I'm just a simple boy obsessed with angst. It's the mood of my life. Fluff is also great too but angst first. I write fanfiction to fill the void. (I have a Wattpad I also post all this on)
The last bell of the day was ringing to dismiss the students and Shinsou made his way to the stairs. Thoughts and memories from the past few weeks looped in his mind. All the dark feelings he'd been fighting were stronger than ever. He had just gotten to the roof. He sat down his things, took off his shoes, and stared down what felt like 100 stories. His stomach twisted as his thoughts pulled him towards the edge. He slipped off his school blazer and let it fall to the ground as his bandaged arms met sunlight for the first time in months. He took a deep breath and moved towards the railing. He'd helped so many of his "freinds" over the past week. With break-ups and breakdowns and even just simple decisions and problems. But it seemed like every time he brought himself up he was shutdown, ignored, or just felt bad about it. He was drowning and knew there was no way to get better despite therapy and despite anyone's best attempts. He was a lost cause. He swung his leg over the rail and stood on the edge of the roof. He was ready for a real solution. The only one left.

I realize I've been inactive as hell and sorry but life's wild and i might try to be active lmao idk.
"Hey dude. What's up?" Kirishima asked as he took a seat next to Kaminari. The blonde hadn't been acting like himself today, which was concerning for his friends. He was sitting alone at a table with his head down being oddly quiet. It was lunch time and Kirishima finally had a chance to ask him about it.
"Nothing..." He responded with a sigh.
"Come on man, what's wrong? You know you can talk to me."
"I just- My heart's hungry." Kaminari sat up to look at the redhead.
"What?" Kirishima might never get used to or understand Kaminari's weird metaphors.
"You know. When your chest gets that sharp, empty ache. It's all so sudden and you don't even remember feeling the need to eat, but now the pain's here and it's big. It just stays and won't go away until you fill it." That was an oddly deep thing to here from the guy who was usually so simple and cheerful. No one expected him to say something like that.
"Oh. Yeah I... I get what you mean."
"Well, my heart is hungry and there's nothing I can do to feed it." He slouched back down looking defeated. Kirishima's heart ached. His friend being so sad made him sad.
"Why is your heart hungry Kami?" The blonde looked up with a deadpan expression before lifting his hands and motioning towards the rest of the room. Kirishima took a moment to really take in his surroundings. Everyone in the cafeteria looked happy and excited. There were boxes of chocolates and stuffed animals everywhere. One girl had a bunch of heart shaped balloons. Some girls were giving guys chocolates and confessing. He could see couples being all lovey dovey. It was Valentine's Day.
"Damn, I forgot!"
"I wish I could. Why do we even have to celebrate this capitalistic bullshit? There doesn't need to be a day where couples rub their love in the faces of everyone else. Let me be forever alone in peace." Kirishima turned his attention back to his upset friend.
"I know it sucks being single on Valentine's..."
"Yeah but you aren't. How did you not even know it was today? I expected you to do something for Bakugou." He wasn't as sassy as he was hurt. The redhead blushed at both his absent mindedness and the mention of his boyfriend. He made a mental note to figure out something to do for the explosive boy before changing the subject.
"I have been single on Valentine's though. And it sucked. But you just seem really down, bro. Is that all?" Kaminari had a perfectly valid reason to feel sad on this day, but Kirishima felt there might be something deeper that was wrong.
"I-" He hesitated and gave the other an unsure glance.
"Come on, you know you can trust me, dude! It's unmanly to judge and I would never tell anyone something you don't want me to!" He gave a bright smile as he put his hand on Kaminari's shoulder.
"Okay... I really- I'm, uh. I love someone, alright?" He looked down at the table.
"Oh. Who is it? Mina? Jirou? Is she in another class?"
Kaminari felt his chest aching even more. "No... But it doesn't even matter. He probably doesn't even like me like that." HE. Kaminari likes guys? Kirishima thought he was straight, but he should've known better than to assume.
"So... you've asked him? Or made some sort of move?"
"NO! I-I would ruin our friendship! He'd be weirded out and avoid me. If I can't date him I at least want to stay friends..."
"Bitch, I'm dating Bakugou. I had those exact same thoughts. But I knew I couldn't live with myself if I didn't do something! Living manly means living with no regrets! You can't let fears like that mess with your head. You're a great guy, and an amazing friend. Anyone would be lucky to date you. If he cuts ties with you over something like this he's a dumbass and doesn't deserve your friendship."
