Taking a deep breath, you let the stillness seep into your body before looking at the empty plate and cup. You should take the dishes to the kitchen and help the others with whatever they’re doing, but you can’t bring yourself to do it. Instead, you let your gaze wander, stopping at Qifrey’s work desk, and notice the drawer he hasn’t closed properly. The mess in that one corner always seems to be a part of him.
As always, the surface is crammed with ink bottles, loose scraps of paper and a half-finished drawing that he must have abandoned because it makes no sense. The chair is pushed back askew, and the drawer fits perfectly into this picture. It’s Qifrey through and through, and yet you’d love to show him the benefits of a tidy desk.
So you pull yourself together and bridge the gap. You sort through the papers, arrange them at the head of the table, and later pick up the ink to put it in the drawer.
However, you get no further than opening the wooden drawer fully and staring into it. It’s just as untidy as everything else about this table. Sealing wax is scattered, various quills lie discarded, a spare pair of spectacles is in danger of being squashed by the wax, and he has pushed a bundle of letters aside. They are tied together with a piece of blue ribbon, the same shade as the one that once was on your wrist. Some of the paper is crumpled or stained. Some of the edges are dark, rust-brown.

Soon (after dying in my current MoonJune challenge), I'm going to get back into the FGO fandom. Not only with a very big story, but also with some extra stories I want to built up like 1001 nights (yeah, my delulu ass again).
First shots should come out for Christmas and New Years (1st Janurary because I always post something on the 1st of the year).
And since I'm slow as fuck, collecting beloved charcaters should start now! So, let me ask you, dear Fate community: If you could choose any and all servants, who would you wish to see in a OS on said days? Of course it would be Reader x Servant shots!
Let us collect servants, so we can later find out who are the first in the set of greatness (hah! I at least try!)!
I present to you, with a horrible headache, that chapter 20 just managed to see the ligh of day. Only ten more to go for @monthlywritingchallenges' MoonJune! Though I'm starting to doubt I'll manage to make this in time.
However, those 10 chapters were fluff, a lot of hurt, a lot of build-up, and a lot of pain, comfort, and questions. Qifrey opens up, we regret. Perfect combo lol.

The sound is an anchor in your small, broken world. It’s so familiar; you used to hum it back then too, when it was raining and you didn’t know how to simply “be”. Because how are you supposed to be when you can’t even say which creature you’re supposed to play?
Back then, you weren’t good, nor were you evil. Qifrey trusted you. Then he stopped. You’re a brimcap. Then, for a brief moment, you weren’t. And now, perhaps you are, perhaps you aren’t.
And then you see the margin notes from past-you to present-you and you have no damn idea what the hell you meant with them because they are senseless gibberish that made sense to past-you but present-you is now busy with an emotional breakdown.

Day 10 was "Abyss". For me, this chapter was also about doing together in the fast and messy way, between being scared and unsure and lost on so many levels. Hah.

“You…,” he begins, but he can’t find the right words. His fingers dig into the fabric of your robe, almost as if testing whether you’re really here. The lamplight catches the flush colouring his cheeks and the fluttering of his eyelashes as he senses the sudden touch of your body against his.
You don’t let go, savouring the moment of being so close to him, while the pounding in your chest grows a little harder with every passing second.
“We shouldn’t,” he murmurs. “This…” Yet he doesn’t pull away. His pulse beats steadily and rapidly against your own. “You and me. It’s not – it would be inappropriate.”

So how about we write a lovely letter to Qifrey? (Be careful, the story is rated explicit because there will be smut in later chapters.)

Dear Qifrey,
I hope this letter finds you well, if at all.
You weren’t expecting this, were you? Perhaps you even thought that everything to do with me would simply fade away eventually. But here it is. Letter twenty-eight, because all the others began with a lie. With “I’m sorry”.
at some point in your life you will be boiling fruit, water, sugar, and lemon juice in a pot to make a syrup or jam. the instructions will tell you to simmer for a certain amt of time. your timer will go off and you will look at the pot and go, "hm, this doesn't look thick enough. maybe i'll let it go for another 10 minutes." this is the devil speaking. it's only so liquid right now because it is at boiling point. it will thicken when it cools down. learn from the follies of my youth and do not let this happen to you
at some point in your life you will be making a sauce or a stew in which you need to add cornstarch to thicken it. and you will prepare a slurry of starch in cold water and think "this looks like way too little starch to thicken this amount of liquid." this is the devil speaking. cornstarch instantly polymerizes at 95°C and if you add too much it will turn into an impossibly thick goop.
at some point in your life you will be making some sort of cream based dessert that requires gelatin to thicken it. and you will soak some gelatin sheets in water and think "this is too few gelatin sheets for this amount of cream." this is the devil speaking. it will thicken in the fridge and if you add too much you will end up with milk jelly
at some point in your life you will be baking cookies. you will take the sheet out after twelve minutes as the recipe instructs and the cookies will still be glistening and soft. "these don't seem cooked enough," you will think to yourself, "i should place them back into the oven until their edges are nice and golden." this is the devil talking. this is how you get dry, overdone cookies. the cookies will continue to bake on the warm sheet for several more minutes and then harden up after sitting on a rack for a while. trust the process. trust the process.
at some point in your life you will be cooking sugar, butter and condensed milk to make millionaires shortbread or fudge. you'll cook it for 15 minutes at the right temperature and it will be a lovely golden colour, but it will seem too pale. "maybe I should cook it a little longer just in case". this is the devil talking. if you cook it any longer the caramel/fudge will harden to the point where it's almost inedible. trust the process
Being a fanfic author is about basing your entire premise around a single plot bunny and then having to bullshit your way through the rest of the story.
But you have to make that bullshit make sense somehow so you make up and up and up and get tangled and ... like ... 4000 carrots a day for a single bunny.
Went and made a little Enkidu OS to tame my hyper-fixation I obtained over the last 7 weeks. Well, Fate fandom it is and some good old Enkidu smut. If you're up for some divine enjoyment (and Gilgamesh losing a battle), here you go!
I warn you, it's, of course, explicit and there is a tiiiiny little bit of dub-con. But nothing really that big.
I love how the official game ship Suosaku. The rest of the episodes from anniversary event are released and WHAT IN THE WORLD DID WE DESERVE SUCH SUOSAKU CONTENT?? Suo and Sakura are CHILDHOOD FRIENDS (the roles they play), they both used to play knights together and funny how Suo always won. Since they’re little, they’re always together.
And you know what? THE WRITER OF THE STORY IS NONE OTHER THAN NIREI HIMSELF. Nirei admires(ships) these two so much to make them childhood friends where Suo supports Sakura’s dream and want to stay by his side. He also really wanted to win the competition to bring his lover Sakura back. Idk what to think than gay. Is Nirei is a BL author because his writing is fire 🔥
I wonder if Suo and Sakura were indeed childhood friend in the Main story? Maybe Suo recognizes Sakura but Sakura forgot something like that? Idk it’s vague but it’s still a nice theory and fun to imagine.
Anyway, I will translate later. It will take time but man, what a good fanfic I’m reading rn thank you Nirei.
