also hurt you. I hate myself for the way I’ve treated you and I honestly don’t deserve you.” Now tears were flooding out of your eyes. You couldn’t believe what he was saying. You walked down the stairs and stood right in front of him. He took his other hand and held yours. He pulled a ring out of the box he was holding and slowly slipped it on your finger as he said “I promise that with this new ring I will always protect you from any harm. I will always care for you. I will always respect you. And most importantly I will always love you.” There it was. The words you were waiting for. Now you were crying out so loudly. He smiled as he stood up and hugged you close. He patted your heart waiting for you to calm down. You managed to mumble out “I love you too Jaehyun.” You heard him laugh as he said “I know. You’re not very sly with your feelings.” You lightly hit his chest as he said that but his grip was too tight around you to move away. Then he let go of you and said “I really do love you a lot Y/N.” He bent down a little and wiped your tears. You pouted a little as you said “I really love you too.” He smirked at you and said “well pouting isn’t going to make me forget about your punishment.” He then picked you up and carried you to the bedroom. You knew from the way he was smirking at you that you wouldn’t be able to walk tomorrow but that didn’t matter anymore because now you were finally happy. Your life was perfect. Everything was the way it was supposed to be and you knew nothing could ever spoil your happiness how.

Devoted. Part 4

Hi everyone, this is the next instalment in the devoted series. This is the second to last part of this series! We decided to give Taeyong’s wife a name to make it easier to write about. We hope you enjoy this.

The next few weeks had been amazing. He was so attentive to you. He made sure you were never alone. He had arranged with Yuta that there are always several security at the house and at least 3 when you go out but you didn’t go out much. If you did it was usually just to see Seoyeon or do something with her and being with her meant you had a whole team of security. You felt more secure than anything.

Jaehyun would try to have more meals with you and come home every single night. There was even a day where he took the day off and you both just relaxed with each other. That was the first time he had let his guard down around you. It was after lunch when you were both sitting out looking at the garden. He was drinking some tea and he suddenly said “I heard Seoyeon told you about the marriage proposals I declined before.” You were taken by surprise and just said “yeah” in the softest voice possible.

He smiled and said “Taeyong can’t keep anything from her these days. And it seems like she can’t keep it from you.” You looked at him and decided to be brave saying “so would you like to explain?” He took a sip of his tea and looked at you saying “sure it isn’t much really.” You got excited. Was he finally going to confess his feelings. You started to feel butterflies in your stomach. You were excited to hear the words out of his mouth. 

“After Taeyong and Seoyeon got married. He decided I should marry as well. He found many girls within the mafia but they just didn’t seem right I guess. When I saw your photo I recognised you from one of the events I had attended. There was something about you that convinced me to agree I guess. That’s all.” You heart was beating so fast you thought it was going to explode at any minute now. Your cheeks were now red. You were over excited.

His confession was so meaningful to you. Although it wasn’t what you had expected from him it was enough to warm your heart. It was a confession that even made you believe that one day this man would say he loves you. You then smiled at him and said “okay cool.” He looked at you with an eyebrow raised and said “no questions?” You looked at him with a smirk and replied “are you saying there is something I need to ask?” He shook his head and you picked up your cup of tea to have a sip.

It had been a week since Jaehyun told you about why he married you. But from then on you woke up every single day with a smile on your face. You were overjoyed by his confession. It made you feel all happy and tingly.

Your eyes fluttered open as the sun hit your eyes. You opened your eyes and rubbed them slowly. You rolled over to the side to see Jaehyun still asleep next to you. He had his arm around your waist. You decided to take a shower leaving him alone in bed. But as soon as you tried to move his grip on you tightened. He pulled you closer to him and kissed your forehead saying “where are you going leaving me all alone in bed?”

You melted into his hold on you and replied “to shower.” He replied in a whiny voice saying “don’t go yet.” You hummed in response and just lay there. Suddenly you felt something poking your thigh. You were confused at first and then you clicked on what it was. You started to blush at your realisation which he noticed because this man noticed everything about you.

He held your chin lifting it so he could look deep into your eyes. He moved closer connecting your lips with his. His lips were soft and felt nice against your own. Your lips moved in unison until he puked apart with his lips looking pink and puffy. You admired the way he looked so handsome in the morning. You couldn’t believe a man like this existed and he was all yours.

He lay the box on the bed and said “wear this tonight it’s for you.” Then he went out to the door to Taeyong’s house you assumed.

You got out of bed and quickly opened the box. It was a black dress. It was a long dress that had two thing straps. It was beautiful. You held the dress up to your body and smiled knowing it was the perfect size. You then looked in the box again and found a necklace box. You opened it and there was a diamond necklace in it. You couldn’t help but smile at the gifts your husband bought.

You spent the whole day doing your hair and makeup. Mina helped you a lot as you wanted to look your best tonight. You wanted to look your best for him.

You had done light makeup and put the dress on. Your decided to ask Mina to curl your hair and leave it to the side. She helped you put on the necklace and just as she had finished in walking Jaehyun. He was already dressed in a black suit. He was wearing a white dress shirt underneath and left two buttons open. You couldn’t help but stare at how good this man looked right now.

Once he walked in the room Mina bowed at him and left. You stood up and he got closer and he wrapped his hands around your waist saying “you look so beautiful baby.” You couldn’t help but smile at the way he had just called you baby. He had never done that before. Before you could even react he was kissing you. He kissed you lightly as he didn’t want to mess up your makeup. He pulled away and held out his arm for you saying “shall we?” You took his hand and followed him to the car.

You arrived at the dinner and only noticed that it was only Taeyong’s inner circle there. It made you more curious as to what this could be about. You watched as Taeyong approached you both. As he walked closer you couldn’t but look him up and down. There was something different about him today. He looked really handsome to you. You quickly averted your eyes and bowed as he got closer. He smiled at you and said “I’m glad to see you’re feeling better.” You smiled back in response and asked “where’s Seoyeon?” Just then Jaehyun replied saying “there she is.”

You watched as Taeyong turned around and the way his eyes were glued to his wife as she walked down the staircase. She looked radiant. She was very a emerald green strapless dress. She was wearing a diamond and emerald necklace with matching earrings. There was even a machine bracelet on her wrist. She looked exquisite. You watched as Taeyong walked closer to her only to be cut off by Jaemin. He hugged her and said “you look so beautiful.” She laughed dryly in response and said “thank you Jaemin. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing your compliments. Sometimes I wonder if I walked down in sweatpants would you still see me as beautiful.” He looked lost in her words and just nodded.

She laughed again loudly before leaving the lovesick boy and going to her husband. Taeyong kissed her on the cheek and whispered something in her ear. You assumed it was compliments for the way she looked tonight.

She walked over to you and Jaehyun. She hugged you and you hugged her back. You pulled away saying “how is possible you get more beautiful each time I see you.” She laughed and said “you also look very lovely today Y/N. I’m guessing the dress is Jaehyuns pick.” You couldn’t believe she guessed that. You were left speechless by this woman. It seemed that she always knew everything somehow.

She then went in and hugged jaehyun. This time you didn’t feel any jealousy when he hugged her back. It was sweet to watch their interaction. She pulled away and he complimented her saying “you look so beautiful today Seoyeon.” She smiled and said “well you look very handsome Jaehyun. We even now?” They both laughed at some inside joke that you and Taeyong clearly had no idea about.

You mingled around with the other boys until dinner was served. It was a five course meal and you thought your stomach was going to explode before the 3rd course but you still tried your best to eat as much as you could.

At the last course which was a rich passionate and mango cheesecake Taeyong stood up and raised his wine class. He was going to make a speech. You were surprised by this gesture and it seemed that everyone else was as well.

He spoke saying “I’d like to thank everyone for being here tonight. I’d especially like to thank my beautiful wife for staying by my side through everything. I don’t know how you did but you seemed to make a better man out of me and I love you so much.” You watched the way she looked at him with tears in her eyes and a big smile on her face. He reached out his other hand and held onto hers as he said “we both have a special announcement to share.”

You were so curious now. You tried to think of what it could be but you were completely blank. He then said “I am so lucky that I get to be a father all because of this lovely women.” Your mouth fell wide open. You were so happy and excited. Jaehyun then stood up saying “let’s all raise a glass to the perfect couple and toast to our future boss.” All the other boys raised their glasses and joined the celebration. This was the first time you had seen most of them smile. They were very serious men but it seemed that they all had a soft side as well.

Once dessert was finished you went and hugged Seoyeon so tightly and said “I’m so happy for you omg. I’m so excited.” She smiled and still hugging you she said “I hope you’re ready to be a godmother. We both thought about it a lot and it was definitely going to be Jaehyun as the godfather. He is one of the closest people to us. It only seemed right if you were the godmother now.” You squeezed her even tighter and said “yes yes omg yeah. I would love to be a godmother.” After you said you realised that was a little louder than it should have been.

Taeyong came to you both and said “you can only be the godmother now if you let her go.” Then you realised how you practically squished her in excitement. You pulled away now and apologised but she just smiled and said “it’s okay I understand the excitement.”

You had to admit that was one of the most fun and exciting dinners you had ever been to in your life. A marriage that had started off terribly was one the best thing that had ever happened to you.

The following day all you could do was tell Jaehyun over and over again how excited you were to be a godmother. You were honestly so overjoyed. You had never in your life thought you would ever be asked to be a godmother. It was the best surprise of your life.

He looked at you and said “do you want your own baby?” You sort of answered without thinking saying “yeah one day.” He then said “why not now?” You were taken by surprise and you decided to push him into a wall and make him admit his love to you. You decided to do this by saying “I wouldn’t want to bring a child into a loveless marriage. I’m happy for Taeyong and Seoyeon because they love each other so I can’t even imagine how much they’ll love their baby.”

Jaehyun honestly looked hurt by your words and sadly your plan didn’t work.  He just said “yeah fair point.” Then walked away. You felt so bad. You couldn’t believe after everything you both had been through you would do something so incredibly stupid like this to make him admit his feelings for you.

The next few days with Jaehyun had definitely been awkward. You tried your best to talk to Jaehyun but that didn’t really happen. He was hurt and therefore he was distant.

At breakfast he said “there’s a charity event tonight. Jeno planned it. Be ready by 7 and wear something blue.” You nodded and then again he disappeared.

You looked through your closet trying to find something blue to wear and the only thing you managed to pull out was a blue strapless gown. It was just a normal blue shade. Not too light and not too dark. You tried it on and it clinged to your body like it was specially made for you. You smiled and went to do some subtle makeup to pair it up with a dramatic red lip. You went and put on the jewellery Jaehyun had previously given you.

You sat on the bed waiting as you managed to get ready half an hour too early but it was good because in walked Jaehyun. He looked at you and his jaw dropped on the floor. He smiled at you and said “wow you look so beautiful.” You blushed and said “I don’t look that great.” He walked closer to you and held your hands saying “don’t you ever say that again. You are stunning.” You thanked him and he leaned in placing a kiss on your cheek. This was the first time he had touched you since you hurt him.

You were happy that he touched you and soon he went to shower before coming out in a towel. This time you shared for a long time and admired the view. You looked at him as he dried his body and put on a navy blue suit paired with a dress shirt and a navy blue tie. He looked amazing and when he styled his hair up he looked a million times better.

Once he was ready he smiled at you and said “come on let’s go.” You stood up and walked to him. He took your hands and entwined it with his. He kissed your hand before finally walking with you to the car.

After so long he was back to normal. He was loving again. You wondered what had brought up this change. Maybe he realised that you were right or maybe something else. You tried not to worry too much about this.

You walked into the five star hotel that the charity function was in. It was a ball to raise money for a charity that fought against human trafficking. Although NCT was the biggest mafia group in Korea it always supported various charities. Well it was what public relations handled. They always tried to show NCT in a positive light.

You were greeted at the entrance by Yuta and Mark. Yuta smiled at you and said “wow another beautiful lady is here.” You smiled and bowed at him. You knew who the first one must have been. You couldn’t help but notice how these men would always fall to her feet.

Mark then greeted you and opened the door allowing you and Jaehyun inside. As you walked inside you eyes were wide in awe as you looked at the beautiful decorations. It was truly amazing how Jeno had pulled together such a lovely event.

Your eyes then stopped on a tall lady dressed in royal blue. It was a colour you knew Taeyong adored. You knew no one else would ever wear a colour his wife was wearing. No one else had the audacity too. You saw all different shades of blue but none were the same as Seoyeon.

This time she was wearing a strapless dress that was made from silk and had a lace material over the silk. It was beautiful it was tight till her waist and then puffed up which was perfect for hiding her small bump. You walked over to her and smiled when she saw you. She smiled back at you and you couldn’t help but notice the man who had his hand around her waist this time. It was Jeno. He looked dashing in his navy blue suit. You never really paid attention to him before as you didn’t see him much but now you knew that good looks definitely ran in that family.