"I'm just a coward... It's hard. I'm sad but don't want to fuck it all up... make things worse."
"Kaminari. Dude. Buddy. Bro. Pal. My man. You should just go for it. You might regret not doing this. Annnd if things do go wrong you can just tell him it was a prank. You're always doing shit like that. It might hurt if he rejects you, but at least you'd be able to move on and have proof. I'll be here to help you too. We can eat ice cream and be sad together or something. But trust me, I'm sure it'll be fine!"
"You know, that's a great idea actually! I should. No regrets." A smile spread across his face. Kirishima's encouraging words really hyped him up. "I'm doing this. Right now." He got up and took something out of his bag before making his way across the cafeteria. Kirishima was both surprised and delighted to see that Kaminari had made his way over to their friend Sero.
"Hey Kami!" He greeted with a smile.
"Hey Sero. Can I... talk to you?"
"Uh yeah, dude. Of course. About what?"
Suddenly the confidence Kirishima's words had given him was gone and his chest felt tight. He knew he had to do this, but didn't know if he could. "Well it's Valentine's Day..." Both boys began to blush.
"Yep... it is." Sero awkwardly scratched the back of his neck confused as to where this was going.
"I'm just going to cut to the chase here." Kaminari held out his hands and looked away blushing. "I really like you and would be honored if you would be my Valentine!"
Both boys became blushing messes. Kaminari was waiting to be rejected while Sero was melting over how cute the blonde is.
"I-I would love to Kami!" He responded as he took the chocolate from the others hand. Shock and relief evident on Kaminari's face as he looked up at his crush.
"Really? That makes me so happy!" The blonde was back to his ecstatic self as he jumped on Sero. This was by no means the first time they hugged, but after confessing, it was different, like a new kind of hug. They both had butterflies in their stomachs.
"I like you too. Like, a lot. This is the best Valentine's Day ever." Sero said as they pulled slightly away. "So... Are we dating now?" Kaminari had his arms around Sero's neck as he stood back to look at him.
"I hope so." Sero laughed and pulled the idiot into a kiss. It wasn't long and there was no tongue. Just a simple peck on the lips. But it turned Kaminari into a flustered mess. From a distance, he looked like he usually does when he overuses his quirk.
Kirishima had watched the encounter and was overjoyed for his friends. Practically fanboying. Maybe they could go on a double date?
100 is a lot unless you write a lot of dialogue. I wonder if just linking fics on my word press would work because god damn this site is making things difficult. It’s like they’re trying to have people not use it.
yeah I noticed this, and I completely hate it lmao because I do write a lot of dialogue and I write small paragraphs for easy readability ): I might have to post everything on AO3 and just link it on here :/
The title apparently counts as one line since it wouldn’t let me go past 99.
Seriously @staff ????
IMPORTANT EDIT
EVERYONE CALM DOWN!!!
I tried this on desktop and did not hit a limit. It looks like a limitation of mobile posts.
I didn’t bother going past 543 because ain’t nobody got time for that, but there is no 100 block limit on desktop. You’re just going to have to post your fics on your computer or through your mobile web browser instead of the app.
Please reblog this version of the post so that people don’t totally freak out
For all his life Bakugou had trouble seeing. His vision was just extremely bad, but no one had noticed. Especially not him. For the longest time he’d gone around squinting at everything without a though. It was natural for him and nothing really seemed wrong. To others he just seemed to be eternally pissed off. He was a pretty temperamental guy, but his resting bitch face paired with a squint only pushed that persona. No one had noticed something was wrong until one day in class.
A R T. I drew this scene. It was too cute not to. (Glasses are difficult to draw ok? Bleh.) Plus if I don’t make art of my fics who will? I also made a version with out the glasses an posted it on my art blog @ignoramoose
For all his life Bakugou had trouble seeing. His vision was just extremely bad, but no one had noticed. Especially not him. For the longest time he'd gone around squinting at everything without a though. It was natural for him and nothing really seemed wrong. To others he just seemed to be eternally pissed off. He was a pretty temperamental guy, but his resting bitch face paired with a squint only pushed that persona. No one had noticed something was wrong until one day in class.
"Bakubro!" Kirishima had called out to the frustrated blonde, "Are you having trouble seeing the board?" Bakugou was leaning over his desk and squinting hard towards the front of the classroom. His seat wasn't too far from the board so Kirishima was rightfully concerned.
"Oh fuck off. I'm fine." Bakugou was trying to copy the notes, but failing and misreading a lot. "What the hell does that even say!? This is just bullshit..." He angrily looked at his notes witch sounded like random word vomit.
