Fixing MHA Girl's character development part 2 Tsuyu Asui
Bet your surprised to see her on here because she is such a unproblematic character. She doesn't have any of those dumb weaknesses given to females for no reason. She has a cool quirk, cool design, is calm under pressure, what's not to like?
The problem is that she comes like that. She starts off as a character that doesn't really need much growth. How can her character develop when we see no issues?
She's just there being pretty cool and that's it. Considering her background it's kind of a waste. She is the oldest of serval siblings and that's interesting.
No one else in the class has younger siblings at all that we known about in the class. Oldest sibling syndrome is a thing. I bet she was always the 'mature for age' and 'a delight in class' kid.
It's not common to talk about how older girls will be forced to handle adult reasonability, but it happens a lot and that doesn't mean she needs to have a bad relationship with her parents either.
I'd like to see her siblings brought in more. I'd like her to refuse an outing here or there because of babysitting. To talk about needing to buy something for her siblings when she goes to the mall. Little things.
She can love and enjoy spending time with them, but she has hero training and needs a social life. I'd like her parents to not be bad people or even bad parents, but to not realize that they are taking her for granted.
I think it would be great to see a build up of stress on Tsuyu. I'd like to see what she looks like when the pressure starts to get too much and I'd like to see good parents notice and set some boundaries with her so she isn't taking on too much.
This would be a good way for her to devolve a friendship with some of her classmates if they notice she is having issues and wants to help. It seems like all the girls are friends because they are girls and that's really boring.
You could also do a lot with the frog thing. We know their is discrimination about mutations and we know certain quirks can have weird effects on people.
Her quirk is Frog. Let her eat bugs. For real let her have an ugly, gross side effect of her quirk that she hides because she would be picked on. The spitting stuff up thing honestly just looks sexual, she should eat bugs instead.
At the very least her dad is a Toad man and a scene where one of her siblings asks her to take them to the park instead of their dad because they don't want to be seen with them would be emotional and heart warming as she talks them through not letting others stop you from spending time with those you love.
Lets bring in the mutant discrimination a bit more. Let's show some depth with her. I know she had that one snake friend from middle school which is nice, but her dad would have had a very hard time looking like a Toad. It would effect his family and that would be a lot closer to home for her.
I just think an episode of her family dynamics would give her so much more. She's not bad, but they gave her an interesting family and an interesting quirk and half assed the natural conclusion having those things would lead too.
I started this over a year ago and I've so far written over 120,000 words in this series. This is going to be my finest work and I'm excited it share what I have so far with you!

There will be at least 8 planned parts to this series and I will also be making an Extras section to put things like side stories about minor characters and fanart.
So here's the plot.
Because of a wish that Nanika grants serval characters from Hunter X Hunter are being reborn into the world of My Hero Academia with their memories intact.
The characters from HXH come from a timeline that is after cannon when Gon and Killua are around 18. No changes from the anime although as the manga is not finished it may diverge from the manga.
They are reborn into a MHA that had minor changes to cannon in the later seasons. Because of a key event most characters that died in MHA cannon lived however the War arc was much longer and our Class A and B cast fought for nearly two years in a war torn country against villains.
The 'goal' if you will is for everyone from HXH to heal and be happy in a new world. This is much more challenging then it sounds.
I refuse to let the characters be out of character. It is possible for me to fail in this goal for at least some of the characters. It is however going to be a hell of a wild ride in my attempt.
I have further complicated it my making each main character that gets reincarnated have their own story told in a genre especially for them.

This is a humor focused story about Hisoka gaining a found family while staying in character as a creepy murder clown. So far it as been successful in being both funny, wholesome, and in character. I'm very proud of myself for that.
One of the things this story does really well is introduce you to what the world of MHA is like after the war and shows how the very large cast of characters are living their lives.
The main characters are Hisoka and Kaminari although Bakugou also plays a prominent role. Bakugou/Kirishima is a minor ship in this story as is Deku/Uraraka.
Illumi becomes a main character in this fic after he is born which does take a few in fic years to get to.
This story will conclude when Hisoka is 14 years old and is about to start Highschool. Part two will end at the same time and they will combine into a sequel I will talk about in Part 4.
So far in this story Hisoka is almost 4 years old, we are on chapter 31 at 60,906 words.