He smiled at you as well and you couldn’t help but melt at the way his eyes turned into crescent moons. They both greeted you and Seoyeon commented saying “you both look incredibly stunning tonight.” You thanked her but said “oh no I should be saying that about the both of you. Wow just wow.” Jeno smiled at you and replied “oh I can’t take credit for that. It’s all Seoyeon making me look good.” You smiled at how modest he was being.

Jaehyun and Jeno then left you both as they needed to mingle around with the guests. You went over to the silent auction with Seoyeon to look at the piece that were there. You didn’t see a few men here tonight and asked “why aren’t they all here?” She looked at you and replied “events like this is when they need to either be working security or making deals. It’s why Taeyong isn’t here either but luckily I’ve got Jeno.” You nodded your head and realised that it was still the mafia. They had to do what they had to do.

She then held your hand and said “I talked to jaehyun about getting Kun married. I think he’s mature enough and ready for it. He’s such a sweet and lovely soul compared to the other boys here. Come let me show you his future wife.” She then dragged you through the crowd determined to show you Choi Miyoung.

The next time you opened your eyes you were in a basement. Your hands were tied tightly behind your back and your feet were tied together. You looked around and could see blood splattered all over the floor. You looked at your surroundings and saw a range of knives and other instruments that could be used to inflict harm. Then you heard footsteps coming closer towards you. You closed your eyes again as you didn’t want your captors to know you had woken up.

You heard the door open and the footsteps of two men entered the room you were in. You could hear a man say “did you use too much chloroform? She better not be dead.” The other man replied saying “NCT bitches don’t die that easily.” You knew this voice from before. It was the man who talked to Taeyong on the phone. His name was BamBam you believed. You then heard him say “don’t worry boss if she doesn’t wake up soon I’ll wake her up myself.” Then you heard the footsteps get softer as they left the room. The chloroform was still in your system and once again you found yourself falling asleep and losing your grasp on reality.

The next time you woke up there was a girl sitting on the chair next to you. She wasn’t tied up like you instead she was on her phone. She saw your eyes open and smiled saying “I’m Nayeon. I hear your name is Y/N.” You were surprised at the way she was being so friendly. You didn’t say anything and she continued to say “you must be surprised you’re here. You weren’t the original target. It was Seoyeon. But it’s hard to infiltrate Taeyong’s house so you’re the next best thing.”

You could barely speak as you were out of energy. She could see your dry lips and she stood up to bring you a glass of water. She gently helped you drink the water. She was nice or was she just acting. Once you had drank the water you looked at her and said “why?” She smiled and said “well for the drugs.” You knew who they were now. They were Got7. NCT’s biggest enemy.

She then said “I’m the leader Jinyoung's first wife. I was very much looking forward to meeting Seoyeon. I’ve heard so much about how elegant and beautiful she was. I’d love to wreck that face of hers.” Fear was now visible in your eyes. She saw this and replied “don’t worry. I have no problems with you. You’re actually cute. I see why you married Jung Jaehyun.” This girl seemed to know all about your life but that didn’t come as a surprise to you.

“So Y/N. Do you think your husband is going to come save you?” You looked at her and said “who knows?” She looked surprised and said “trouble in paradise I see. Well you can’t have a good marriage in the mafia. Just look me I’m one of his three wives. I’m the first so I get all the prestige and respect but in return I need to spend my days with those other wives too.” You had a look of concern and you replied “are you happy?” She looked at you and said “as happy as I can be I guess. You actually seem like a decent person. I hope for our sake Taeyong agrees to give up the drugs. Maybe I’ll see you around.” Then Nayeon left.

For a moment while you spoke with her things weren’t so bad. It was pleasant. But the reality was you were in a cold basement surrounded by blood and weapons that would be used on you at any moment now.

Your next visitor wasn’t a very pleasant one. It was Park Jinyoung. The man who was in charge of Got7. You had heard rumours about his affairs and wives. He was known to be a cruel man who would do anything to get what he wanted. He looked at your face and raised his hand to your chin saying “so pretty.” You felt disgusting under his touch and wanted to puke. You had heard what kind of man he was. His most successful business was prostitution. He was a man that treated women like a slave who should worship him. He was the type of man you hated the most.

He pulled away from you and said “I thought Taeyong would have agreed to giving me all the drugs in exchange for you but I guess you’re not that dear to him.” Your heart broke and tears started to fall out of your eyes. You thought Jaehyun would have done something. You had hope that they would come and save you but your hope was fading after hearing his words. He noticed your tears and said “don’t cry baby. Girls aren’t as pretty when they cry.” You felt sick hearing his words. He placed a finger on your forehead and lightly moved it down your body trailing over your nose, lips, neck and stopped just before your boobs.

He looked down at you smiling and said “I guess I’ll just need to show Taeyong a little video of you to change his mind. I’m sure your husband will try hard to convince his boss after that.” You didn’t know what he meant but you knew this wasn’t a man who you could ask questions. You watched him walk away from you before closing the door shut.

Once again you were left alone with your thoughts. No one was there to comfort you or assure you that you would be okay. You had lost hope in your husband. Everything just kept replaying in your head. The way he confessed that maybe someone like him could love. Or the fact Seoyeon told you that he had chosen to marry you.

You didn’t know what to believe anymore. You knew you were just an object to him. You didn’t mean anything. You knew you could have been replaced with another girl. Your heart broke the more you thought about it. You lost faith in everyone. You were now consumed by your own pain. This was the first time you felt a different kind of loneliness. You knew that you would be dying soon. Maybe the knowing that your life would end soon made it worse for you.

You looked at the ground as your tears fell on your thighs. The door opened again and in walked a man you didn’t recognise. There was something warm about him but all he did was take a cloth covered in chloroform and apply it to your mouth. Once again you lost your grip on reality.

The next time you woke up you were violently shaken. There was a video camera in front of you and Jinyoung standing next to you wearing a suit. You felt sick in your stomach thinking of how disgusting this was. He smiled at you and said “I hope you’re ready to send a video to your husband.” Then the man behind the camera said “ready.”

Jinyoung smiled and said “I thought you valued her life more Taeyong. She is your right hand mans wife.” Then there was silence. He went and picked up a knife and placed it against your throat. You could feel your throat closing up as the cold metal touched your skin. He saw you tense up and whispered in your ear saying “relax baby. I won’t hurt you. Yet.” The next you felt was something wet against your cheek. Jinyoung has stuck out his tongue and licked against your cheek. You felt disgusting. You felt like an object. You wish you could have just died there and then. He then pulled away saying “so sweet.” His words made you feel more sick. Then the man shut off the camera and congratulated his boss on the show he just did.

The two men walked away once again leaving you alone to feel disgusting in the basement. You looked down and wondered ‘will my blood be splattered across the floor like this too?’ You hadn’t eaten or drank anything so your body felt weak and gave up on you. Once again your eyelids felt heavy and you fell asleep.

The next time you woke up was the sound of gunshots. You couldn’t understand what was happening. You saw the door slam open and Nayeon ran inside. She pulled a knife from the rack. You thought she was going to kill you. But to your surprise she cut you loose saying “NCT is here. This is your chance. Leave Y/N.” Before you could even thank her she was gone. She had run out the way she came and vanished. You stood up slowly but felt weak.

You crawled over to the wall and stood up to brace yourself as you walked towards the door. You opened the door a little and peaked out. You couldn’t seen anyone yet so you felt safe. You walked out and decided to go right. You walked slowly and tried your best to stay standing. You didn’t know how much longer you could keep this going. You felt so weak. You felt like you were going to pass out. You felt like you were going to die.

You heard footsteps coming closer to you. You didn’t know who it was but you expected the worst. You gave up. You let your knees give in and fell to the ground. As the man got closer he spoke saying “Y/N?” His voice was familiar but you couldn’t place whose voice it was. Then you saw a tall figure standing in front of you. It was Johnny. You had never felt so happy to this man before in your life. He smiled at you a warm smile. He bent down and said “you’re safe now. I got you.” His words reassured you. He asked “can you stand up?” You tried but you couldn’t. He picked you up in his arms and said “I’ve got her but I need backup.” You heard Mark and Yuta reply and within seconds they were by you. The last thing you remembered was Johnny saying “keep your eyes open.” But you couldn’t. The world around you was getting dark and you let your eyes close.

You woke up again and this time you were in a van. You were still in Johnny’s arms but now you were wearing a jacket. He smiled seeing your eyes open and helped you drink water. After drinking you sighed and said “thank you.” He laughed and said “I’m just doing my job you don’t need to thank me. I’m just happy you're safe. I don’t know what the boss would have done to us if you weren’t.” You wanted to ask where Jaehyun was but the words wouldn’t come out of your mouth. But it seemed like he had caught on what you wanted to say and said to you “he’s at the boss’ house. He was too much of a mess to come along.” You didn’t know what he meant by that but we’re still took weak to ask questions.

The van stopped and the door opened. The light burnt your eyes and Johnny helped you walk out of the van. Your whole body weight was on him now. You felt arms wrap around you and it was Seoyeon. She hugged you tightly and helped you came inside. The moment you stepped through the doors you passed out again.

The next time you woke up you were in a bedroom. It wasn’t your bedroom. There were needles in your arms and you sat up. You saw Seoyeon with her head down on the bed you were in. You moved a little too much and she woke up. You couldn’t believe that she looked so good even after sleeping with her head down. She was really something.

She smiled at you and said “how are you feeling?” You weakly replied “better and safe.” She smiled and said “let me get Jaehyun. He was here before. He stayed through the whole night with you waiting. Something must have come up for him to go.”

You watched as she left the room. You lay back down and relaxed into the bed. The next person to walk in was Ara. She brought a tray of food in. Then in walked your husband. He dismissed Ara and sat on the chair next to you. You looked at his face and he looked pale. His eyes were dark and the bags were big.

He looked at you and smiled weakly saying “let me feed you.” He then helped you sit up and slowly began to feed you the food. He didn’t speak much and neither did you. You didn’t know what to say. You didn’t know what to do. Once you had finished eating he finally said “I’m sorry it took so long to rescue you. We tried our best to find you quickly.” You replied softly saying “it’s okay.” Then you looked at him and he had tears rolling down his face. You never thought your husband was the type of man to cry. Especially in front of you. You reached out and held his hand to which he bought to his lips and kissed.

He took a deep breath and said “this is all my fault. I shouldn’t have taken you home. I shouldn’t have left you alone. I should have stayed with you when you asked me.” “No don’t you dare blame yourself. You didn’t know this would happen. You thought I’d be safe there. You can’t blame yourself. I’m sure you’re one of the reasons why I was saved. Please don’t blame yourself.” He stood up from the chair and lay down on the bed next to you saying “I’m sorry for leaving you alone.” “It’s okay. I’m just happy you’re here now.” He wrapped his arms around you and you found yourself slowly falling asleep on his chest listening to his heartbeat.

You woke up in the morning when you heard the birds chirping. Your eyes fluttered open and you realised that everything that happened wasn’t just a bad dream. It was something that happened. You looked to the side and saw your husband peacefully sleeping next to you. You felt safe knowing that he was there to protect you now. You looked at him a bit longer. Until he finally spoke saying “are you still looking or can I open my eyes now?” You blushed heavily and looked away. You tried to move away from him but his grip was tight.

The door then swung open and in walked Seoyeon and Taeyong. She quickly apologised saying “oh my. We are so sorry. We just wanted to check up on you and bring you a change of clothes. I thought I’d help you get changed but I see Jaehyun can help you. We’ll see you both a breakfast soon.” Then they both left as quickly as they arrived. You couldn’t be more embarrassed.

Jaehyun smiled and said “well you heard the boss. Let’s get you changed for breakfast.” He stood up and helped you to the bathroom while you washed up. He then helped you take off the clothes you had been wearing and put on the dress Seoyeon had bought for you. It was a white dress that had lace. You looked at yourself in the mirror and smiled seeing how nice you looked. Jaehyun then went to get changed himself. You sat on the bed and put on a little makeup.

When you finished with your makeup he was already dressed in a new suit. He put his hands on your shoulders and said “you look beautiful. Let’s go.” He wrapped one hand around your waist to support you as you walked. You both arrived at the dining room to see the table filled with food and the men who had rescued you. You tried to bow at them but they quickly said “no don’t do that.” You smiled and sat down. Johnny smiled at you and said “I’m glad to see you’re looking better.” “Thank you so much for everything.” He smiled at you to which Yuta interrupted “I helped too.” You laughed and said “yes thank you as well.” The next comment surprised you. It was Taeyong saying “if you’re thanking people I should be first. I did order them to save or come back dead.” You saw Seoyeon roll her eyes and say “and who was the person that told you save her or they’d kill you.” He was suddenly quiet and you couldn’t help but laugh.

Seoyeon looked at you and said “we’re all really glad you’re safe and you don’t need to thank us because we all know how thankful you really are Y/N. Now let’s eat.” You began to eat. The breakfast was nice and your husband was being all sweet getting the food for you and feeding you as well any chance he got.

Then the door swung open and you saw Jaemin walk in. He ran to you and hugged you saying “I was so worried. My brother was so depressed. I’m so happy you’re safe.” You were taken back by your brother in laws tight hug but you still hugged him back and patted his back trying to assure him. He pulled away and said “when we’re alone I’ll tell you what he did.” He had a mischievous look on his face and Jaehyun looked like he was ready to hit him.