Kirishima leaned over and put a hand on his friends shoulder. "Dude do you need to get your eyes checked? That's not what that says at all." Bakugou's frown deepened. He didn't think he needed glasses. Sure he'd never been checked, but he could see fine! Right?
"No! I'm not some blind nerd! Now piss off shitty hair I need to finish this." Kirishima shrugged and sat back as Bakugou went back to his notes. His head was starting to hurt as well as his eyes. After a few minutes he gave a frustrated sigh and looked back at Kirishima. "Ok I can't read that shit."
"So are we going to the eye doctors?"
"Why the hell do you wanna come?" Bakugou got defensive, even though he wants Kirishima to tag along. He's never been to an optometrist and he wasn't scared but having a familiar person around wouldn't be bad.
"Well I want to help you pick out a cool pair of glasses! Something really awesome." The red haired ball of sunshine smiled and looked expectantly at his friend. Awaiting approval.
"Whatever. Just don't embarrass me or some shit. Got it?" Kirishima nodded in response and tried to help Bakugou fix his messy notes.
Later that evening, Bakugou talked to his mom about the issue and she set up an appointment for him.
~~time skip brought to you by sleep deprivation~~
Bakugou, Kirishima, and Bakugou's mom had just arrived at the vision place. The boys wondered off to look at frames while Mitsuki filled out the necessary paperwork. There were so many styles it was a little overwhelming. Kirishima kept trying on the ugliest frames he could find and making goofy faces. Bakugou was pouting and hoping he didn't have to get glasses because he'd feel like a nerd. But eventually he tried on a few pairs and found some he didn't hate. They kept going to the sunglasses and Bakogou wanted some of those instead of normal glasses. He'd look totally badass, even if it was impractical. His mom said no.
Eventually he had to go back to see the doctor. His mom and Kirishima went with him, and he seemed annoyed but was actually pretty grateful. They at him down in an office chair and shoved his face in a weird machine. He had to focus on a green dot as they blew air into his eye. The first time he jumped about ten feet back and Kirishima died laughing. The second time was no different. Next he was in another machine staring at a picture of something tiny. That machine made the picture go in and out of focus but nothing else seemed to happen. After that was the typical eye chart evaluation.
He struggled to read the second and third lines of letters and after that was just a complete mess. Mitsuki leaned over to Kirishima to whisper. "God I never noticed he was this blind. Am I a bad mom?" She joked and he laughed. Bakugou looked at the two distrustfully.
"What the hell are you laughing at Shitty Hair?" At that moment a lady walked in.
"Bakugou, the doctor will see you now. Follow me." With that she turned and they followed.
Bakugou sat in the big chair and waited for the doctor. When she finally arrived she introduced herself before talking to his mom about family history and such. Soon the rolled over on her chair and pulled a big metal thing against his face.
"Alright, what I'm going to do is flip these lens thing back and forth. I'll tell you what numbers they are and you just tell me which one looks clearer. Understand?" He nodded and she began the process. She had a gentle and melodic tone, never skipping a beat. It was back and forth.
"One. Or two?"
"Two."
"Three. Or four."
"Three."
One eye and then the next. It was an oddly soothing exchange. Everything was quiet and serene. The cool metal felt nice and it was not as bad he he though it would be at all. After she was done with that, the doctor then pulled yet another odd thing up to Bakugous face. She swiveled to sit in front of him and looked into his eyes through the microscope like contraption. Then she was finally done. She talked about the results and sent them out.
They went to another person. This guy helped fit the frames and make different measurements and adjustments. After he was done he told them to come back in an hour. The glasses would be done by then.
The three left the place and got some ice cream to pass the time. They went back and Bakugou had a nervous excitement in his stomach. How different would things look? As soon as he slid the glasses on his face he audibly gasped. Everything was so clear. So bright. The world looked high definition and unreal. He took a moment to take everything in before turning to his best friend. He wasn't prepared for what he saw.
"So?" Kirishima asked happily.
He'd never gotten a good look at anyone face due to his awful sight, but the first person he clearly saw amazed him. The wide, excited grin was so visible. The deep, red eyes sparkling into his were gorgeous. The cute little scar above Kirishima's right eye he'd never noticed before added to the adorableness. Bakugou was a blushing mess.