This story starts with Momo and Shouto fighting a villain who uses his quirk to kill people, but little do they know that under certain circumstances instead of taking a life this quirk can create one.
Shouto has a fairly brief and very non sexual mpreg situation which results in Momo and Shouto being the parents of Illumi. (This will be the only case of Mpreg in the series.)
This is a drama story focused on healing along with the slow burn romance between Momo and Shouto. It begins when Hisoka is nearly 3 years old.
This is very focused on family drama not petty drama. I am taking the Todoroki family drama in one hand and the Zoldyck family drama in the other and clapping my hands together so hard that Momo manifest her own family drama.
This fic gets rather dark at times due to Illumi's mental health. It is important to read the top notes on this fic as I will sometimes add extra warnings about a chapter there.
Shouto/Momo are the main paring however Deku/Uraraka, Bakugou/Kirishima, Ojiro/Toru and Iida/Camie will be mentioned along with past Momo/Jiro.

Of course the main pair will be Hisoka/Illumi, but I won't say anything more for now.
So I've had the idea to end Hisoka's story at age 14 and Illumi's story at age 11 and combined their stories into one in a direct sequel.

Part 5.....is tentatively going to be called Wish Making.
This is a light hearted Romcom most of the time. I will trick you into being a sad a bit only to fix it quickly.
Very fluffy. Very nothing hurts here. Some deep moments with huge character development happening, but that's mostly in the back ground.
I don't have a name for it yet, but parts 5 and 6 will be posted at the same time as much as possible.

This is a a heart wrenching dramatic Romance with a good bit of Hurt/Comfort with focus on the Comfort.
Now we get Killua and we are having a heavy on the Comfort Hurt/Comfort fic. Also a good bit of heart wrenching Romance in later chapters.
Note: Parts 5 and 6 will posted at the exact same time. This is indeed about the same romantic relationship. To be perfectly honest this ship is the main reason I wanted to write this series in the first place.
Part 7.....is unnamed at the moment.
This is the action plot I've been building up to with bits of foreshadowing in everything else. You may need information in Part 4 for this for fic, but I might do something to help people out with that.
I'm hoping it will be very satisfying for people to finally get answers and that I'm able to bring a lot of characters together in a grand finale.

Hit 60,000 words on Family Making! It's getting good y'all!
At the gate for my flight home from visiting friends and there's a woman here with a service Shiba Inu. No pics because he has a Do Not Disturb vest and taking pics of strangers is illegal but I need to stress how ON DUTY this animal is. Ears up. Eyes doing Lazer scans of everything. Examining everyone who passes within 10ft like a security guard. Ass planted on her feet. I have never seen a dog with such intense chivalric guardian energy before. He has tiny eyebrows and they are FURROWED with concentration.
Man behind me having unhinged phone conversation. There is an internationally famous dairy in the area I was visiting and he was commissioned by the lady on the other end of the phone to collect specific cheeses from there. The lady is very high strung about the type and condition of the cheese.
The man does not know from cheese. The man "ain't never seen no cheese but orange before" and "I showed ya list to the cheese lady so if it's wrong it's her fault ok?"
I am 80% sure she sent him there for a really specific bleu cheese, 40% sure he does not have the very specific bleu cheese, and 100% sure he's done with her shit.
Our flight is delayed.
He does not have the cheeses in a cooler, just a regular backpack.
I need to emphasize that there is no cooler bag in the backpack. He has Jansport backpack that is jam-packed with cheeses. There is apparently $405 dollars worth of cheeses in that backpack, which I know because he has been trying to get the lady to venmo him the expense, which she has failed to do. It is unclear whether his relation to the lady is romantic, familial or what, but I'm leaning towards "what".
Two more people have joined us. One is a very elegant man with a perfect manicure in a tailored business suit, the other is a neon-haired person of indeterminate gender wearing a fox kirigumi. The Shiba Inu has been staring at the latter for three minutes now.
Cheese man has been demanding payment because apparently he went like six hours out of his way and paid with his own money and between the cheese and price of gas, he is pretty sure he does not have enough money in his account for an Uber home.
The lady is FLABBERGASTED that he is demanding payment at all, as she was under the impression he was doing this for her out of the goodness of his heart.
He's not having it. He's insisting she told him she would pay him back- he would have gotten her maybe one cheese somewhere closer to his business in the area out of love, but he went out of his way because she agreed to pay him costs+ extra to cover it.