You watched at Jaemin walked over to his most favourite person and hugged Seoyeon. It was a bit longer than it should have been as you saw Taeyong pulling her from him. He smiled at her and said “even though I didn’t hug you first today you’re still my number one.” You watched as all the other boys rolled their eyes at his cheesy comment and Taeyong said “you must hate being alive.” The room was then filled with laughter.

In that moment you felt at peace. You felt safe and you happy. Everything was perfect. It was exactly the way it was supposed to be.

Devoted. Part 2

Hi everyone, so this is the second part to our Jaehyun scenario. I was happy to see all the love the previous part was getting and I hope that you all will love this one just as much. I hope you like this part as much as I liked writing it. We decided to give Taeyong’s wife a name to make it easier to write about. We hope you enjoy this.

It had been a week since you last saw your husband. It’s not that you had missed him but it was the loneliness consuming you. You had spent the last week doing the same things every single day. You had expected this day to be another typical day but that wasn’t the case.

You got out of bed and showered. These days you started having breakfast in your bedroom considering there was no one else in the house to eat with. Jaemin was home sometimes but that was barely ever. Your mother in law was always travelling so you didn’t see her after your wedding either.

After eating you felt like taking a walk in the garden but you didn’t feel like going alone so you asked Mina to accompany you. You headed down the stairs and were greeted by a group of men. You looked around and they were all the men that were part of Taeyongs inner circle. You could see your husband sitting next to him. He looked so good in the black suit he was wearing with a white dress shirt and two buttons open. You could feel your mouth watering.

You bowed at the men to which some of them bowed back but your husband didn’t even look up to see your face. Your heart aches seeing as he didn’t acknowledge your existence but then you saw Taeyong stand up and walk towards you. You could feel his cold and powerful aura as he got closer. He stood in front of you and said “I hope you’ve been well Y/N.” You smiled and replied “yes very well thank you.” They were all lies but you couldn’t tell this man the truth. He looked at you and replied “my wife has requested that you join us for dinner one day. She seems to like you very much.” You smiled and replied “I would love too. She’s very lovely.” Then he smiled at you. This was something you didn’t think would happen. He was very different to the first time you had met him. He then said “she’ll send a car for you tonight. We’ll both see you then.” 

You then bowed before he walked away. You quickly walked away into the kitchen and leaned against the wall holding your breath. Jaehyun soon walked in and said “so dinner tonight?”You looked at him with a confused look and he said “did you really think you’d be going to dinner there without me?” You decided to be honest and say “yes?” He laughed and said “well I hope you’re not disappointed that I’ll be joining you.  Be ready by 6 we’ll leave then.” Then he smiled at you and you felt weak in the knees. You watched as he disappeared into the living room to sit with his friends again.

You decided to be a little nosy and listen to what they were talking about. You couldn’t understand much you did hear Jaemin saying“let me come to dinner tonight too boss. I’d love to see Seoyeon again.” Then you heard Taeyong just replied “you should come if you want Seoyeon to start match making and find a wife for you.” Jaemin took back what he said and replied “I’ve suddenly remembered plans that I have tonight.” The rest of the boys laughed.

You thought to yourself that even though they’re all big scary mafia guys they were still like a group of high school boys.

You headed out for your walk. It was a nice walk. The garden at his house was full of beautiful flowers and everything was maintained so well. You smiled looking at the different types of flora and the sculptures that were in the garden. As you walked more into the garden you found a waterfall. You couldn’t believe that this man was rich enough to get a waterfall made in his garden. It was truly a beautiful sight.

You walked back to the house and had picked some flowers on our way back. You had decided to make a bouquet to give to Seoyeon. You thought it was the least you could have done for everything she had done for you.

You went to the kitchen and requested that Mina bring you all the ribbons and things you need for a bouquet. You must have made at least 3 before you decided it was perfect. You wanted to give the best possible bouquet to her. You looked at the final product and smiled at yourself.

Just then jaehyun walked in and smiled at you. He looked at the bouquet you were holding in your hands. He raised an eyebrow and said “for Seoyeon?” You nodded and he said “she likes roses. Especially red roses.” You raised your eyebrow and said “how do you know?” He replied coolly saying “Taeyong always buys her roses.” That sounds like reasonable reason you thought to yourself.

He then took your hand and said “we should get ready for dinner.” You held tightly onto his hand as you both walked to your bedroom. He didn’t say anything on the way but his hand was soft and felt warm. You walked into the wardrobe and asked him “what should I wear?” “Anything. You look good in everything you wear.” You blushed at the sudden confession from him and didn’t know how to react. You decided to be cool and just say “that’s not very helpful.”

He then came closer and stood behind you as he looked through the clothes you had. He pulled out a dark purple dress you had. It was a simple dress that went just below your knees. He held it and said try this on. Without thinking you just slipped off the dress you were wearing and tried on the new dress. The whole time jaehyun couldn’t keep his eyes off you. His hot gaze was burning against your skin. When you finally put the dress on. He swallowed saying “I didn’t think you’d take it off like that in front of me.” Then you realised what you had done.

You blushed heavily and turned around facing away from him. He stood behind you and pulled you close to him. He turned you around and kissed you. His kiss was hot and passionate. His hands cupped your boobs on top of the dress as he pulled away from your lips and placed kisses down your neck. He then pushed you against the nearest wall and got on his knees. He lifted your dress up and placed it in your hands. He pulled down your panties in one swift move and ran a finger down your slit.“You’re so wet already.”

You looked a bit longer than you should have but the look on his showed you that he enjoyed you looking. He finally broke the silence saying “take a picture. It’ll last longer.”

You quickly turned your head and avoided him. There was something different in his voice when he said that to you. It wasn’t playful or teasing. It was a bit mean. You shook your head trying to get the thought out of your head you just thought you were overthinking it.

He got dressed and stood by the door waiting for you. You both walked to the front of the house where a car was waiting for you. The driver opens the back door and you got it. Jaehyun then closed the door and sat in the front with the driver. Now it seemed that something was wrong but you couldn’t figure out what could have happened while he was in the shower. The whole ride to dinner your thoughts were driving you crazy.

Once you arrived at the house the maid Ara had taken you to the informal lounge. The place where you had first seen Jaehyun. It bought back a lot of memories.

Soon doors opened and in walked in Seoyeon. She smiled at you and said “no Jaehyun?” You looked around and finally noticed your husband was nowhere to be seen. Ara then said “he’s in the study Madam.” She nodded and then Ara left the room. She sighed and sat opposite you on the other couch.

“Let me guess. Marriage life isn't as great as you expected?” You were taken back by her question but just nodded in response. She then continued saying “he’s been staying here the whole week. I’ve tried kicking him out the minute he got here but he didn’t leave until Taeyong told him too which I made him do. These boys are so annoying right?” You nodded once again. You always wondered where Jaehyun was. You did assume he was here and now it was confirmed. You finally spoke saying “why was he here?” “Honestly probably avoiding you. That’s how he acts. He runs away from problems he can’t fix.” You were taken back by her honestly. What could she have meant.

Tears started to form in your eyes and she handed you a tissue saying “don’t cry. You need to be strong if you want your husband to accept your feelings and confess his own.” You looked at her confused again and said “what do you mean?” “I have a slight suspicion Mr Jung has developed feelings for you.” You stared at her with your mouth wide open and she said “it took a lot of investigating but it seemed that Taeyong had tried to get him to marry a few other girls before but he declined each and every time until it was you.” You couldn’t believe your ears. Did Jaehyun choose you?

She continued to say “these men have trouble accepting feelings once it comes to love. You can’t even imagine what Taeyong put me through before he told me he loves me. There was so many times I wanted to give up but I stuck around and he gave in. Stay strong Y/N. Jaehyun will give in. I know he will.” For the first time you saw Seoyeon in a different light. You didn’t have any jealousy against her anymore. You cared for her now. You saw that from the start all she did was care about you. This was the first time in so long that you felt like there was someone looking out for you.

A part of you broke down. You started to cry. The tears just poured out of you. You started to tell her about how you felt so lonely the week he was away and how he started acting all cold and distant to you. She moved and sat next to you rubbing your back saying “let’s get it all out before they get here.” You cried so much that you hadn’t thought you had that many tears. Once you were calm she looked at you and said “feeling better?” You nodded and she took a tissue and fixed some of your makeup.

A few moments later the boys had joined. You couldn’t help but notice the smile on Taeyongs face when he saw his wife. She was wearing a royal blue dress and he couldn’t move his eyes away from her. She stood up and greeted him to which he kissed her on the cheek. You could literally see the love pouring out of him. You couldn’t believe that cold heartless man you met before your wedding had turned into a lovesick husband.

You bowed and greeted taeyong to which he smiled. He then wrapped his hand around his wife’s waist and said “let’s go to the dining room. Dinner is ready.” You watched as they led the way to the dining room. Your husband stood next to you and said “it’s weird seeing him like this. It’s a complete opposite to how he was in his study just 5 minutes ago.” You looked at him and said “well loves changes people.” He nodded and said “if a man like him fell in love then I guess there’s hope for all of us.” You didn’t know what he meant by that and decided not to question it. Instead you felt a hand on your waist and your husband say “let’s go to dinner. I’m hungry.”

Dinner was pleasant. There wasn’t much conversation but it was still nice. The highlight for you was definitely the food. The conversation was mostly mafia business that you didn’t understand much of. Suddenly the door opened and in walked in Lucas. He was tall with broad shoulders and a innocent smile but you couldn’t help but notice the blood on his hands. He went to taeyong and whispered something in his ear to which Taeyong said “are you hurt?” This caused Seoyeon to stand and examine the tall man. She then called out to Ara for the first aid kit.

By this point Taeyong had left to his study and jaehyun followed. Seoyeon was tending to Lucas’ wound and you sat there confused if you should keep eating or stop. She looked at you and said “keep eating. This isn’t even one of the worse injuries I’ve seen. Believe it or not once Johnny came in with a deep cut down his back. Stitching that up with painful and hard.” Somehow all the blood made you lose your appetite.

Once she finished she looked at the tall man and said “now explain what happened.” He took a long sigh  before saying “it was Jinyoung. He’s determined to steal the drugs from us.  Everything is just chaotic right now. There was a break in at the warehouse and a lot of there men were killed and I was the only one out of the inner circle that got injured. He’s going to try something else. He’s going to come for you. Your Taeyongs weakness.” She stood up and said “Lucas eat. I’ll be back soon.” She then disappeared too.

You looked at Lucas was had already began eating. He noticed your gaze and said “Y/N right?” You nodded and he said “don’t worry it’s safe here. You’ll be safe as long as you’re at this house. Don’t worry. We’ll keep you safe.” You smiled at him before excusing yourself to find Seoyeon. You looked around before going up the stairs.

You found a door open and voices coming from inside. You could hear Taeyong and Jaehyun. You were going to walk past and look for Seoyeon until you saw Jaehyun walk out. He looked stressed and you asked “are you okay?” He looked angry as he replied “do I look okay to you?” “No I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry.” He rolled his eyes and said “seriously. You’re being so annoying. You shouldn’t be upstairs anyway.” You didn’t understand why he was snapping at you. You felt a pain in your chest. You wanted to speak but you couldn’t. Instead tears started streaming down your face. He saw those tears and just walked away from you leaving you alone in the corridor. You knew he was busy and stressed but you meant no harm to him. You were just being concerned. Your knees gave up on you and you fell to the ground crying.

After what seemed like forever he came back and instead of talking he grabbed your wrist and stood you up. He then held onto your wrist tightly as he pulled you down the stairs and into a car. He didn’t say anything instead he was driving. The drive back to his house was long and quiet. Once at the house. He took your hand and pulled you inside the house. Once the doors were closed he let you go.

You looked at him with tears in your eyes and said “why are you being so cruel?” He snapped back saying “I don’t have time for this right now. You need to stay in the house. You’ll be safe here. I need to handles things with Taeyong.” You then held his hand and said “don’t leave me alone. I’m scared.” He looked at you in the most pathetic way and he said “stop being so clingy. You are my wife just because I need an heir. Nothing else. Don’t act like we’re in love or something. I could never love someone like you.” He pulled your hand off his and left out the front door slamming it shut.

You fell to the ground crying. You cried and cried against the cold floor of the foyer. You finally gained the courage to pick yourself up and go to the bedroom. Once you closed your bedroom you felt like you heard the main door close. You knew jaehyun wouldn’t be back this early. You knew something was wrong. You had a gut feeling something happened. You called jaehyun but he didn’t answer. 

In your panic state you went into the walk in wardrobe and hid behind the clothes. You pulled out your phone again and called Seoyeon. She answered instantly and you said “I think someone’s in the house.” She replied saying “where are you?” “In the wardrobe.” “Stay there and stay quiet.” You could hear the sound of her running. Once the door was opened oh could hear her say “jaehyun someone is in your house.” You heard Taeyong say “Johnny, winwin, Yuta go to his house now.” The boys left instantly and taeyong took the phone from her. He held the phone to his head and said “Y/N listen closely to me. I need you to leave the phone on call and hide it in your bra. If something happens we can track you this way.” You said “okay” before doing what you were told.