He averted his attention, looking around the room in gay panic. His heart was beating fast. 'God that idiot is so cute!' His mom finally asked how he felt. Hopefully they'd assume that shock was solely the doing of his new ability to see. He looked at her for the first time. 'Damn do you have wrinkles, old hag' He thought to himself, he didn't want to get slapped.
"Wow." Was all he could manage.
They left after Bakugou got his glasses properly fitted. Kirishima was eager to show Bakugou the 'whole new world' now that he could see. His mom dropped them off at a park near their house and told them to be back by dinner. Unknown to Bakugou, Kirishima had plans.
"Dude, the world can be so awesome! We have a lot to do! So much to show!!" Kirishima grabbed Bakugou by the hand and pulled him along. The dumb look on Kirishima's face was too cute for him to resist. First they took a walk through the park and Bakugou got to fully witness nature. Who knew cherry trees could be so aesthetically pleasing? After that they were getting hungry and Kirishima knew the perfect place.
"Where the hell are you taking me?"
"You'll see! It's a surprise." Kirishima flashed a smirk. Bakugou was struggling to compose himself. He had no clue his best friend was so handsome. Bakugou was already in very strong like with Kirishima's personality, just don't tell him that. This on top of that was too much for him.
Bakugou had been so lost in his thoughts he hadn't realised they'd arrived and were actually in the restaurant. "Where are... A cat cafe? What the fuck?"
"If you're as blind as the doctor says then..." He did that adorable thing where he makes a fist and looks like he's holding back tears. Bakugou knew it was annoying, but now its extra annoying. 'Why is he that cute when he's upset? Thats not okay!' "That means you've never really seen a cat before! That's terrible! They're the cutest things."
"Tch. I doubt that." He was already looking at the cutest thing.
They got a table and ordered some food. While they waited Kirishima picked up a small grey tabby cat with big green eyes. "Look at it Bakubro! Isn't she precious?" He held the cat up to his face and she nuzzled him as she purred.
Bakugou felt his heart melt, and his face was next. "Yeah... sure."
"Are you okay? You look flushed. Are you getting sick dude?" Kirishima put one of his hands on Bakugou's forehead. The blonde pulled away quickly and almost fell out of his chair.
"I-I'm fine you idiot!" He got back to his slouched position in the chair. "It's just a little hot in here fuck." After that their food came and they ate mostly in silence. The meows of kittens and murmuring of other patrons created a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Bakugo did have to admit that the cats were super cute.
After their meal they walked down the side walk and Bakugo just took some time to take in the city. It was busy, bright, and all that there was to see got a bit overwhelming. Next thing he knows he's getting pulled into a flower shop. "The hell?"
"Shhh. You have to see this."
"They're just flowers dumbass."
"No, no. They're special though. Just look." Kirishima pulled Bakugou over to a particular table full of plants. There was a particular flower Kirishima took interest in. It was slightly bush like with all of the leaves and stems protruding out the middle of the pot. Each stem had a row full of pink blooms in the shape of hearts dangling down. Each bloom was split at the bottom with a white and purple piston leaking out. They looked like something from a fantasy world.
"These are called bleeding hearts. Pretty badass name, huh? I love these." Bakugou was a little surprised. Kirishima didn't seem like the type to know much about flowers or care about them at all. They seemed too feminine for someone so obsessed with manlyness. But by the look of admiration on the others face it was clear Bakugou was wrong.
"Guess these are pretty cool." He gently touched a bloom and inspected it. He was lost in his own world and didn't notice the blush spreading through his friends cheeks. Kirishima had turned his admiration from the flowers to Bakugou. He looked calm and beautiful surrounded by the flowers. Not to mention how cute those new glasses made him. It was hard not to stare and Kirishima had to force himself to look away before the boy noticed.
Eventually the two left the flower shop. They spent the rest of their afternoon window shopping and talking. Mostly it was Kirishima talking. Dinner time came too soon. They walked back to Bakugou's house together since Kirishima was having supper with them, and possibly staying the night. Bakugou thought about that. He thought about his feelings too. He'd had weird and new feelings for Kirishima for a while now, but he couldn't decipher them until today. As soon as he saw that dopey smile he now loved so much it was clear. He had a crush on his best friend. He also had been tuning out to said best friend.
"Bakugou- dude. Are you even listening?"
"What?" He said bitterly, embarrassed by his lack of focus.
"I was saying that I have one more thing for us to do!"
"But we have to go-"
"Not now! Later! After we eat, silly."
"Don't interrupt me Shitty Hair!!" He lightly smacked Kirishima's shoulder and only got a laugh in response. "But fine whatever..."
