A bit ago I drew @fayefayefay ‘s OC Bronwyn Stark from her Baelor/Maekar. She eventually ended up writing an AU of her fic so that Bronwyn and Maekar could get their happily ever after.

Maekar, Lady of Winterfell - Explicit, Omegaverse, Maekar/OC

I couldn’t help but think about what that would mean for how the Maekarlings look and gave it a shot redrawing them. Some of them look the same, some look different. The names are changed up in the interest of some more northern names for the eldest at least (can’t believe there’s an actual Edderion in the Stark family tree, what a world).

I pulled inspiration from a couple of different places and cultures, to include Russian traditional clothing and Yakuts traditional clothing. Tried not to lean too heavily in any one direction, though who knows how well I accomplished that. There are two additional Bronkarlings that are just infant twins but I feel like their big old heads freak me out a bit so maybe I’ll redraw them swaddled into little baby wraps and add them later. 🙂‍↕️

its actually pretty necessary for people who grew up being told "all of your thoughts are constantly monitored by an omniscient and omnipotent authority who may doom you to an eternity of torment if you think wrong" to occasionally be reminded that none of it is true at all.