You heard the bedroom door open and two men walk in. You heard them messing your whole bedroom as one of the men said “where’s that bitch?” You froze and covered your mouth. The next time you heard was the wardrobe open. You could see the footsteps of one of the men walking closer to you. You tried your best to stay still and not make any noise. He seemed to have left after inspecting the wardrobe and found nothing. You relaxed but that was short lived.

The next thing you heard was a phone ring. One of the men spoke but it wasn’t clear. The next thing you heard was “she’s in the house. She called NCT. We need to find her.” This time another man walked into the closet. He was looking through all the clothes and he found you. He looked at you with a evil smile and pulled you up. He said “well aren’t you good at hide and seek.” You didn’t speak. He then reached into your bra and said “well well I see you’re talking to Taeyong’s bitch.” You heard Taeyong reply “leave her alone unless you want to die BamBam.” He smiled at you before he threw your phone on the ground and smashed it. He held your wrist tightly as he dragged you out of your bedroom and down the stairs. He was merciless.

He pulled your body down the stairs in the most violent way he could. He then pushed you into the van they were in before he tied your hands and feet tight that you felt like your blood would stop flowing. He covered your eyes. And covered your mouth with chloroform making sure you wouldn’t wake up.

You had woken up this morning just like any other morning. You got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to wash up. You had usually eaten your breakfast in you bedroom at the table. By the time you would get out of the shower it would already be set up by your maid Mina. But today was different. You got out of the shower and were greeted by your maid informing you that today your parents wanted to have breakfast together. You nodded before walking into your wardrobe and picking some appropriate clothing. You settled on a black skirt that was just above your knees and a white blouse. You pulled out some heels and did your makeup before heading downstairs.

You went downstairs and were greeted by your parents at the table filled with food. You bowed at them before sitting down in your usual seat. The seats at your dining room tables belonged to different people and you always had to sit in your one despite how many people were dining. Once you had sat down your dad said “Y/N sweetheart please come sit closer to me.” The way his tone was filled with affection frightened you. Your dad was a loving but cold man. You knew he loved you but he never did show you much love. Your mother on the other hand was too busy keeping up with the other mafia wives to do anything else.

You got up and moved closer to your father. You all ate until he suddenly stopped and said to you “I had a meeting with Taeyong yesterday.” His name sent shivers down your back. He was the cold, cruel and bitter mafia boss. His father had passed away recently leaving him in charge of NCT. You had remembered going to his wedding. It was such a grand affair. You noticed how every little detail was made to be perfect. It was definitely what you would have called a fairytale wedding but his life was far from a fairytale. A part of you felt sorry for his wife as you had heard rumours about what kind of man he was.

Your father continued to speak saying “he had decided that you will marry his right hand man Jaehyun.” Suddenly the fork you were holding slipped out of your hand and fell onto the plate. You didn’t say anything but the look on your face said a thousand words. Your father took your hands and said “I know this is unexpected but this is how it is. He is one of the most respected men in the mafia sweetheart. This is the best marriage proposal we could get.” You were still shocked and to make matters worse your mother chimed in saying “you are going to meet him after breakfast. The driver will take you to Taeyong’s mansion.” 

At that moment all you could do was nod in your head in silence. You tried to eat a little bit more from your plate but your appetite was now gone. All you felt was anxiety and nervousness. Your dad was soon finished and he stood up and kissed your forehead saying “I believe in you. It will be okay.” Then he was gone. You appreciate his effort knowing what kind of man he was. Your mother on the other hand was happy and proud. She could go and tell her friends about how her daughter was going to marry one of the most powerful and loyal people in the mafia.

You grabbed your coat before heading out the the car. The driver opened the door for you and you sat in the back. You were fiddling with your hands and shaking. Your anxiety had gotten the best of you. You had never been to his house before causing your nerves to sky rocket. You didn’t know what kind of house it would be. Your closed your eyes and tried to relax yourself. The last thing you wanted to do with shake while you spoke with the most feared man in the mafia. Suddenly your driver stopped the car and informed you that you had arrived at the destination. You opened your eyes and saw a mansion in front of you. The house you lived in which was considered of the best was nothing compared to the house that was in front of you.

He opened the door and you stepped out. You were greeted by a maid named Ara who smiled at you and bowed leading you inside. You followed her into the informal lounge and sat down on one of the couches. Before you had a chance to even breathe properly the door opened. You were scared. You couldn’t even look up. You then heard Ara say “Madam, is there something I can help you with?” Your eyes shot up and you felt relieved it wasn’t Taeyong. You looked at the lady standing in front of you. She looked tall and you looked down to see she was wearing very high white pumps as you slowly scanned her body looking up you noticed she was wearing a white skirt and a pink floral blouse. She looked beautiful and full of life. You looked at her face and were stunned by her beauty. You had heard rumours of how beautiful Taeyongs wife was but those rumours didn’t do her justice. You knew why she was chosen to be his wife.

She flashed you a smile that was genuine and bowed. You quickly stood up and bowed at her. She walked over to you and sat down next to you saying “I’m Seoyeon. Nice to meet you.” You felt relaxed as you said “I’m Y/N, it’s nice to meet you Seoyeon.” She smiled at you and said “I heard about your marriage to Jaehyun. How are you feeling?” You let out a long sigh and said “I’ve only known for 2 hours I don’t know how to feel.” She put a hand on your shoulder as she said “I remember the first time I found out. I cried for a week. I didn’t want to get married but like you I didn’t have a say in the matter.” You looked at her and whispered “does it get better?” She looked at you with hope in her eyes as she replied “I hope so but Jaehyun is different compared to Taeyong. He’s a sweet and nice man despite what everyone thinks of him.” You didn’t know Seoyeon for long but somehow her words had comforted you. She held your hand tightly and said “I’ll be here to support you Y/N. When they come in, try not to talk unless you’re spoken to and get a good look at Jaehyun. It’s a face you’ll have to look at for the rest of your life.” She smiled brightly at you.

The door then swung open and in walked two tall figures. You were a bit confused as you didn’t know who was who. You bowed at them to which the black haired man said “you may sit.” His voice was cold and emotionless. You couldn’t help but notice Seoyeon’s response to him. She looked annoyed just by the sound of his voice. She leaned closer and said “Jaehyun is the one with the dark brown hair.” You looked up and saw his face. You were stunned by how beautiful his features were. He looked wonderful with his hair styled up. He looked like a prince you thought to yourself. Your couldn’t believe how good looking he was.

Then you clicked. He was the man that all the girls wanted. He was one of the best looking men in the mafia. He was rich and close with the boss. He was a dream husband. Suddenly you started to feel insecure. You didn’t think you could measure up to all the other girls in the mafia. Sitting next to Seoyeon made you feel more insecure. You didn’t know how you could measure up to her. She seemed to proper and beautiful. As you looked at him you couldn’t help but notice the way he smiled at Seoyeon. He smiled at her and his smile made you melt. The way his dimples shined made your heart melt. You looked as she smiled back at him. They maintained eye contact for a few seconds and you started to feel something bubbling in your tummy. It was jealousy. You were jealous over a man who wasn’t even yours yet.

Then Taeyong cleared his throat and spoke saying “Y/N I’m sure your father has informed you of your marriage. I would like the wedding to happen by the end of next month. My wife has decided to plan the wedding. I hope you are happy with the decision I have made.” The way he spoke made you feel little infront of him. You felt scared. Suddenly you heard Seoyeon say “nod now.” You did as she said and nodded to which he replied “excellent. We’ll be leaving now.” And just like that the mafia boss and your future husband left.

Then in a months time you were getting married. You stood in front of a large mirror looking at your wedding dress. You smiled as you looked at yourself in the mirror. Out of all the things at your wedding you didn’t get a say. Seoyeon didn’t get much of a say as her mother in law instructed her of how a wedding in NCT should be. It was another grand affair. The theme was white and silver. It was over the top but it looked elegant. You were happy with what Seoyeon had done despite her limited say. Even though you weren’t sure, you had heard that she had tried hard to make sure that you had gotten the dress of your choice.

You felt relieved to have someone like that in your life but you couldn’t help but obsess over the way she and jaehyun looked at each other. You didn’t know if that stare meant more. Then the door opened and in walked Seoyeon. She was a wearing a dark red strapless dress with her hair swept to the side. She was wearing ruby earrings and necklace. Just looking at how stunning it was you knew it must have been a gift from Taeyong. She walked in smiling and you couldn’t help but feel insecure at how beautiful she looked. She gave you a hug and smiled saying “you look so beautiful.” You smiled and bowed lightly saying “thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us. I really appreciate it. Especially with the dress.” She smiled and said “well I didn’t have any say in my own wedding so I wanted to make sure that you got to pick out something at least. It is your special day.” You smiled at her until your mother walked in.

You rolled your eyes at the way your mother was practically worshipping her. Seoyeon looked so uncomfortable but still smiled as she tried to be polite. She soon left as the ceremony was starting. You stood behind the two big doors. Your dad was next to you and you wrapped your arm around his. He leaned closer and said “ready sweetheart?” You nodded and then the door opened. You looked at the decorations that covered the room and then your eyes landed on Seoyeon and Taeyong. You saw how she was smiling and then you couldn’t help but notice the way that Taeyong had his arm wrapped around her waist as he smiled. You were surprised. You didn’t think it was possible for this man to smile as much as he was.

Then finally your eyes landed on the man you were going to marry. He was dressed in a black suit with a white dress shirt and a black bow tie. Good was an understatement to how amazing he looked in that moment. You averted your gaze as he watched you walked down the aisle. When you were finally standing in front of him holding his hand you started to panic until he leaned close to you and said “relax. I’m here.” Those three words made all your nerves go away.

The rest of your wedding and reception was a blur to you. You had met so many different people and greeted so many people. You were nervous and scared by how many people were meeting you. Now you were one the wife of one of the most important people in NCT and everyone wanted to be on your good side. Finally the familiar face of Seoyeon and Taeyong came to greet you. She hugged you and you were taken back by her actions but you still hugged her back. She whispered saying “you were great.” Somehow her words made you feel better and you finally smiled a true smile but that was short lived as you saw her hug Jaehyun. He had a big smile on his face when she did and he whispered something which caused her to lightly hit him on his chest. You couldn’t help but wonder what it was.

Taeyong then said to you “I hope you liked the wedding Seoyeon planned.” You smiled and nodded saying “yes thank you very much for all of this.” He nodded before wrapping his hand around his wife’s waist and saying “well we need to go make the rounds now.” Then they vanished in the crowd mingling with other people. After that you met the close group of friends that Jaehyun had but you were zoned out as you knew what was expected of your wedding night.

Then you were finally in Jaehyun’s bedroom. You stood awkwardly by the door while he was slowly taking his clothes off. He looked at you and said “the maid has put all your things in the wardrobe. I’m going to go shower first.” Then he disappeared. You slowly went and slipped off your wedding dress and walked around the wardrobe half naked only in our underwear as you tried to find a night dress. You hadn’t realised jaehyun was done showering until you heard him say “your clothes are on the other side.” You turned around and blushed seeing him only in a towel around his waist. You looked away and quickly grabbed something before hurrying to the bathroom.

You showered quickly as you didn’t want to make a man like that wait for you. You dried your body and put on your night dress before stepping out. He was sitting on the bed and you sat on the other side avoiding his gaze. There was an awkward silence in the air. He then spoke saying “Y/N I want to make some things clear before we continue. I married you because Taeyong told me and that is the only reason. You can’t expect me to love you but I will take care of you.” You felt a sudden pain in your chest at his confession and just softly replied “okay.” He then cleared his throat and said “I’m sure you know that we need to do. It’s a tradition. Not one that I’m fond of but my mother and Taeyongs mother with a few other ladies will check in the morning.” You wanted to puke just thinking about the sick tradition he was mentioning.

You then nodded and he leaned over to you and kissed you on the lips. His lips were soft and his kiss was too. His hands found themselves at your waist tugging on your night dress. His kiss got more intense and soon his hands had made its way up to your boobs where he smirked and said “no bra?” You blushed at his words and said “it’s uncomfortable to sleep with.” He then got you to stand up where he took off your night dress and his own Tshirt too. Once you showered jaehyun was still in the room on his phone replying to emails it seemed. You walked into the wardrobe and pulled out a sundress. It was a light green colour and slipped it on before going out to see him.

He saw you walk out and smiled at you saying “let’s go have breakfast together.” The way he said together made your heart skip a beat. You thought about he way he had said together as you walked down to the dining room. As you walked you couldn’t help but admire the way his house was. It was very classy and elegant. There was minimal decoration but everything seemed to gel well with each other.

You sat down at the table at the place where plates had been set up for you. You sat down and ate your breakfast in silence until jaehyun said “let’s eat breakfast together every morning.” You smiled and nodded. Your smile didn’t last long as you had once again remembered his words from last night. You didn’t know if it was possible for you not to fall in love with him.