The two had just made it to Bakugou's house. They went in and Kirishima offered to help set the table. Bakugou grumbled something about him being a guest and did set the table instead. Bakugou's parents made polite conversation throughout dinner and Bakugou only yelled about three times. After the boys helped clean up. Kirishima looked at the clock and noticed it was almost seven. He wondered off to talk to Bakugou's mom and left a pissed Bakugou to finish putting up the dishes. A few moments later he was done with the dishes and Kirishima came back with a huge folded quilt.
"It's time." Was all the red head said.
"The fuck? Time for what shit head?"
"Just come with me!" Kirishima grabbed Bakugou's hand and pulled him out the back door.
"Why are we out here idiot? The sun's going down!"
"Exactly." He was laying the blanket on the ground as Bakugou looked at him in bitter confusion. He saw the look and explained a little more. "We're out here to see the sunset my dude. And the stars!" Bakugou had to turn away to hide the blush threatening his cheeks. Kirishima's smile made him weak.
The two sat down on the blanket and looked to the sky. The sun was setting and cast a warm light over the two. Both boys were entranced by the golden sky before them. So many colors that were so clear. The yellow faded into an orange that faded into a pink that finally faded to a lovely indigo. Bakugo broke away from one fascination to look at an even greater one. The orange glow of the sun only complemented Kirishima's beauty, and Bakugous heart fluttered.
"Isn't it amazing?" Kirishima had been talking about the sky, but Bakugou wasn't.
"Yeah... It really is."
They sat there and watched the setting sun, occasionally stealing blissful glances at each other. They both laid back under the vast sky and waited as stars slowly appeared. They started pointing out every new star they saw until they lost count and sky was full. It was breathtaking. Bakugou had never been able to see the stars like this. They'd always been distant blurs of light and he could never understand why they were so talked about. He got it now.
"What's wrong?" Kirishima had sat up shivering.
"Man I'm just chilly. It was dumb to wear a tank top out at night." He gave a small laugh and didn't notice Bakugou had sat up. The blonde was already taking off his jacket before Kirishima had noticed.
"Here." Bakugou leaned over to put his jacket on his shivering friends shoulders. Bakugou hadn't realized how close they were until their faces were merely a couple of inches apart. Kirishima's eyes were wide and sparkling with the reflection of all the stars. Both looked taken aback and unsure of what to do next. The moonlight was bright enough to show the blush dusted on Kirishima's cheeks. Bakugou couldn't help himself.
With his hands still on his friends shoulders, he pulled him closer and closed the gap between them with a kiss. It was sweet, simple and short. Their lips gently touched as their hearts nearly burst. Bakugou wasn't thinking straight and he didn't want to. The kiss was a surprise for both of him, but the most surprising thing was that Kirishima seemed to kiss back. After only a few seconds they pulled apart. Both breathless from anxiety and the overwhelming joy of what just happened.
"Ba-Bakugou..." Kirishima could feel joy running through his veins. Bakugou was completely blind to the fact he was radiating happiness and thought he'd messed up bad.
"Fuck! I'm-I'm sorry! I don't know... you're just- I shouldn't have-!" He yelled and cursed himself as he burred his face in his hands. His frustration was concerning. The light and romantic mood was suddenly very heavy and anxious.
"Bakugou." Kirishima said firmly and put a hand on said boy's shoulder. Bakugou tried to push him away while avoiding eye contact, but Kirishima was persistent. "Hey, Bakugou, look at me!"
"Fuck off, I know what you're going to say! I'm disgusting right? You're going to tell me to stay away from you. We're not friends anymore. I'm not a real man! That what I just did was terrible and a mistake. Right!? You aren't into guys and could never like a person like me anyways! RIGHT!? I know!! Don't fucking tell me! Just go already..." Anger and regret were laced with sadness and he was only acting tough to avoid crying. He buried his head back in his hands expecting to be left alone. Kirishima was a little pissed that his friend though he would be lie that, but could understand where this was coming from.
He tried again with a gentler tone. "Bakugou. I would never say anything like that. You should know me better." Bakugou looked up. He felt a little relieved but thought he was still going to be rejected and friend zoned. "You're wrong you know." Kirishima pulled Bakugou into a side hug.
"What?" His voice was low and barely audible.
"You say I could never like someone like you but... I love you Katsuki." Kirishima looked at his shocked red eyes. "I'm not really sure how you feel about this and I don't know how you identify but... I'm gay. Especially for you." Words he thought he would never say. He was vulnerable at this moment. Coming out and confessing to his best friend/crush was wild.