Started with paying him back only some of what he was owed, then claiming something she paid for him was of equal value when it was not, then recently telling him his memory is wrong and he said it was a gift or that he'd do it for free.
"Yeah, the specific thing of trying to convince you your memory is unreliable is called gaslighting and it's really fucked up." I say
"yeeeeah. The other stuff I forgave because she's never really had a good job so she can't pay me back all the time but at least she was making an effort y'know? But that was. That was over the line."
"If you haven't already, check on the rest of your family's finances. My brother started trying to gaslight everyone when he started stealing from our parents." Says Pinot Blanc.

No, the problem I have is that some morally impaired people see the cane and think they can get away with stealing my bag or assaulting me because I wouldn't be able to give a description- which is wrong, but rather than deal with that I got Donut, and he helps me by howling at anyone who gets in my personal space and biting anyone who grabs me!"
"Uh." Says Kirigumi. "He's been staring at me do I need to back up or..?"
"Ohdear! No, no- He wasn't looking at you! He loves cheese but he knows he's not supposed to beg so he decided the way to deal with something he wants but can't have is to stare in the other direction."

5. Pinot is now convinced that cheese guy is the smartest and most interesting man in the world.

Donut is called that not because he is the color of a Donut (which he is) but because he likes to sleep curled up in a perfect circle. He has a sister who does the same thing named Bagel.
Lost track of Pinot and Cheeseguy for a bit but when I saw them again at Baggage claim, Cheeseguy was holding both their jackets, and Pinot was on the phone to his hotel about "Well do you have any rooms with TWO beds?". The rest of the call indicated that yes, there were rooms with two beds, but Readers, I Had A Moment.

I can't believe I never made a spoiler section about part nine. It's called Making Kings and will focus on Meruem naturally.
I've moved some things from part 4 to here. I'm going to be shifting the focus of part 4 to be less on the big plot so that's being moved here.
Mara-Sama is our main villain and she creates Meruem.
Mara runs underground hospitals where she gets a hold of heroes dna to attempt to make a child that has something like All for one. She thinks the world needs someone that can take away quirks so the world isn't destroyed one day.
To be honest the logic is solid, but like all villains she's going to do more and more immoral things for her goal and soon having a failsafe just incase something goes wrong is going to become she wants to control all the quirks and decide who is allowed what quirk. She must rule the world to save them from themselves kind of thing.
While Mara's making test tube kids which will be random minor hxh characters at first, she also has a biological child of her own. (The test tube kids are sometimes aged rapidly and sometimes not, but her kid will not be) This child however is a horrific failure and she is disgusted with her daughter and neglects her.
Not that Komugi minds all that much. She's used to be treated like shit, but very much doesn't like that others are being treated like shit.
I'm gonna have a great scene when someone meets her. I don't know who it's gonna be. Hisoka, Illumi, Iida, Iida's kid. Who knows?
Oh also Shinsou has been undercover this whole time in this underground hospital so maybe he will be the one to meet her. I rather like the idea of him and her working together to help the controlled test tub children.
I might even have Eri in here making friends with Komugi. Who knows?
I genuinely wonder if people realize how many projects get abandoned because the readership "wasn't there", when in reality, the readership just stayed silent. It's a big thing in trad pub that book series get discontinued because readers pirate the books or wait until the series is finished to buy a copy, leading the publisher to think that nobody actually wants the book enough to continue the series, but it happens with indie creators too.
I've discontinued a lot of free, online series because it's not worth putting 3-5 hours a week into posting a project for no readers. Sometimes I finish the series for me but just never post it again, other times I don't finish it at all because it feels more worthwhile to put my time into other things. Sometimes I hear from readers who are sad or upset that I didn't finish something they were liking, but the *reason* it never got finished is because I didn't know anyone liked it. If you like something, tell the creator, tell your friends, make some noise about it. If you would be sad if a story never finished, make that interest known because one of my biggest considerations before discontinuing a series is "will people miss this? Will I be letting people down" and 9/10 times, I come to the conclusion of "no, it doesn't even seem like anyone's reading this" only to learn after I've moved on that apparently someone was.
I've said this before in a different way, and this post said it so well. With real examples.
If you like something, tell people.
If you want more content from an artist or author, if you like their stuff, tell them. It will give them creative fuel to keep going. And often it gives them other resources as well.