Your train of thought was interrupted when in walked your brother in law. Jaemin. He was quite popular with the girls in NCT as he was one of the most flirty men in the mafia. He smiled at you and said “good morning Y/N. You’re looking very beautiful and tired today. Didn’t sleep well?” You knew what he was implying by that comment and just blushed heavily. Jaehyun looked at his brother and said “don’t.” That was enough for jaemin to stop. He sat at the table opposite you as he started to eat.

A few minutes later both their phones rang and you could hear someone screaming on the other line. It was an unfamiliar voice. But at that instant they both got up. Jaehyun looked at you and said “don’t wait up for me tonight.” And just like that he was gone. Leaving you alone in this mansion.

Weeks went by since the incident, you refuse to recall that day. It was too heartbreaking, the image of your severely injured husband being tied up still makes your heart ache. Thankfully, with the help of his personal doctor, he was able to recover speedily.

It was nice to be yourself around her again, you watched her as she prepared something for you to eat. “You’ve been eating a lot recently Madam, you get hungry so easily” She pointed out, you shrug and said “Maybe because I’ve been moving around and exercising but you know what’s weird?...” “What is it Madam?” “I feel like pickles, can you make me something with pickles inside?” Then Ara’s eyes widen, “Madam, you hate pickles, what’s wrong?”

He has also faintly mentioned about how you have been forgetful recently but now… I just feel like you’re confirming it for me, trust me and go!” You listened to her and thought back to the times when you’d forget about the events Taeyong has asked you to go to and even little things like flushing the toilet. 

You couldn’t believe your own ears. Slowly walking towards the bathroom, your heart was racing. You didn’t know if you want it to be true or not, all you wanted to know was how Taeyong would react to this. 

Closing the door behind you, you followed the instruction on the packet, peed on the stick and waited, it had to be the longest five minutes of your life. You watched the long hand dragging itself and when it finally hit the five minutes mark, you looked at the stick. The sight in front of you made you froze in the spot, two lines. Pregnant. 

You stood there as still as a statue until there was a knock on the bathroom door, “Hey, are you okay?” It wasn’t Ara, it was Taeyong’s voice. “Uhh...yeah, I’m- uh- fine” You managed to say. “Open the door, you don’t sound okay… Ara told me you’ve been in here for a while...” “Give me a second...” you finally had your senses back, you quickly chucked the test into the bin as you weren’t sure if you want Taeyong to find out just yet and fixed yourself before opening the door.

“Can we talk somewhere else? not by the door...” shoving past him, you had him worried, you could tell he was worried as he was bombarding you with questions. “Are you sick? are you hurt? look at me...” It took awhile for you to mentally prepare yourself, you turned to him and said “I think…I’m-” “You think what?” he was very impatient by this point. “I think...I’m….pregnant” you murmured. 

“What?” he frowned as he couldn’t hear you, “Pregnant, I think I’m pregnant” you watched his expression change. You couldn’t figure out if he was happy or not. He was just as blank as you were. “What does that mean? Like I’m going to be a dad?” He broke the long, painful silence.

“Yes” you replied. Another silence. His silence gave you doubts, maybe you shouldn’t have told him so fast. Things were only just working out between the two of you. “I- I’m going to be a dad… oh my fucking god… wait, is this a prank?” he carefully asked. 

“No...” Then in a swift he picked you up in his arms, he spun you around and hugged you tight once he let you down on the bed. “I’m so excited! I’m going to be a dad! and you are going to be a mum. Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl?” his eyes lit up as he was talking to you. The wonder and the excitement was overwhelming. 

“No… I just found out! I wouldn’t have a clue weather it’s a boy or girl” he sat up from the bed as you finished, “You just found out? how?” “By using a pregnancy test Taeyong...” you rolled your eyes at him “Where is it?” “In the bin” you answered. With a scream he ran into the bathroom and searched for the test, then ran back out with the test in his hand “How dare you throw my baby into the bin” he said with a puff and huff. 

His over exaggerated reaction made you smile, you felt safe knowing he was completely fine with becoming a father, you knew deep down he was only over exaggerating to comfort you. That day you spent your time in bed as Taeyong wouldn’t let you move one bit, “Stay in bed, let me do everything for you” with a laugh you replied “If I don’t move then your baby might feel bored”.You lied in bed with Taeyong’s arms around you. 

“Do you think I’ll be a good mum?” Without doubt, he replied “Yes, I know you’ll be amazing” you couldn’t help but smile, his words has magic, you felt much better after his sentence. “Let’s wait for a little while before we tell everyone” Taeyong suggested. 

You watched his face and he looked into your eyes, “I want this to be a surprise for everyone like it was for me” you nodded silently. then he went on “You have no idea how happy I am, this feeling is indescribable, and I’m sure I would never feel this way if it wasn't for you.” The stars in his eyes twinkled as he spoke.

“I want the rest of the boys to experience love too, they need to learn how to love in order to appreciate, I have you so they need someone to help them too. What do you think about finding someone for Jaehyun?” He asked. 

You didn’t know much about Jaehyun but you thought about Taeyong’s words, the boys were exactly like Taeyong, they don’t know what love is, but you wanted them to be happy as much as Taeyong does. “I think that is a great idea” With a kiss Taeyong pulled you closer and promised “I will love you till death do us apart, you are my woman. The most important woman”

Your mind was still blank, the pain in your chest grew, you held your hand against it to soothe yourself but it was no use. Ara helped you up and sat you down on the couch, your heart began to race with all the bad thought coming into your head. What if he is hurt crudely? What if they torture him so much that he never wakes up? What if he dies? You shook your head in denial, trying to think of something you could do to help the situation. “Madam, here have some water” Ara offered a glass of water, you took the glass in your hand and pulled Ara to sit next to you.

“Ara, I need to do something… I can’t let anything happen to Taeyong, I don’t know what I’d do if something happened to him.” You said desperately with a determined look on your face. “I think it’s best if you stay in the house, I’m sure Jaehyun already has a plan to rescue Taeyong, if you go it might just make his job harder” You could tell Ara was trying to convince you but you weren’t ready to give in. You had to do something, anything that will assure you of Taeyong’s safety. 

“Fine, I will go and find him myself” at this point you were just being stubborn. “Madam, please… it’s not the time” “I think you have forgotten, you are just my maid, don’t you dare tell me what to do” You felt horrible as soon as the words had left your mouth. You saw Ara’s face drop as she looked down to the ground. “I apologize Madam” Her apology made you feel even more guilty but you didn’t want anything to stop you from going to see Taeyong. Finally, Ara said “Allow me to take you to the warehouse, where Jaehyun and the rest of them would be” Her voice now frightened. You went upstairs and got changed into clothes that would be easier to move around in. You decided to put on black clothing, a black shirt with a black leather jacket and black pants with black boots to match. 

As you headed downstairs, you felt a sharp pain once again, not from your back this time but from your stomach. It was rare, you never really experienced stomach pains, it was like someone had punched you. You bent over on the staircase, took a few minutes but managed to get into the car which Ara was waiting in by the front door. 

She drove as you sat in the back trying to fight your stomach pain away, you ended up in a position that eased some of the pain. Then soon, Ara pulled up to a warehouse, with lights and cameras all around. It was the biggest thing you’d seen in your whole entire life. Jumping out of the car, you observed the place carefully, it sent chills down your spine, it was somehow scary, it looked haunted but you felt at home. Walking to the front door, you felt Ara’s hand pulling onto your wrist. “Madam, are you okay? You look so pale...” to which you pulled your hand away and replied with a simple “I’m fine.”

The door was locked, you had no idea what the password was but you could hear noises coming from inside. It was a voice you had heard before, but you couldn’t quite recall who it was. “It’s Y/N” You hear the voice yelling out. Seconds later the door opened and you were greeted by Mark and Yuta. They were very different to how you saw them at the wedding and also at your mother in law’s house, they were armored with a bulletproof vest and a gun in their hand. “Greetings, please come in.” They bowed to you and you entered as you have been asked.

As you entered, the door shut immediately after you. Your eyes scanned the place, it was very different to how you imagined. The wide space had lots of things inside but it wasn’t messy, you walked over to a wall which had weapons hung up and admired how your husband sees this every day without being scared to death. A voice came from behind and made you jump “well look who we have here?” You turned to see it was Jaemin, smiling as he always does. “Are you okay?” He asked once he saw your pale appearance. “I’m fine… where is Jaehyun? I need to know where Taeyong is” You asked. “He’s in the back office, I’ll take you down but just so you know despite looking so pale you still look great” Jaemin winked.

Usually, you’d feel very shy and timid by his bold words but today, you brushed past him causing him to widen his eye. He gathered that you weren’t in the mood for him to joke around, so he took the lead and led you into a dark office where Jaehyun could be seen with men surrounding him. “We need to move fast, tonight is very crucial, we’re not coming back without Taeyong, understand?” There was a silent nod by the rest. “Hyung, Y/N is here,” Jaemin said while he sits down to join the conversation. 

“Y/N, why are you here?” A confused look can be seen from Jaehyun’s face, “I thought I told you to-” You cut him off from finishing his sentence “I know what you said, and I know this is probably not the best thing to do but I can’t bare the suspicion of not know if my husband is safe or not at home, especially alone.” Everyone looked at you then you realized Taeyong’s most trusted men were all in the room. “He’ll be okay, we will make sure he is.” A soft tone came from the back, you looked over to see Kun. He smiled at you gently and Jaehyun sank back onto the couch. 

“So what exactly do they want in exchange of Taeyong’s life?” Winwin was speaking this time, his voice was cold as usual. “They want everything, everything owned by NCT, I can’t let them do that, knowing Taeyong he’d probably tell them to kill him instead. He would protect NCT at all cost.” You heart skipped a beat for a second, hearing what Jaehyun said. ‘How can he just die… for NCT… what about me...’ the thought rushed past through your head.

“No! you can’t let him do that! I need him.” There are now tears building in your eyes, “I know we will try-” Then you cut him off again “No, don’t just try, you have to make sure he is back safely, I can’t lose him.” Your demanding words made everyone silent in the room. “How do you know what they want? did they send a letter or a video or something?” You said breaking the silence. This time Lucas spoke, “I interrogated the girl Johnny brought back and she told me some details but she wouldn’t tell me anything else...”. “What girl?” You directed this at Johnny who sat at the very end, looking down onto the ground. “Yuta saw her wandering around your house a few weeks ago, so he sent me to capture her which I did, I brought her back so Lucas could try and get something out of her and find out what he is after.” His voice sounded annoyed, you weren’t too sure why but this man didn’t seem to be a fan of you. 

But his words made you realize this whole time, you were wrong about Taeyong. That text from Johnny is about this mysterious girl who tried to sneak into your house. ‘That’s why Taeyong was here this whole time, trying to come up with something to secure NCT.’ You buried your face in your hands, lost for words. While your husband was doing such an important job, you were busy sobbing away at home, thinking he was seeing someone else. You felt stupid then a noise came from a distance away.

“What is that noise?” You asked with curiosity, “Probably just the girl Johnny brought back” Doyoung spoke, it was the first time you heard him since you arrived. “She is here? where is she?” “I think it’s better if you don’t see her” Lucas replied quickly as if he was trying to hide something. “Why? did you hurt her badly?” You asked while standing up. “No, but...” He didn’t go on any further knowing it was no use as you were heading towards the noise already.

You stopped in front of a room not too far from the office, the noise was clearly coming from the inside. You went to turn the knob but Jaehyun stopped you. You looked back to see all of them standing behind Jaehyun, “What?” “Are you sure?” Without answering you opened the door to see a table and chair sitting in the middle of the dark, stuffy room. Then you looked up, there she was, the girl who fucked up everything, she was hung up against the wall, hands and legs tied and mouth stuffed with a piece of cloth. You looked back to catch Lucas’ eyes, “Is this the best you can do?” then you walked over to the girl.

You watched as she struggled, trying to move her arms and legs which are tied down, she sounded as if she wants to say something, therefore, you stepped closer and removed the cloth in her mouth. “Save me” she pleads with tears streaming down her face. You looked at her with an intense gaze, “Save you? you want me to save you? do you not know who I am?” Your voice came out soulless, you were surprised by how emotionless and calm you were even seeing a girl being tortured like this in front of you. “Please… I’m begging you” she went on. You felt anger consuming over your conscious, you raised your hand and slapped across her face. “How dare you have the audacity to ask me to save you, after putting my husband in danger.” There was a bright red mark on her face. 

“You better pray he comes back safely otherwise I will fucking tear you apart with my own hands, I will make sure you die in the most painful way.” Your voice was stern, you meant every word you said then you turned to walk out. “Whew feisty, so hot, I like it” You heard Jaemin comment quietly as you walked past.

Moments later, they all came back to the office where you were, they informed you that they’re going to prepare themselves and head out as the night grew darker. You followed them to the weapon area and watched as Doyoung distributed weapons to everyone, It was strange seeing them all armored. “I’m coming too” you requested. There was no answer instead they all carried on with what they were doing. “I said I’m coming” Finally, Jaehyun came closer to you, “Don’t be silly, it’s dangerous, stay here and we’ll get Taeyong.” 