"Shit Kiri... I'm... I'm gay for you too I guess." Kirishima was ecstatic. Bakugou was relieved and overjoyed at what just went down. "So... boyfriends?"
"Boyfriends!" The red head responded confidently.
They were both content as they layed back and looked at the starry night sky. They cuddled and eventually dozed off under the stars.
“Uh, hell yeah! I’m hoping to be next.” The tired teen said winking to his friend. He ran towards the villain, unarmed.
“Jax you can’t do that! You might literally die!!” The exasperated friend followed. “I know you make jokes, but this is serious man!”
“Do you know how powerful my quirk can be?” The villain was still occupied by the bodies burning around him. He looked satisfied, but distracted. This guy was tall and had crazy black hair accompanied by weird burns and body modifications. He looked the part. He had some sort of fire quirk. The guy was almost as hot as his blue flames. “I’m gonna mind fuck him so hard.”
Both boys stopped before they were noticed. Suddenly the criminal was in a ferocious state of panic. Jackson was using his quirk to create such an intense illusion the man was immobilized. It wasn’t long before police had showed up. Jackson held the hallucinations long enough for the guy to be restrained and sedated. Both teens had to give statements along with any other surviving witness.
It was obvious that that powerful criminal was severely messed up, so what possibly could have put him into that much panic? What had Jax managed to imagine on the spot that was so terrifying? His friend couldn’t help but respect and fear this powerful young hero.
Ever since a couple of weeks ago, things have been weird. I fucking hate it. Kirishima is apparently gay!? He came out and things just feel different dammit! This sucks ass! I have all these shitty emotions I can't understand! Fuck them! I want things to be normal god dammit! I'd never say it to Shitty Hair's face, but he's my best friend. I mean, I can tolerate him more than any of these other shit heads. Ever since I found out he likes dudes it's just... I DON'T FUCKING KNOW! I don't really have good feelings over this! Am I being homophobic?? What the hell? I DON'T MEAN TO BE!! I'm not THAT big of an asshole. I just can't explain these damned feelings! He's my friend and I don't wanna be a dick! Though he'd probably like that. UGH! I'M SO DAMN MAD!! AT HIM! AT ME! AT YOU! FUCK EVERYONE! FUCK EVERYTHING!!
-God damn Bakugo
The frustrated blonde closed the book and shoved it under his bed. He got up and paced around his room, thinking. Usually venting in his diary helped calm him a bit, but this time he was only angrier. He was asking himself why that red haired idiot had him so worked up when there was a knock at his door.
"The hell do you want!?"
"Um, Bakubro it's me!" Kirishima tried to force joy into his voice. "I wanted to talk to you." He'd felt the shift in their relationship too. Bakugo moved to the door, opening it to find a tired Kirishima. Both were stressed out about this and having trouble sleeping. "Can I come in..?"
"Whatever." Bakugo moved and closed the door after Kirishima walked in. "What the hell are you here for?"
"I'm just gonna be blunt... Do you have a problem with me liking dudes?" There was worry evident on his face. Bakugo panicked internally, trying to figure out what to say. This was what he was trying to figure out for himself.
"WHAT THE HELL, YOU IDIOT! WHAT ARE YOU ACCUSING ME OF!?" Relief washed over Kirishima, though Bakugo, didn't know if what he said was true. "I COULDN'T CARE LESS, YOU FUCKING DUMBASS! YOU'RE STILL YOU, MY B-" He stopped himself, not wanting to show too much emotion, not wanting Kirishima to know he thinks of him as his best friend.
"Heh, sorry man! I thought you'd been avoiding me or something lately? Guess I'm just paranoid." He scratched the back of his head and gave a subtle grin. Bakugo got a weird feeling in his chest and all his whirling emotions were hitting him all at once. "Hey, wait, what were you going to say?" Those big red eyes staring into his only made his conflicting feelings stronger.
Bakugo tensed up in hesitation, looking off into another corner of the room, scratching the back of his head nervously. "I- uh..." He looked back towards Kirishima with a straight, angry looking face. "It was nothing, Shitty Hair! Now get out of my damn room! You're getting on my nerves!"
Kirishima gave a lighthearted laugh and moved towards the door. "See ya at dinner, Bakubro!" He walked out the door happily and closed the door.
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" He called out uselessly. Bakugo plopped down in his bed and stared angrily at the ceiling. "What the hell's wrong with me?" He groaned to himself. He kept thinking of the red head and tried to decipher his feelings.