This is the action plot I've been building up to with bits of foreshadowing in everything else. You may need information in Part 4 for this for fic, but I might do something to help people out with that.
I'm hoping it will be very satisfying for people to finally get answers and that I'm able to bring a lot of characters together in a grand finale.

This has been making the rounds, and it's great, and I wanted to mention a thought I had:
Glaze is not "poisoning the data set." The data set is "art what people post on the internet" and Glaze is part of that, along with animated gifs, patchwork mosaic pictures, badly-photoshopped memes, and so on. Putting a filter on artwork before publishing it is not new - and yet nobody is complaining about "this photo was taken in the daytime but you put a blue filter on it to look like night! How dare!"
Now, if the AI art folks had asked permission to use an archive that sad "Best Fantasy Book Cover Settings," and then the artists started using Glaze, the AI pushers might have a point. What the AI generates based on the pictures won't look like fantasy book cover settings; what they agreed to and what they received were different.
But if they're just scraping deviant and tumblr and individual art sites... the data isn't "poisoned" because it contains data not visible to the human eye. If the artists all start using steganography to put hidden messages in the pictures, like in The Martian... that is not poisoning anyone's data. Not the artist's fault if the data includes parts you didn't notice at first view.
The AI bots were not promised access to artwork that would look similar to the original after the AI bot analyzed it. No data is being poisoned; it's just changed to adapt to a new environment.
CONGRATS AI BOTS! You have spawned your very own Human Consensus Construct that is reacting to changes in the community! The AI bots are being treated like people - like hostile or at least annoying people - and communities are taking the kind of actions they always take against unwanted encroachment.
They make their resources harder to access. In this case, the resources aren't "art" which is sticking around but "pictures that both machines and humans recognize as matching a particular set of keywords."
And no. They weren't promised machine-readable art that could be twisted around into slightly different pics that humans would still recognize.
If anyone says the "data is being poisoned" ask them which data pool they were talking about. Because "art posted on the internet" hasn't gone anywhere. I still see plenty of it.
I started this over a year ago and I've so far written over 100,000 words in this series. This is going to be my finest work and I'm excited it share what I have so far with you!
The series is called If Wishes were Kisses and the first two parts are already on Ao3.
There will be at least 8 planned parts to this series and I will also be making an Extras section to put things like side stories about minor characters and fanart.
So here's the plot.
Because of a wish that Nanika grants serval characters from Hunter X Hunter are being reborn into the world of My Hero Academia with their memories intact.
The characters from HXH come from a timeline that is after cannon when Gon and Killua are around 18. No changes from the anime although as the manga is not finished it may diverge from the manga.
They are reborn into a MHA that had minor changes to cannon in the later seasons. Because of a key event most characters that died in MHA cannon lived however the War arc was much longer and our Class A and B cast fought for nearly two years in a war torn country against villains.
The 'goal' if you will is for everyone from HXH to heal and be happy in a new world. This is much more challenging then it sounds.
I refuse to let the characters be out of character. It is possible for me to fail in this goal for at least some of the characters. It is however going to be a hell of a wild ride in my attempt.
I have further complicated it my making each main character that gets reincarnated have their own story told in a genre especially for them.