His hand was on your shoulder assuring you but you didn’t want to listen. “I’m coming. That was a statement, I wasn’t asking if I could” “Stop making our job harder.” You recognized the annoyed voice, it was Johnny. He walked up to you and said with dead eyes “I don’t want to waste my energy saving you... ” “You won’t have to” you tried to sound confident but it came out cowardly. “Fuck it… do whatever you want, just know you are not our priority so if you get hurt then don’t come crying.” “You and I have the same priority.” Then Winwin came and handed you a bulletproof vest and stuffed a pocket knife into your hand. “Use this when you need to...” He wasn’t looking at you but you felt warmed by his action.

Once everyone was ready, you all hopped into separate cars, you were riding with Mark, Yuta, and Jaemin. You felt more comfortable being next to Jaemin, although he was always joking now he seemed very intimidating with his uptight expression. The car came to a stop, you peeked out to see rows of warehouses, which seems to belong to Got7. “We’re here” Mark Informed you. Jaemin handed you something as you looked out the window. “Keep this on you too, and don’t hesitate to use it” you looked at your hand and saw a taser. You nodded as a sign of appreciation. 

All of you had parked quite distant just in case you’d alarm their security. As you hop off, you could hear Jaehyun quietly ordering everyone and reminding each of them of their job. “Johnny, Y/N will move with you.” Then you saw Johnny roll his eyes, you knew he didn’t want to but he couldn’t disobey Jaehyun’s orders. You watched as they separate to search for Taeyong, you followed Johnny and tried to catch up with his long legs. “I’m not going to wait for you if you want to be slow,” he said with an irritated voice. With that he disappeared into the darkness, you had to admit after Johnny left you felt scared, you felt alone but the thought of rescuing Taeyong motivated you to keep going. 

Finally, you were near the warehouse, you had no idea where everyone else was but you stayed hidden as that was the smartest thing to do. You could see some men walking around with guns in their hand but they seemed to be relaxed, unaware of the situation. You moved quietly and came to a door, debating whether you should open it or not, you went with your gut feeling. You opened the door and it made a loud crack. “Fuck” you whispered under your breath. Then you hear footsteps running towards you. holding the taser tightly in your sweaty hand, you anticipated for the security to find you but to your surprise, the footstep vanished. You peeked to see Johnny, he had two men lying next to his leg, bleeding. 

You felt relieved. “Are you serious?” He shook his head and asked. “I didn’t know...” You admitted. You watched Johnny holding onto his ear to see he had headphones in, he listened and nodded in response then turned to you to say “They searched row 1, 2, 4 and 5 but Taeyong isn’t there so he should be here, this is row 3, we need to move fast.” You couldn’t believe how fast these men worked. You wondered how long they have trained to have become so professional. Tailing behind Johnny, you followed him and helped to search through each warehouse, you hope began to die down. Maybe Taeyong isn’t even here after all…

Then it came to the last warehouse, you could feel tears twirling in your eyes, you had lost all hope in finding Taeyong, you regretted everything, you wished you had told him you loved him earlier, you wish you spent more time with him but it’s all too late now. While you were occupied in your own thoughts, Johnny had opened the door. No one could be seen. Your heart dropped, Johnny let out a long sigh and just as he was about to inform Jaehyun, Taeyong couldn’t be seen, you heard a faint sound. It was very subtle, almost silent, you walked into the warehouse and reached your hand out to feel since it was pitch black. 

As you walked further down you could hear clear sounds of breathing, you turned to whisper, “Johnny, someone is in here” to which he followed in and turn on his torch. The light of the torch didn’t show much but then something came into your vision. Someone you’ve been dying to see, someone you missed dearly. It was Taeyong, he was tied to a pole and there was blood all over him. Johnny quickly informed Jaehyun about the location of Taeyong then paced towards Taeyong check if he was okay. You froze, unwilling to move, you were horrified by the sight of your almost dying husband. 

You scanned his body to see deep cuts, cuts that still had blood gushing out of him, you couldn’t move closer to him. “Y/N, come and help untie Taeyong” Johnny called out to your frozen figure. It took you a minute to come to your sense, you slowly moved closer, at last, your hand was in contact with the person you missed. Tears rolled down your cheek quietly, it hurt you more than anything to see him like this, you wish it was you instead.  

“We have to be quick, otherwise we will be noticed,” Johnny told you but it was too late. The light of the warehouse switched on, in front of you stood a pack of men who seemed like they didn’t come in peace. “Well well well, what do we have here.” An average height men stepped forward, he wasn’t afraid to come close, he walked towards you but Johnny stopped him before he reached. “Stay the fuck away Jinyoung.” Then it all made sense, it was Jinyoung, the leader of Got7 that’s why he didn’t show a bit of horror. 

“Very brave, standing up against me, I admire you.” He patted Johnny on his back to push him out of the way. Johnny stepped aside and held his gun to point it towards Jinyoung, “I told you to stay the fuck away.” “Chill man, I just want a chat with this beautiful lady” he leaned into your face you weren’t scared, you stared right into his eyes. “Don’t touch her you fucking bustard” it was a weak voice coming from behind you, it was Taeyong. He tries to stand himself up but failed, he kneeled down but kept his red veiny eyes on Jinyoung. 

“Stay the fuck away from her, talk to me.” You could tell he was forcing himself to talk, it crushed you to see him like this, “But I don’t want to talk to you, I want to talk to this lady more, it will be more exciting, we should talk somewhere else too, perhaps my bedroom?” Jinyoung gave you the most disgusting look, you felt sick.

You were about to fight back when suddenly a bullet came flying. It shot Jinyoung right in the back, you watched him collapse onto his knees and his men began to panic, they held Jinyoung and rushed out before Jaehyung came in with Winwin. It was Winwin, he shot Jinyoung, you knew it had to be him, it was the most accurate shot. “C'mon lets get out before they load more men!” With that Johnny got Taeyong onto his back and ran towards where the car was parked. 

Johnny softly placed Taeyong in the car you came in, you sat in the back with Taeyong in your arms as Mark drove. You didn’t know how to feel at this moment, you felt empty, Taeyong was seriously injured but you couldn’t help. Your tears dropped into Taeyong’s cheek. You held up a hand to wipe it off but Taeyong raised his arm to hold yours. “Don’t cry.” He said, almost whispering. “It’s all my fault this happened, I’m so sorry.” You blame yourself. “Shhh” Taeyong hushed you, “I’m right here, I’m fine.” You hold him close to you hoping it would ease away the pain for him.

“You shouldn’t have come… The last thing I want is for you to get hurt.” You heart shattered into millions of pieces, you couldn’t believe this man in front of you was worried about you getting hurt while being severely injured. “If I had the option, I’d do the same for you all over again.” You looked into his eyes and said “I love you Taeyong, I’m sorry I can’t meet your expectations of me. I don’t want to just be a display, my feelings for you are real, I am not going to let you push me away anymore, I can’t bare to lose you again knowing you never found out.” Taeyong was weak, he didn’t speak, his eyes were shut but a tear leaked through his heave eyelids. “If I had the choice again, I’d do the same… I love you too….” he finished his sentence and drifted asleep in your arms. 

You placed a kiss on his forehead. His warm body provided you the affection you needed. You were pleased to find out that the feelings you have for Taeyong were mutual. It was as if you were dreaming but you knew you weren’t.

A week past and your relationship with Taeyong got much better. You didn’t feel so alone as he would make the effort to have meals with you and occasionally spend time talking to you about random things. It almost feels like you were a normal couple. You tried to neglect developing feelings but you knew it was difficult, everyday you’d mentally prepare yourself before facing him. 

You made it a part of your routine to give yourself a pep talk “Y/N You’re just a display, he doesn’t love you, he never will. Remember he is just trying to care for you as much as he can. Don’t fall in love” You’d repeat it to yourself in the mirror before leaving the bathroom. It was painful but you knew it had to be done, you didn’t want to lose him completely since you knew if he found out you have feeling towards him he’d leave.

Today, you woke up a little earlier than usual as you felt a sharp pain in your lower back, you rolled over to see the sleeping figure of your husband and just paused to stare. His eyelashes stuck out, his nose looked cuter than usual and his lips were rosy. 

You held your hand near his face but you didn’t touch him. Seeing him next to you was enough, you were too scared that touching him might bring you bad karma since you’d be asking too much. You lie there next to him and words just slipped out of your mouth, “I wish loving you was an option” it was quiet, you weren’t too sure how those words slipped but it did.

Those words describe how you felt about him, you wanted to love him. You wanted to have mutual feelings, something more than what you currently have.

But you were terrified at the thought of being rejected. It was one of your fears, you hated being turned down and you knew your heart wasn’t prepared to handle it. It was only times like this when he’s asleep, you could quietly whisper, hoping he’d suddenly wake up and love you. Which… you knew would never happen.

You got out of the bed and headed for the bathroom to wash up. Just when you were about to enter you heard Taeyong’s phone rang, you looked over to see him popping himself up to answer. 

Standing still by the door, you listened. You were curious to find out what the call would be about. All you could hear was “What? okay… I know… I’ll try...” There were long pauses between his sentences but you could gather from his tone of voice something bad probably happened.

That day, you could sense something unnatural about Taeyong, he seemed a little off, but you couldn’t quite guess what was happening. He kept making mistakes he usually wouldn’t. 

You watched him miss a step and tumble down the stairs while going to the dining room, picking up a spoon to eat his sandwich and not to mention the amount of times he’s walked into the door which he knew existed. You wanted to ask if he was okay, but you didn’t have the courage. The best thing to do at times like this is to keep quiet, you’ve learnt this from own your mother.

Later that afternoon, Taeyong came into the room while you sat on the bed reading a book, he kept quiet and so did you. Your eyes followed him into the dressing room, he was packing bags, you began to panic, you had no idea why he was packing his bag. 

Then you watched him come closer, to drop his bags on end of the bed. “I’m just going to take a shower before I leave Y/N… I’ll be gone for a while” with that he placed his phone next to the bags and rushed into the shower.

As much as you were confused, you tried to make sense of everything. Just when you thought your relationship was getting better with Taeyong he’s acting up again. 

Your thoughts went wild, thinking of all the possible things that could have happened for him to turn back to his original self. Did he hear something about you from other people? Was he seeing someone else? Your thoughts piled one on top of the other, it just got worse.

*Ding* went his phone then you saw the screen of his phone lit up. You were never the type of person to check through phones, especially knowing your relationship with Taeyong was just a show, you shook your head to prevent yourself from going to check what it was, but the inner devil defeated you. 

You slowly climbed over to check what the text reads ‘She’s here, come quick’ That was a text from Johnny. Your heart shattered into pieces. You were right about him having another woman.

Then you heard the bathroom door creak open, you dashed back to where you were and act as if nothing happened while trying to hold back the tears by looking out the window. 

“Eat your meals, take care of yourself, Ara will be in the house if you need her, don’t go out okay?” His voice passes through your ears. You looked at him and just smiled, the ugliest smile you could have ever put on your face, with that he was gone. He didn’t mention how long he was going for but you assumed at least 2-3 weeks considering how much he packed.

From your bedroom, you could hear the front door slamming close, that was when you decided to let yourself release the tears you had been holding back. You cried like there is no tomorrow, you thought you were making progress with Taeyong but obviously he didn’t think the same. 

It hurt a lot more than you expected, knowing he has another woman. Johnny knew, but he didn’t tell you… then hatred took over your thoughts. You hated Johnny for not telling you or at least give you hints about Taeyong seeing another woman, ‘does this mean everyone else knows too??’ You thought to yourself.

Tears rolled down from your cheek, before it dries, new tears would replace the initial one. Your heart was torn into pieces, as much as you hated to admit, you believe you had fallen for a man you shouldn’t, that is why you’re so upset. 

You had no clue when you fell but it’s all too late, it didn’t matter anymore. Nothing could possibly describe how much you desired his love. Just the thought of knowing he could never return those feelings made you weep even more.

You didn’t feel like doing anything else, you stayed in bed and just cried. You’d repeat the cycle because you had nothing better to do anyway. About two days passed, you were still in the same spot Taeyong had left you. 

The only destination you travelled to was the bathroom, but that was it. You didn’t eat and you didn’t speak. Eventually you got so weak, you couldn’t stand anymore, you felt sick, pain could be sensed everywhere. Your whole body ached as you tried to turn in bed.

Ara knew something had upset you but she was clueless of what it was. That night, you could feel a slight knock on your door, you thought you were starting to hear sounds but you weren’t. 

In come Ara with a tray of food. She switched on the light and saw you buried under the blankets. She walked around to your side and placed the food on the table nearby. “Madam, are you okay…?” Her voice showed sympathy. You kept your eyes closed but the tears leaked through, showing Ara that you were awake. “Would you like to talk? It’s just the two of us now, I’m very worried about you”

Hearing her words just made you sob even harder, she sat herself down by you and waited until you calmed down a little, she patted you gently while you cried then you finally opened your eyes. 