What was it about Kirishima? He started talking to himself out loud. "He's really nice and it gets on my fucking nerves. He's way too fucking sweet. It's gross. But... I don't mind it. He's got shitty hair and weird ass pointy teeth. But he does have a cute smile. WHAT!? NO! I DIDN'T- BUT- IT'S TRUE! His smile is nice. And I love the way he worries about me. He cares. HOLD UP! I DIDN'T MEAN LOVE!!! I DON'T-" He was silent as he sat up and ran a hand through his hair. "This dumbass has me mumbling like fucking Deku." Bakugo had only proceeded in making himself more frustrated.
He sighed and grabbed his phone. "I'm not... I'm not gay am I?" He furrowed his brows as he went to Google. Google would know, right? He typed the question and hesitated before hitting search. He spent a while browsing articles that didn't help. He wanted answers and now.
"A quiz? Hmm. Might as fucking well." He clicked the link and felt anxious. This test might not be completely accurate but it could reveal something. He tried answering with his honest truth, thinking about each answer thoroughly.
'Question one: You spot a cute, same-gender person in your class. They look at you. What do you do?' At the mention of cute he thought of Kirishima. He looked over the answers and none really fit him. "I wouldn't fucking smile but... 'warm and fuzzy' kinda describes this."
'Question two: Your friends invite you to attend a pride festival. What do you say?' "What the hell? I-I don't know! Come as an ally? For Kirishima I would, but he can't know that!"
'Question three: A cute, same-gender person comes out to you as gay or bisexual. They have a crush on you. What do you do?' A blush began rising to his cheeks. "Kiri had come out, but it's not like he would have a crush on me! ... WOulD hE?" He panicked. "NONE OF THESE FIT!!" He hit a random answer not knowing what to pick.
'Question four: You're in a gym class getting changed. You notice a cute, same-gender person getting changed. They have smooth, toned muscles and look perfect. What do you do?' That perfectly described Kirishima. He was embarrassed by his answer but admitted to blushing because of the other guy.
'Question five: You're sitting on a sofa watching a movie with a cute, same-gender person. They fall asleep with their head on your lap/legs. What do you do?' This had happened plenty of times. So this answer was easy. "What kind of monster would push him away? I'm an asshole but I can cover him up at least!"
'Question six: You're locked in a room with a cute same-gender person and a cute opposite-gender person. Who do you pick?' "What the hell does this mean!? I couldn't stand being stuck in a room with anyone! I'd just blow the door down what the fuck? But I could probably tolerate Kirishima..."
'Question seven: What do you think your sexuality is?' "YOU FUCKING TELL ME!" He'd never really thought about sexuality or other people. Bakugo was never really into girls, but most guys he knew were just idiotic extras he wanted to be better than. He reluctantly hit gay.
'Question eight: If an cute opposite-gender person asked you out, what would you do?' He thought for a moment. He wouldn't be into any of the girls in his class. They're annoying. He's never really had interest in girls or romance at all. Uraraka is cute in a general sense. He can admit that. But it's not like he'd ever want to date her. "Reject them it is..."
'Question nine: Pick the gender your biggest crushes were. If you've never had a crush, guess who you think your biggest ones will be.' "OH FUCK OFF! THIS ISN'T HELPFUL!!" He sighed as his frustration grew. Only one more question after this. Might as well finish. Be angrily tapped 'Same-Gendered' and moved on.
'Question ten: Finally, do you like any LGBTQ+ singers?' He doesn't really listen to music much and certainly doesn't know the singers sexuality. Also, why this would matter is beyond him. He hit the 'Get Results' button and held his breath.
'Are you gay? For 80% you are: You're most likely homosexual/homoromantic! This means you only like same-gender people. Enjoy your rainbow life!'
He slumped down on his bed. "That helped fucking NOTHING! Those answers were shit! I don't trust that damn thing! It can die!!" He felt like he might never figure out his feelings. According to this he's gay, and that's not bad, but is he gay for Kirishima?
This quiz made him think about a lot of things he was avoiding or just not even realizing before. Maybe he did have a crush on his friend. A sick feeling settled over him and he still felt confused as hell. An idea popped into his head and he held up his phone. He scrolled through his contacts before he started to type.
B: Hey Deku bitch
D: Uh hi Kacchan? Why are you texting me?
B: I have to ask you something but if you tell anyone I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!
D: Okay! I won't! Geez...