At the graduation party of our heroes Mina spikes the punch and Kaminari falls into bed with Hatsume. 9 Months later we get our first official reincarnation Hisoka.
This is a humor focused story about Hisoka gaining a found family while staying in character as a creepy murder clown. So far it as been successful in being both funny, wholesome, and in character. I'm very proud of myself for that.
One of the things this story does really well is introduce you to what the world of MHA is like after the war and shows how the very large cast of characters are living their lives.
The main characters are Hisoka and Kaminari although Bakugou also plays a prominent role. Bakugou/Kirishima is a minor ship in this story as is Deku/Uraraka.
Illumi becomes a main character in this fic after he is born which does take a few in fic years to get to.
This story will conclude when Hisoka is 14 years old and is about to start Highschool. Part two will end at the same time and they will combine into a sequel I will talk about in Part 4.
So far in this story Hisoka is almost 4 years old, we are on chapter 30 at 59,032 words.
I have a spoilers section for each part of my series so that just in case I die or something you will have more information about it.

This story starts with Momo and Shouto fighting a villain who uses his quirk to kill people, but little do they know that under certain circumstances instead of taking a life this quirk can create one.
Shouto has a fairly brief and very non sexual mpreg situation which results in Momo and Shouto being the parents of Illumi. (This will be the only case of Mpreg in the series.)
This is a drama story focused on healing along with the slow burn romance between Momo and Shouto. It begins when Hisoka is nearly 3 years old.
This is very focused on family drama not petty drama. I am taking the Todoroki family drama in one hand and the Zoldyck family drama in the other and clapping my hands together so hard that Momo manifest her own family drama.
This fic gets rather dark at times due to Illumi's mental health. It is important to read the top notes on this fic as I will sometimes add extra warnings about a chapter there.
Shouto/Momo are the main paring however Deku/Uraraka, Bakugou/Kirishima, Ojiro/Toru and Iida/Camie will be mentioned along with past Momo/Jiro.
So far in this story Illumi is 11 months old, we are at 24 chapters and
57,758 words.
This story will be ending when Illumi is 11 years old and the sequel in part 4 will begin right afterwards.
This story is called Family making and it is already up on Ao3.
It is a Drama story and we get our second reincarnation Illumi.

This is going to be a Satire story and I'm hopeful this fic might only be around 30 chapters. Illumi should be around 7 years old when this one starts being posted and I'm working on it now so that hopefully I won't be slowed down too much when the number of stories I'm working on goes up by one.

This is the combination of Hisoka and Illumi's story and will be a Crime/Mystery fic with a good bit of Action/Romance in it as well.
This will also be almost a prequal to Part 7.
Of course the main pair will be Hisoka/Illumi, but I won't say anything more for now.
So I've had the idea to end Hisoka's story at age 14 and Illumi's story at age 11 and combined their stories into one in a direct sequel.

This is a light hearted Romcom most of the time. I will trick you into being a sad a bit only to fix it quickly.
Very fluffy. Very nothing hurts here. Some deep moments with huge character development happening, but that's mostly in the back ground.
I don't have a name for it yet, but parts 5 and 6 will be posted at the same time as much as possible.

This is a a heart wrenching dramatic Romance with a good bit of Hurt/Comfort with focus on the Comfort.
Now we get Killua and we are having a heavy on the Comfort Hurt/Comfort fic. Also a good bit of heart wrenching Romance in later chapters.
Note: Parts 5 and 6 will posted at the exact same time. This is indeed about the same romantic relationship. To be perfectly honest this ship is the main reason I wanted to write this series in the first place.

Maddie: I'm so excited to meet everyone! When you said you were moving to a new Earth, I knew communication through the Ghost Zone was going to be rough, but only being able to connect audio calls once every four months was much harder to endure than I thought it would be.
Jack: Not to mention traveling here. We had to do so many pit stops to fix up the Spectator Speeder and let me tell you, some of those floating rocks were hard to land on. Sometimes makes me wish we had your ghosts powers.
Danny: Yeah....you both went through so much effort. To vist me. In a different dimension.

Damian: I messaged Richard about the plan. He's gathering my siblings' support as we speak. When you arrive after dinner with your family, Father will have no time to deny anything. We shall trap him in social expectations. By the way, you are Timothy's safe queer adult who was there for him in the early years of his self-discovery journey and now he wants to help you.