Ara saw and instantly leaned in to help you sit up, she placed a pillow behind your back to support you and you just looked at her wondering why she’s been so nice all of the sudden. “Ara, why are you being so nice to me?” You asked in a weak voice.

“I was forced into marrying Taeyong, knowing very damn well this wouldn’t work out but I still fell for it… I fell for Taeyong...” The truth escaped, you were puzzled as Ara didn’t seem too shocked. “I can tell” She replied simply. “You can?” “Yes, I’m not dumb Madam, I can see it every time you look at Mr Lee. Your eyes is filled with love and care. Everything he does has a big effect on you, you may not have noticed but it’s all very clear in my eyes.”

“Were you working for them?” this question was just you being curious. “I was kidnapped when I was 25 by Jinyoung, he is someone who holds power within Got7, he used me to satisfy his men’s needs” She looked down and played with her hands. “I was forced to have sex with whoever continuously for 3 years, I wanted to kill myself...”

“I’m sorry...” You comforted her, “No, it’s fine. He rescued me when he broke into the warehouse one time, he could have killed me but he didn’t, and look at me now, sitting here chatting with you” She looked at you with a smile. 

“I guess that’s a side of him I’ve never seen before” you raised an eyebrow. “To make you feel better, from the time I started working for Mr Lee he has never brought home any other girls… He has changed so much since you arrived” you didn’t want to believe her words, but she looked sincere. 

“Well I’m sorry to disappoint but he hasn’t changed that much… he is still himself.” You added. “I saw him smiling at you countless times while you weren’t looking, I don’t know if you ever caught him but he has. Those clothes in the dressing room, he prepared for you on his own. He asked Kun to secretly investigate you after finding out you were the one he was marrying, he gathered every piece of information about you. Even I know you’re fond of the colour pink now” Your jaw dropped open.

“But it doesn’t matter anymore, he has another girl, somewhere hidden” You tried to make your argument sound more convincing, after hearing what she said. “No idea where you go that from but I can guarantee he is not like that, he doesn’t let anyone touch him, apart from you of course” 

Gradually, you felt better, this chat with Ara helped you to see a different side of Taeyong, your doubt for him slowly eased away. If he doesn’t have another girl… what could the text mean?

That night you spent your time chatting with Ara, who you now consider as your friend. She fed you the food she has made for you and you felt so much better after it. You slept with Ara sitting by your side, it was the first night in two days you actually slept decently with no tears pooling on your pillow.

A week had passed, you and Ara now spend a lot of your time together. Cooking, baking, reading, doing chores and mostly talking. You loved how wise she was, and she loved you more for sure.

“Good morning Ara!” to which she replied “Good morning Madam” You watched her as she made you your favourite eggs benedict, with salmon of course, then you ordered her to make herself a plate so she could eat with you. That day you spent your time doing the usual activities with the company of Ara but as the sun began to set, you began to feel uneasy.

There was a slight pain in your chest, making it hard for you to breathe, it didn’t hurt but it was very random. Last time something like this happen to you was when an earthquake happened. 

‘I hope nothing is wrong’ you thought to yourself. Then as the sun was nowhere to be seen, you got into the kitchen to help Ara prepare dinner. You decided, you felt like some korean food, Ara agreed and promised to make bibimbap as well as tteokbokki for you. You were so excited then suddenly all the excitement vanished.

You heard a loud noise coming from outside, it seems to be a motorbike, although Taeyong did own quite a few motorbikes but you were sure he took a car when he left. You couldn’t help but get your own hopes up, knowing damn well you’ll probably just upset yourself again... you just hoped it was him coming home to see you.

The front door swung open and in came a man dressed in black, you were taken back and stayed as still as you could. You felt your heart stop afraid to look who had entered. Then a familiar face appeared in front of you. 

It was Jaehyun, Taeyong’s right hand man. He held his helmet in his hand as he paced into the kitchen where you were standing. “Fuck...” You heard the word left his mouth, just when you were about to greet him he asked, “Y/N did Taeyong come home?” You were confused, you shook your head and Jaehyun covered his face with one hand.

You watched him having a moment to himself and finally he looked at you and said “Alright, Y/N I better get going, stay here and don’t go anywhere okay? You’re safe here in the house, remember to lock the door and don’t let anyone in” Then he turned to leave. 

“Mind telling me what is going on?” You asked cautiously. “Nothing you should worry about” He promised but you knew he was lying. Detecting lies was one of your strengths, you caught him before he rushed out the door. 

Grabbing onto his wrist, you said “Something is wrong, what happened? Tell me...”

He looked back at you with the most heartbreaking gaze but remained silent, “Don’t scare me... ” You plead. “Tell me what happened!” You were yelling at him by this point. 

“He’s gone” Jaehyun finally said. “Who is? Taeyong?” your voice now, shaky. “Yes...” he seemed speechless. “Where did he go?” That was the real question, maybe the mystery of where Taeyong went could finally be solved.

“To Got7...” he looked guilty, “Why?” You weren’t too sure of the full story but you knew something awful had happened. “Because he thinks Got7 has you. I told him not to rush but as soon as he saw a picture of you he lost his mind....” 

You absorb the information Jaehyun just spilled and asked “What picture?” “A picture of you being tied up… it was most likely photo-shopped…I can’t believe that fucking idiot fell for it, he didn’t even call you to check... ” With that, he left. 

You stood there blank minded, and fell onto the floor. Hearing that Taeyong could be in danger because of you took your soul from your body, you lost all strength so you sat still until Ara found you.

“Madam, are you okay?” She shook your body and you just looked into her eyes with the most helpless face.

Did Taeyong really risk his own life to save yours…? The question remained unanswered.

You looked into the mirror one last time before leaving the dressing room, the dressing room which now belongs to your husband and yourself. It was all still very strange to refer to him as your husband, you realised that Taeyong had cleaned out half his clothes so you could have half the dressing room, he also replaced your clothes with new ones he’s bought. Surprisingly he had great fashion sense, he picked out clothes you’d wear and colours you liked. Well, deep down you hoped it was him that did these things for you.

Leaving the dressing room, you saw Ara struggling with the huge bed sheet therefore you decided to help her. “Let me give you a hand” You offered. The horror on her face puzzled you. “No, it’s okay madam, allow me to do this on my own, Mr Lee is expecting you in his study” It seems as if she was frightened for her life if she accepted your offer. Leaving the room with Ara closely behind, she directed you to Taeyong’s study.

On the way to Taeyong’s study, you finally got the opportunity to have a great view of the house. ‘So this is why people want to come here...’ you thought to yourself. The house was pure white with gold decorations, the window dropped down from the ceiling which allows you to have a clear view of the back garden filled with roses. You were so fascinated by the house that you lost all words, then Ara pointed out to a room hidden at the end of the hallway. “Madam, Mr Lee’s study is just at the end of the hallway” Then bowing to you, she quickly got on with her job.

Strolling along the hallway, you could heard Taeyong’s voice passing the walls, he sounded rather angry. You stood by the door and peeked inside to see him facing the window, having an intense conversation. Then a long sigh could be heard. He rubbed his temple and you observed him. Was he going against his mum to protect you? “This is the first and the last time it will happen, do not order Ara around and say it was from me. And leave Y/N out of these things, she doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.”

You let out a scoff, as much as you think he is being considerate and sweet, the words he said to you last night gave him no authority to say ‘She doesn’t deserve to be treated like that’ to his mother. It was funny really, watching him trying to defend you. You didn’t care what other people would think of you. You knew for a fact no blood could be seen either way since nothing happened, why was he being so mad?

Turning around, Taeyong hung up the phone and saw you peeking into his study. “How long have you been standing there?” No greeting, just a question demanding for an answer. “I just got here” You told him an obvious lie, which you didn’t think he’d fall for but he did. “Come in” he ordered and you followed.

You sat yourself down on a chair nearby his table, your eyes then landed on him. You hated to admit that he looked great, he was dressed in a light blue shirt with three buttons open, a few too many for your liking but you couldn’t help but stare. His hair was down, covering a little of his eyes but it didn’t matter since he had animated looking eyes.

“Um...” He finally said, “Yeah? Something wrong?” You observed his face to see that he was thinking, it seems as if he didn’t know if he should say the words that are now stuck in his throat. “Y/N How do you feel about going to my mum’s house tonight...” He scratch his head and anticipated for a response.

It took awhile to think up the most appropriate response. You weren’t too sure why he looked so awkward and scared to ask you for such a simple favor. He’s made is clear that you are just a display anyway… why did he seem so uneasy?

“Sure, I mean I don’t have anything else planned anyway...” You replied. He then looked at you with the most concerning eyes “Are you sure?”. “Yeah, I don’t mind, I have to eventually go greet your mum anyway.” “She won’t be the only one there… There will be quite a few people...” He revealed to you.

In your head, you didn’t think too much about what he said. You’ve been in many occasions where there had been thousands of people, so you nodded at him as a sign of agreement and left to go back to your room to find something nice to wear.

You didn’t notice that Taeyong tailed after you. Entering the dressing room, you looked through the dresses that were hung but couldn’t decide on anything. “Should I help?” Taeyong’s voice made you jump since you were concentrated on picking out an outfit.

“Yeah… that would be nice… what does your mother like?” You asked as he moved closer to you placing one of his arm around your waist and passed you a strapless navy dress. “What she likes doesn’t matter too much, What I like is more important.” You turned to him to see him smirk, it was strange, after all the warning he has given you, he’s decided to over step the line? You took the dress from his hand and moved away. “Thanks I’ll wear this tonight” You said to him in a cold voice.

Later that day, you woke up from your nap and decided it was time to get ready. Taeyong had left you alone after picking out the dress, you spent your time walking in the back garden, reading, cleaning a bit and napped. You had no idea where he was but you didn’t care.

Getting up, you made your way to the bathroom to wash up before applying makeup. Once you ensured you looked flawless, you got into the dressing room to see the dress was lying on top of a chair with two small boxes and a note. The note reads ‘Thought these would go well with the dress.’ You opened the box to see a pair of silver earrings that matched your dress and a ring.

Just as you got the dress and accessory on, you heard the door of your bedroom swung open, “Y/N You ready?” Taeyong searched for you and asked. “Yeah, lets go” You slipped on a pair of silver heels and walked towards him. Then you paused, Taeyong was leaning against the door, staring at you.

“What? Do I look bad?” You pulled onto the dress that was tightly fitted. “Mmmm...” He looked as if he was calculating his thoughts. “No you look the opposite, you look amazing” The sudden compliment made you smile, you didn’t know how to take compliments, especially from Taeyong.

Later that night, Taeyong drove up to a house very similar to his and helped you get off the car. You admired the ginormous water fountain that stood before the house and Taeyong pulled you along to enter the house. “Taeyong is that you?” A voice came from behind causing you to look back. An elder woman reached out to hug Taeyong and you recognised her from the wedding, it was Taeyong’s mum.

You stood next to him awkwardly waiting for them to finish. Then she turned to you and hugged you with a big smile. “Y/N~It’s so nice to have you here, I didn’t think you’d agree” You tilt your head, not know what she was referring to but before you could ask what she meant, she left to order her maids around to set up for dinner.

“C’mon they’ll be waiting” Taeyong said, you followed him into a room and you couldn’t believe your eyes. The pack of men you saw at the wedding was all in front of you again. “Boss” They stood as Taeyong made his entrance. You felt uncomfortable being in a room filled with men but you had no other choice.

“Hey, Y/N you look even better in that dress today, I like it” Jaemin said in a playful tone. You blushed at his words and Jaehyun, Jaemin’s brother smacked his head and reminded him “Stop.” It was as simple was that, he shushed Jaemin, Taeyong didn’t look too pleased with Jaemin’s words as he added “I picked the dress out for her, glad you like it” The sourness poured out of his mouth.

Then the long silence was saved by your mother in law, she invited everyone to be seated for dinner to start. You were surprised by how big her dining table was. There were about 40 people sitting around the table and you sat closely next to Taeyong, of course.

Dinner was nice, you watched as everyone made small conversations as they ate. Soon dinner was over, your mother in law brought out wine. She stood up and everyone focused on her. It seems as if she was about to make a speech, you weren’t wrong about that.

She held up the wine glass and turned to face you, “Thank you everyone for coming tonight, today is a very special day because we officially have a new member in our family. I want to thank Y/N for marrying my son Taeyong, I know he can be quite stubborn and self-centered but he is a great guy” You laughed inside, secretly you loved her description of Taeyong.

Then she went on “Today, I have gathered everyone to witness the sheet inspection process. I’d love for everyone here to witness the love between my son and Y/N” Your eyes widen at her words.

You were speechless. Your mind went blank. Fuck…

You have never in your life thought about marrying someone who was as cruel and heartless as Taeyong, well at least that is what you have heard about him.