B: I know you and icy hot are dating
B: How'd you know
D: How'd I know what?
B: That you like guys? Or HIM? I don't fucking know
D: Is this about Kirishima?
B: SHUT UP AND DIE YOU NERD!!
B: ... maybe
B: JUST ANSWER MY QUESTION!
D: Alright, alright! I didn't really know at first. I had a lot of confusing feelings and after a while it clicked? I just realized that I did have a crush and quit ignoring my feelings. I mean he's cute and nice and I really like being around him. I want to do romantic things with him too. Like cuddling and dates and kissing and hand holding. I hope that answers your question?
Bakugo sat back, re-reading the text over and over. He had confusing feelings about Kirishima. He knew Kirishima is cute and nice. He knows he loves being around Kirishima. He takes a moment to think about doing romantic things with Kirishima and gets extremely flustered. They already touched often, cuddling or linking arms. That was only because Kirishima gave him no choice. They also hung out a lot, but calling that a date? That made Bakugos heart race. Imagining kissing that idiots soft lips only made him forget to breathe.
He did have a crush on Kirishima. Deep down he could feel it, but now he accepted it.
Bakugo had no clue what to do, so he grabbed his journal and began writing furiously.
Dear fucking journal,
UPDATE! I'm fucking gay. And Kirishima's cute as hell. I won't deny this any longer. But what the shit am I to do? I can't just tell Shitty Hair about this! What if he's not into me!?! I have a crush god dammit, but what do I do? It's nice to have those dumbass emotions sorted but now theres another issue. EMOTIONS CAN DIE FOR ALL I CARE!
He decided to end his frustrated rant there as his phone went off. It was a text from Midoriya. "What he fuck does this nerd want?" He mumbled to himself.
D: Kacchan did that help at all?
B: Fuck off deku its none of your damn buisness
B: But I'm gay
D: Woah that's great! You figured yourself out!!
B: TELL ANYONE AND YOU DIE!!
D: A true raging homosexual.
B: STFU DIE!!!!!! NERD!!!
He tossed his phone onto his bed. Why, of all people, would he tell Midoriya that? He growled at himself and checked the time. He should head down for dinner about now. He went downstairs and almost everyone was already there. During dinner he couldn't help but stare at Kirishima. Kaminari, the resident bisexual, was chatting up a storm with him and Bakugo couldn't help but get pissed with how flirty it was getting. Halfway through dinner he was so angry he broke his chopsticks in half. After that he went to his room saying he wasn't hungry, and he truly wasn't. He was full of jealousy.
There was a knock at his door. He answered it to find a concerned Kirishima. "Bakugo you left before you finished eating. You alright? You're not getting sick or anything are you?" He pushed past Bakugo and into the room.
"I'm fine hair for brains. Just got full." He gave an angry pout and shut the door as Kirishima sat down on his bed. "I'll be right back I gotta piss." Bakugo said before turning and going to the bathroom. He really just needed to calm down for a moment. Unknowingly he had left his journal sitting right on his bed where a certain someone could easily find it.
Kirishima went to lean back but found his hand on a book of sorts. "Hmm. What is this?" He picked it up and flipped through a few pages. "A diary!" He whisper yelled to himself. He flipped to a newer entry and began to read. He knew he shouldn't, but it was too tempting. Bakugo came out right when he was finishing today's last entry.
"Kirish- WHER THE HELL DID YOU FIND THAT!?" Bakugo thought he was going to have a heart attack. He wrote his feelings in there. HIS FEELINGS.
Kirishima looked dazzed and was blushing madly. "You... you left it on your bed." He gave a shy smile.
"YEAH BUT WHO THE FUCK SAID YOU COULD READ IT!? WHAT DO YOU KNOW!?!" Blood was rushing in his ears and his heart was pounding so hard it hurt.
"I-I'm sorry Bakugo!" He snapped back to reality, realizing his mistake. "I-um... Is it... Is it true?"
"Wh-WHAT?" He started getting defensive. He only just realized he's gay, he wasn't ready to get his heart broken this fast. Kirishima stood up and came closer. He gave Bakugo a serious look.
"Did you mean everything you wrote?"
"OF COURSE I DID SHITTY HAI-" He was pulled into a kiss. Taken aback and confused he pulled away. "Wh-what."
"I like you too Bakugo! I... have for a while to be honest. I never thought you would like me back!" And excited grin stretched across Kirishimas face, along with a blush.
"Come here you idiot." Bakugo mumbled before pulling him into a kiss.
