Genuinely asking, how was I littering the tags?
Because itβs not a fic about some character or reader, itβs a complain and you tagged it x reader and it fills up the x reader tag with non fic posts.

βYouβre nothing, but so am I. Weβre just stardust, the fragments of something broken. But together, weβre the makings of a new galaxy. All we need is to ignite. Youβre nobody. I saw that you mentioned you were writing again for Appointment in Samarra! Iβm so happy to hear that, Iβve been keeping up with it since about 2022! I also saw that you mentioned you had written enough for a few small chapters but you wanted to piece that together for 3 chapters left. I hope Iβm remembering that right!
I know as an author you have your own outline and process of what you want to present as your writing and what you perceive as a complete chapter, and I completely understand that! I wrote a tiny bit when I was younger and I felt the same way, like each chapter had to reach the point I anticipated it to or else it did not seem as though I had done enough or accomplished what I planned to in my mind. That being said, if that isnβt how you feel, would you consider releasing a few extra shorter chapters than anticipated rather than 3 huge chapters to wrap up the story?
Maybe itβs my reluctance to see it end, but I simultaneously need more as soon as you are willing to bless us readers with your work AND also wonder how you can wrap up all that I can guess is the ending in only 3 chapters!!
Either way, we love you and your writing! Glad to hear you are doing well and have less to worry about on your plate! That is a blessing in itself! I hope you know no matter how long it takes for you to finish the unfinished works on your ao3, you have many many people who will be thrilled to see that new chapter notification pop up! :)
Awwww anon, I really really appreciate this message β€οΈ it really does make me look forward to completing Samarra! Thanks for holding down the fort for 3 whole years!
Yes that's correct, I've written about enough for a few chapters, although honestly posting, them separately wouldn't make much sense. You put it perfectly in how it feels βincompleteβ in your mind, although it may not feel so to a reader. The second to last chapter quickly flashes through scenes a lot and I am really sorry, but I just really want to wait and just finish the whole chapter before I upload anything π’ you do hit the hammer on the nail as to how it feels.
I'd be glad to upload an excerpt however (mostly smut unfortunately, but that's the only part that doesn't have spoilers).
I really really can't thank you enough for sending this β‘ you are so understanding! What did I do to have so many sweet and caring readers. I do feel embarrassed about taking a year (or is it more?!) long hiatus at the very cliffhanger ending and I am so deeply grateful you're still here and eager to read the next chapter β‘β‘β‘ I've been working on it here and there but I really just need a week alone with an unending supply of alcohol to get it done. God damn toronto and its booze tax!
Kay's abortion is what cemented her as a great character because even though maybe there was no intention behind it and the overwhelming male response to that scene is anger, it gives a female character agency for the first time in those movies and it's a great commentary on what it meant to be a woman in that context and time.
Everything leading up to that scene: Kay being frustrated with Michael not keeping up the promise of legitimizing the business, the shooting that put her and her kids in danger, (deleted scenes of Anthony trying to get close to mobsters his father received at home and Kay being distressed and taking him away), Michael concerned about the gender of a fetus when hearing his wife had a miscarriage because what is a baby girl worth in this world?, not talking to his wife when arriving home, taking her to court with him expecting her to be dumb or submissive enough to not care about how things went and what happened behind the scenes.
Then, the abortion scene when she tells him she got a SON killed because she would not put more children into the world to be turned into monsters. "Look what happened to our son" because that's what is meant to happen to boys in that world. Girls are expandable and boys are conditioned.
Kay was right. Kay got herself out and gave her children a real childhood, real chances to be something they wanted, away from the horrors of the life their father lived in. Kay saved herself and her children, but Michael pulls them back into danger anyway because that's the life.
He says he was a lot like Anthony, because once he wanted nothing to do with the family business. In a way, Mary was a lot like her mother too, because she remains close to that world out of love. But Michael never gets away like Tony did, Mary never leaves like Kay.
Mary takes a bullet meant for her father. She pays for her father's sins. What is a baby girl worth in this world?

Wdym you want censorship for a literal ARCHIVE are you fucking stupid
Ao3 was literally founded to preserve works that were largely getting taken down due to censorship
Censorship is the opposite of what Archive of Our Own stands for
The TAGS and WARNINGS are there for a REASON. Use them and stop complaining

If you are in any online spaces that discuss the morality of fiction or its censorship, please keep the following in mind:
CSAM refers to Child Sexual Abuse Material. This is a term that was created for use by US federal law enforcement. As such, it is important to remember that this is a term used specifically to describe illegal sexual content that is produced involving real children. the term CSAM was specifically constructed to highlight the trauma these victims experience because of this abuse, and therefore their humanity.
if you come across CSAM online, you should immediately report it to a tip line. Some websites that host their servers in the US are subject to US federal law even if the person who posted it does not currently reside in the US, so keep that in mind when reporting. again, this is involving CSAM - it is illegal sexual content involving real children.
CSEM refers to Child Sexual Exploitation Material. This is material that involves a real child in a sexualized situation, but either 1- the material itself is not illegal to possess, or 2- the material is not sexualized, but is included in a series or other content that does contain CSAM. Think along the lines or a parent with a few too many photos of their child in the bath. These images are not explicitly sexual, and are not illegal in and of themselves, but they can be used exploitatively.
If you come across CSEM online, it's still a good idea to send in a tip as well as alerting the website it was posted on. Even if the content itself isn't technically illegal, some websites do have strict rules regarding nudity and the sexualization of minors, which can help stop the spread of such materials and reduce the impact on the affected child.
CSAM and CSEM are words used to describe the assault, abuse, sexualization, and exploitation of real children. CSAM, specifically, is used as a way to identify and remove these materials.
CSAM and CSEM do not apply to fiction. They don't apply to any fictionalized or simulated child abuse or sexualized children. They only refer to real children.
Do not send in tips about fictionalized child abuse or sexualized children to tip lines meant to be used for CSAM.
Do not use the words CSAM and CSEM when discussing fictionalized child abuse or sexualized children. In a worst case scenario, it leads to people misusing tip lines due to a conflation of CSAM with fictionalized depictions.
In a more likely scenario, using CSAM to refer to fiction minimizes what CSAM was created to do - which was highlight the trauma experienced by survivors, and therefore draw attention to their humanity. By continuing to use these terms in situations that do not involve real people, it reduces that impact.