Nothing about him was attractive to you, the only attribute that you kind of, sort of, like was his looks. God is definitely on his side with that. As much as you tried to hate him, you couldn’t, his big animated looking eyes draws your attention, his broad shoulders and muscular slim figure gives you mixed feelings. You wished the rumors you have heard about him weren’t true but you knew that was his job, his destiny that he has to fulfill. Ever since his dad passed away, as recent as last week, the news about him taking over NCT broke out. It was literally everywhere you could ever imagine, on TV, in the newspaper, online, and almost every platform there are in the world.

You do feel sorry, when you first heard about the news you were utterly shocked as your family were quite close with his. Watching him step up to his father’s role made you more sympathetic towards him. But you didn’t expect yourself to be forced into a marriage with him the next week. That was when all the sympathetic feelings vanished. The only person you felt sorry for now was yourself, you’ve had no say the past week, about the wedding, about the ceremony or even about the dress you wanted to wear. You felt vulnerable, broken and used.

You haven’t seen him ever since the marriage was arranged, you barely knew him, he was sort of like a tale you’ve heard but never actually seen as he was always very high up in NCT. Although there were a few events you attended where he was present but the amount of security around him made him invisible.

Tonight was the first time you saw him properly, the man you married. He was dressed in a black suit, white shirt and a fancy gold tie that hung from his neck to match with your dress, he looked perfect with his hair styled up showing his flawless visual. You couldn’t help but think about how amazing he looked but you hated yourself for that. That was the only reason why your instinct told you to turn and face the other way. As you turned you tried to focus on the other surroundings but you could feel a sudden warmth coming towards you.

It was so close and your body stiffens. “It’s nice to see you!” It was Taeyong, he greeted the girl who was still babbling on about how beautiful she thinks this whole ceremony is, “Oh don’t flatter me” There was a flirty tone in her voice, you couldn’t believe your ears. “Does she really think flirting with Taeyong will get her somewhere?” The thought repeated loudly in your head. Thankfully, Taeyong just smiled and shut her down by placing an arm around your waist. The sudden affection was horrifying, it was an unusual move on his part. Therefore you didn’t know the proper way to react, so you decided to stand still and let him do whatever he has planned. “Will you please excuse us? I think Y/N is a little tired, she needs some rest.” His words caused you to look up at him. His side profile was absolutely mouth-watering.

You stared at him, perhaps a little longer than expected, since you felt him pull you even closer to his body. “Oh yeah, sorry I think I just need to sit for a while, please excuse us and enjoy the rest of the night” With that you followed Taeyong’s lead and walked into a dark empty room that you didn’t know existed. “You should tell me next time when you feel uncomfortable” his words broke the silence, you were indeed surprised that he would say something like that. Was he looking at you this whole time? how did he know you were feeling uncomfortable? You looked at him with a slight smile, “Thank you anyway… I thought it’d be rude to leave during a conversation...” “It’s not a conversation if there’s only one person talking, am I right? besides, no one can say anything to you anymore, you are my wife.”

Your eyes widen at the words “You are my wife”, you have totally forgotten that today was the day when you said your vows. Vows that meant practically nothing as it was all scripted. “We shouldn’t be gone for too long, people will start looking for us, let’s head back now” The thought of going back to the crowded place gave you a headache, you hated being around so many people especially knowing half of them were there not to congratulate you but to make fun of you. You lean against the chair, making no initiative to move, just then you felt Taeyong next to you.

You looked into his eyes, confused. You weren’t too sure what his expression meant, you’re still learning to read your husband’s expressions. Was he worried? Then you see him hold up a hand, “C’mon, I’ll be next to you, so don’t worry about anything else” His words sounded soothing somehow, he made you felt like you weren’t actually alone. Taking his hand slowly, afraid to over step the line, he held tightly onto you and head out into the crowd.

His hand replaced your worries and fear, being next to him seems to make things 100 times better than it was. Perhaps it’s because everyone looks up to him, and everyone respects him? You watched as he changes his expression, you observed how his eyes would curl up as he smiles and how his lips moved as he spoke. Losing yourself in watching every movement of his was definitely not something you thought you’d be addicted to, but tonight you were drawn to him. For a split second you thought “Maybe I could love this man”.

That thought lasted about 5 seconds before it died out. You watched a pack of men walking towards the two of you. “Don’t worry, they’re my people” Taeyong felt your hard grip and your tensed up body thus he assured you. The pack of men stopped in front of you and bowed, you watched each individual trying to examine them to figure out who they were but failed. The only thing you could identify was they all had astonishing visuals just like your very own husband.

“Congratulations boss” A tall man spoke with a big smile, you returned the smile and nodded your head. “I can’t wait till the two of you have babies” He continues, you could feel your face heating up due to his bold words but Taeyong laughed and smacked his shoulder “Don’t be silly, we just got married...” “It’s going to happen one day or the other, right? might as well make it happen as soon as possible” then he shrug his shoulder. Taeyong turned to you and introduced “This is Lucas, he works as an interrogator” you had to stop and check if you heard the right thing, you couldn’t believe this man who looks like a bundle of joy handles interrogating. “Don’t judge a book by its’ cover” You reminded yourself as Taeyong went on introducing the rest of them to you.

The next man who caught your eye was a tall figure with dark brown hair, he looked as if he walked out of the fairy tale. He noticed you looking at him therefore introduced himself “My name is Jaehyun, nice to meet you” His voice was very gentle, Taeyong then introduce him as his right hand man. “Looks it” you thought as you watched the way he presented himself.

“This is Doyoung, he is in charge of weapons.” You stared at the dangerous looking man and felt shivers down your spine. His fierce glare gave you a mini panic attack. “It’s nice to finally meet you” He tried to greet you in his most caring voice.

“My turn next! My name is Jaemin” He leaned close to you and you thought he was going in for a hug but instead, he planted a light kiss on your cheek. You froze in the spot, not knowing what to do and Taeyong quickly pushed him away. “Not with my wife Jaemin, anyone but her… Don’t you dare do it ever again” Taeyong's voice was firm. This is the first time seeing him like this, surprisingly it made you feel tended. “He is in charge of drugs” you nodded and tried to match each person with the job they’re in charge of. “Also Jaehyun and Jaemin are brothers! don’t know if you can tell but they differ in many ways”

“Woah, boss chill, Jaemin has always been like that… Anyways my name is Yuta” The blonde man offered his hand which you took without thinking too much, he winked at you once your hands were in contact and you could tell straight away he was just like Jaemin, both with playful and sweet personalities. Then the man next to him looked lost, he kept looking around like a meerkat in the desert trying to keep an eye out for its’ predator. Yuta noticed and nudged him so he can introduce himself “Oh, sorry, just wanting to make sure everything is okay in here, my name is Mark” You felt different about Mark, he looked like a decent guy, he looked responsible then Taeyong added “Yuta and Mark takes care of security.”  

Your eyes then traveled to the next guy in line. “Hi, I’m Ten and I am the one that planned the wedding, how do you like everything so far?” You smiled, “I love it very much, thank you for all your effort, everything is perfect.” You lied, you couldn’t bring yourself to tell this man in front of you how shitty you were actually feeling, he didn’t have a part in forcing this marriage. “Ten is in charge of treasury, tell him whenever you need money, even though I’ll make sure you have plenty to spend but just in case… he is the one to ask if you are after money”. You felt as if you were actually Taeyong’s wife when he finished his sentence, it was a pleasant thing to hear him caring about you.

“Kun and Jeno, say hi” Taeyong went on, both of them smiled and nodded their head. “I’m kun, you look stunning today, I’ve never seen a bride as beautiful as you” The pretty faced man said to you and he surely wasn’t cheap with his compliments. “And I’m Jeno!” He smiled and you noticed his moon shaped eyes, it was the most adorable thing you have ever seen in your life. “Welcome to the family” he added. Then you realised he was Taeyong’s brother. Duh, the moon shaped eyes should have given you an idea.

Finally it was coming to an end, you thought maybe this self introduction was never going to finish, your eyes landed on the last two men standing in line, “My name is Winwin and I am the sniper” puzzled, you looked up and down this skinny figure before your eyes, you had no idea he’d be the sniper then the last man spoke. “I’m Johnny, and I am the raider… Don’t be scared I don’t hurt people unless I need to.” He could sense the fear in you, it was very kind of him to explain himself, you smiled at both men anxious to make any moves around them. “Those two usually work with each other, but when they need to, they part to do different jobs for me” Taeyong said as if he was bragging about the men he had working for him.

With the introduction coming to an end, you run your eyes past every single one of them to ensure you have their names engraved in your head, as these are the people who are your husband’s most trusted men. They left not long after they greeted you, leaving you behind awkwardly with your husband. Soon, the reception wrapped up and you were by the exit saying bye to all the guests that attending your wedding. Everything felt so rushed and unreal, the only thing you could remember now was the group of men that introduced themselves, just because it was the last thing that happened. Everything else seems to be erased from your memory.

“Most people are gone now, I’ll just tell Ten to take care of the rest, why don’t you wait here for me so we can go home together?” Taeyong looked back at you and he knew you were exhausted. You could barely answer him, you sat on the chair he bought you and just zoned out while he took off to ensure everything was taken care of.

Shortly he came back to collect you from the chair, you took his hand which he had offered but your legs have given up on you. “Poor thing...” He chuckled as he picks you up bridal style. You didn’t even react, you let yourself sink into his arms as he carried you to his car, well you assumed it was his. Not knowing how long he had driven for, the next thing you knew was him pulling up at a massive mansion. You clearly fell asleep once you got into the car. “You up?” Taeyong asked once he saw you move, you hummed in response. “Do you need me to take you inside?” you shook your head and got off the car on your own.

The house was well managed, you could tell by the front garden and how clean everything is. The colour white shines even under the moonlight, you followed closely behind Taeyong as he pushes open the front door, you couldn’t see very much since it was late and the lights were off, Taeyong reached out to grab your hand, leading you upstairs into a room that was the total opposite to the house. He flicked the lights on and it was still dim but you could tell the room is painted royal red.

“Do you want to shower and get cleaned so you can rest? The bathroom is that way...” His words woke you up. ‘Rest’ what does he mean by rest? Is he thinking about what you’re most afraid of? He loosened his tie, unbuttoned his shirt and began to strip off his clothes, you couldn’t handle watching him so you ran into the bathroom which he pointed out to you earlier on.

The silence in the room made you wonder what he was doing, then you got distracted. You scanned your eyes through the bathroom to see everything set out nicely. Most importantly, there were pairs of everything, two towels, two cups, two toothbrushes, two robes and such. You had no idea who prepared this but it was very heartwarming to see a bit of “our” in the bathroom.

Trying not to let your thoughts take you too far, you quickly showered and decided just put on the robe as you weren’t too sure where your belongings were. Hesitating to leave the bathroom, you took a deep breath and headed out to see Taeyong lying on his side of the bed already. You assumed it was his side since he claimed it first, there was a huge gap between his pillow and yours. It made you realise how big his bed was. You stopped by the end of the bed to check if he was asleep, then you saw his eyes shut tightly.

This was the first time seeing Taeyong so unguarded. His sleeping figure made you freeze to stare. He was truly beautiful, the fact he was half naked didn’t help, you couldn’t take your eyes off him.You watched him as you quietly climbed onto the bed. Mindful, to not wake him… Then suddenly you felt him roll over. Shutting your eyes tightly as you felt him on top of you, your heart paused. You held your breath, frightened to even look at him.

“Why the fuck are you closing your eyes?” His voice lowered as he spoke. “Please… I-” “Please what? What are you even imagining right now?” He questioned. Gradually, you opened your eyes to see him, staring right into your soul. This was the moment you’ve been anxious about, you have been warned by your own mother, to ensure you do whatever he wants in bed, to obey and to let him take over you as if you were an object. You couldn’t fight back, knowing it would happen sooner or later, but now… It’s happening.

“I know what you want to do...” You said to him quietly with butterflies began to build in your stomach. “What do you think I want to do?” The suspicion was dreadful, especially with that tone in his voice. “This is our first night together… I think that’s enough for me to know what you want to do next” That was the moment you knew you fucked up, you watched him lean closer.

His hot breath was inches apart, “I’m not planning to do anything, don’t overthink. We may be married but that doesn’t mean I need to have sex with you. You’re just here as my wife, my wife that I can show to the world. Nothing but a display.” Those words were harsh, you felt tears building up in your eyes but you knew you couldn’t show him the fragile side of you. “I will take care of you just because we’re married, but nothing more, I will not have sex with you because I don’t love you and I never will. Remind yourself each day, that I will not give you anything more than care. Oh, and don’t try to talk to me when unnecessary.” Taeyong made it very clear what he was expecting from you, and you thought better of him from how he behaved earlier on.

You were wrong, extremely wrong about him. He was just like how others described, Cruel, cold and heartless. Even to his own wife.

People say “Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity” but you knew he wouldn’t even grant you any. Staring at his ice cold face, your turned, refuse to look any longer. “Goodnight, Mrs Lee” He leaned and kissed your cheek. Then retreated to his side of the bed. Just like that, that was how you spent first night as a married couple. No interactions whatsoever, the only warmth you could feel was the puddle of tears on your pillow.
