As far as I understood: the group of friends were to graduate, all they had left to do was their thesis, which the professor assigned them a specific subject: rice 🍚☺️❓️🤨👍😁🤔🤡
[comments; no spoiler]
Were they in agronomy degree? No...? Did they mention their degree/major? I don't think so? I don't quite remember 😅 I confess some of the caption's words I read them, but they weren't decoded as a meaning lol
A small part of it is because the translation isn't accurate, like the grammar, I'm not lectured in english grammar, I commit mistakes and don't even know, sometimes I come to read something I wrote a while ago and I'm "wow, this doesn't make sense lol", anyway I also could tell not everything said was translated, so there is a gap between both languages, I believe it's small, I could get the idea, where I dispersed were in the technical parts about rice planting, harvesting and those process (1st episode).
I have a hypothesis (nothing conspiratorial, just a thought lol) that this project tried to bring the cambodian younger generations closer to their country's roots by using what's trending, like they full explained the processes of rice farming lol soil preparation, nutrients influences on the quality, etc. They talked about the value of small farmers to the country, how rice farming is connected to the country grow and how big companies may impact in the economy. For me it's like a propaganda to buy rice from inside, support your local farmers! lol
I liked the idea, I just think that the rice research and the romance were two complete different blocks, it's like there a division in the storyline, it was totally separated, one could exist without the other and be replaced for anything else, I missed a connection. As a display for tourist promotion, I think it was good.
[spoiler]
Speaking about the romance: I wanted to say Sal was so used to have just friendships that he didn't know how to act in a different relationship, that he didn't comprehend that some people might think he was acting lovey-dovey with his friend and that he shouldn't, since it's a friend. Or that he was so used to have his friend around and interact with her solely, that he didn't realize he was neglecting Sam. But no 🙅 no ❌️ no ✋️
He fucking said, he did all of that ON purpose. On purpose! 💀 All my arguments went down
And I hated, okay? Who does that? That's fucking toxic, they're not even close, they feel attracted to each other, but they're still knowing each other and the young man plays with his feelings "to make him act" ? Uh, hello? Sam went to your homestay and you were all sweet a day before?
I could even not waste my time talking about Sam's reaction (lol kidding), but when Sal came back with his friend in the evening, Sam asked why they were late, Sal replied his friend need to go to the hospital (!) and Sam repeats himself questioning why they were late and saying he was worried (almost yelling). Man ✋️he just said they were in the hospital, why were they there? What happened? I wanna know, the girl seems fine, but still. And Sam kept going on with his mild tantrum and I was "man, chill down". I get he was jealous, but that doesn't allows him to act like that. He was being unreasonable. Sal was with his friend!
The only thing I considered bad in Sal's behavior since his friend came was that he was fully ignoring Sam, like a second before they were holding hands and smiling at each other, then his friend came and he left the young man walking 1 kilometer behind them ? Uh, hello? And when Sam said he'd return to the homestay and Sal just turned half his head (! he didn't even look at Sam's face properly!) and said okay, man? Man! My young man! Sam was a guest and you're the host, couldn't you, at least!, walk him to the homestay? Não seria de bom tom? But, it's okay, cause Sal planned to act this way ☺️ he was just pretending to be a jerk
And when Sam said he liked Sal and went there to say that, but he got it all, Sal actually didn't felt anything like that, he said he never felt good with anyone (romantically), but in fact had that all his life and then Sam turned away and left and Sal was just there, frozen, man! I was like:
Move! Just move! Do something! Say something! Make a sound!
I know the moment wasn't the best to talk, they were both (or at least, Sam was) emotionally unstable, it wouldn't get anywhere productive any soon. Well, since Sal was pretending being a jerk, did he pretend to be mad at Sam for throwing a tantrum over him being with his friend all day out? Cause if he was, he could lead the conversation and get Sam to listen to him, it'd take time tho.
Anyway, what a surprise Sam wasn't there anymore in the morning, uh
I'd leave too, eu ein
Then, it plins his head and Sal decides to run after Sam to his family's homestay... 😐 It could have been easier, it could

[comments; spoiler-ish – reveals who's the manager]
[I'm talking more specifically about the last episode]
I confess I had a hard time processing the change of moods lol
I completely understand why Drew felt the way he did, angry, disappointed (with Shawn, but mostly with himself), upset, with his trust broken, mad, confused, devastated, disoriented, lost.
And I was kinda surprised Drew was chosen to be the general manager, I know he's totally capable, but I understand and agree when he said he wouldn't be able to date Shawn if he (Drew) got the position. The man doesn't know how to separate personal matters from work, at least, not when it comes to romantic matters. He was completely ignoring Shawn at work when he'd come to ask or request something about *work*, pretty unprofessional.
And after he broke down in front of Shawn, he returns to the party holding hands with him?
Is it easier for him to accept that the son of the villa owner is the one who wants to date him and the same who was competing for the general manager position than just a rich common man? This way there's no conflict of interests? And like, he's rich! The rich son-of-the-owner type. “Oh, it's not his” (yet!), but he has the conditions to do what he wants, he's co-owner of a coffee shop, why does he want to work in a guesthouse villa? Rich kids who want to prove their parents they're capable open up their own business, not go working in their own parents’ business.
So where’s the so-called time Drew was needing until now? I need this time! kkkk
I felt sudden, sort of rushed, the end of the series.
But all of these do not cancel the fact that I liked the series 💁
Everyone (cast and crew) was great and Mikoy nailed the breaking down scene.
It's a sweet short film about discovering new parts of yourself.
The protagonist is exposed to other possibilities of living in your body, expressing yourself, understanding the infinity of labels to name a human experience.
I find it funny how Sora just said his pronouns were he/him and asked the protagonist's ones and it just fried his brain, like:
Victor smiling happily, confidently, proudly, satisfied is heartwarming 🥰

