Baby don’t cry by daesung is an absolute musical masterpiece. It’s fairly simple instrumentally however this allows for the beauty of the lyrics to truly shine through and allows for daesungs vocal talent to absolutely shine through. While simple the lyrics so beautifully capture the solidarity for their partenr that the Byoung Hoon Kim was aiming to display that is backed up by the instrumental.

It is a song that manages to age beautifully whilst also making you feel as though it’s 2011 at the same time. The song manages to create comfort that reminds you of being a child in the car after a long day trying so hard to stay awake while the radio (specifically the older car radios where the writing was orange) plays quietly and you just feel safe.

Overall I think that it is underrated for the masterpiece that it is and I also think that daesung as a vocalist and member of big bang is incredibly underrated and often his contributions go overshadowed in favour of other members while he manages-19 years after his debut- to remain one of THE kpop vocalists