Old lgbtqiapn+ women, that's all I need to say.
No, but it's wholesome! Really!
[kind of spoiler?]
It's a simple story, with its own depth, the thought process of telling the story and the acting shows how scarring can be the feeling of loneliness, of yearning for a company, for a deeper relation with someone, not just casual talks in sew club.
Also, the fear, excitation and shyness when trying to approach the person you're curious about and want to befriend.
[no spoiler]
These feelings don't change with age, because we don't change who we are because of our age.
Getting older isn't about changing your entire outfit (oh, new person, totally different), but layering new pieces of cloth, sometimes taking some piece off, because you don't like it anymore, but when getting older your mobility gets more impaired, so it's harder to put on new clothes or take any off, but it's not impossible and you can make physiotherapy.

[synopsis]
In the last days of high-school, three misfits editing the graduation video find a classmate's confession saying they were harassed by the school's principal.
[comments]
No matter how stormy is your life, taken by confused emotions, carrying tons on your shoulders, feeling like there's no way out. Little by little, day by day, everything can get back to the right place. The storm will pass someday and yesterday will be yesterday.
The typical coming of age story where the teenager is eager to kiss someone before highschool graduation, if not they will be an eternal loser lol
[comments; spoiler]
The insecurity to act up, to do something you want, but your body reads it as a danger situation and send substances so you won't do it. Freeze or run.
There's fun in the way people tend to deal with separation, they turn their attention into something else, actually that's basically how we deal with everything that hurts us in someway, the fun is that that's not the ideal way, rationally speaking, cause it might worsen the problem, but we need time, so we'll be able to understand our feelings better, to understand someone else better, to communicate better, to not fear doing something that'll help ourselves and might be interpreted as rude, to prioritize ourselves.
All of that, we can learn getting life experiences, it might take one year or ten, some people doesn't allow themselves to deepen into themselves, to see other perspectives, so they might never get mature.
The point is that I read the story as, in time of losing her best friend, Erin turned her attention into Sydni, a new event in her life, unknown, someone that could occupy her mind from the emotions she was feeling nd couldn't get through yet, so the easiest way that came in mind = kiss a girl. And the opportunity just came in town.
It's amazing how so many things could happen in the story.
First Erin's confused feelings could be just for getting more distant from Liz and fearing it'd loosen their friendship.
Liz's mad feelings could be just the confrontation to "the never expected" moment of seeing her best friend wanting to try new things, making friends with other people.
Erin could be really in love with Sydni, not just fascinated with her coolness, not just a crush, where she'd be rejected and suffer deeply or Sydni could've liked her too and they'd date.
Sydni and Erin could date and Erin could understand that those confused feelings then were actually her growing romantic feelings crashing into the "departure".
Ooor they could date happily and mutually and Liz would have to swallow bitterly her newly discovered romantic feelings.
Or they all could just be okay 😂
I just know I loved it, the acting is natural and realistic, the awkwardness, hesitation, stuttering, I don't know their age when they filmed it, but professional anyway 👌
[TW] Trigger warnings of the short film: homophobia; lgbtphobia; bullying
A depiction of a highshool experience.
It's not a happy story, not because of how it ends, but because of the non sensical acts. Teenagers can be so illogical, what makes them think attacking a person that is somehow related to the one they like will do something? It's such a ridiculous "strategy", if the one doesn't like you and even likes someone else, that's it, you can't and might not do anything, it's egoistic, inconsiderate, ill.
Isolating whom doesn't "go with the norm", badmouthing behind someone's back, creating false accusations, committing acts of passional crime.
Teenagers can be excused of those, because they're more easily influenced and didn't learn completely how to control their emotions and how to respond in some situations. What's sad is that adults act like that too...
About the end, it's right, no love is like the other.

Cute achillean short film 💞
It's not just about realizing it, sometimes you're seeing the signs, they're there clear and loud, but your mind doesn't assimilate it? They were uncomfortable by their attitude, but were still stick, it's crazy how it happens, you get kinda blind, you gotta be out of the situation somehow to be able to comprehend what you're feeling, what you're going through, just like what happened to them, they experiencing lovely acts, someone just being a good person, thoughtful and respectful

[synopsis; no spoiler]
It's a silly romantic comedy set in the end of year festivities. The main lead Jenn got dumped by her long term girlfriend, Frankie, for an younger sapphic, making Jenn goes into a 30's crisis lol
[comments; no spoiler]
Seriously, her ex girlfriend is terrible, so obnoxious, okay they broke up, Frankie's dating someone else, but the way she treated Jenn was awful, using her as if Jenn had any obligation and not as friend or girlfriend (ignoring that they were exes), taking her for granted, like why were you dating? Jenn you lived 10 years, almost, in an abusive relationship, girl
For me, there's magic in not knowing what you're going to find while watching something, specially short films, but context below:
We don't get to know much about the place they live, there's not much background, but it's a post-apocalyptic world, Abigail lives with post-traumatic anxiety and Bailey shows up in her life taking her out of her cocoon
