Hi! My name is Casper (or Leaf) and welcome to my page. I'm a trans artist getting ready for my final year of college. I'm studying Theatre and Art. I have so many different interests and you'll see them scattered in my posts and reblogs. I'd really like to be more active on this account so hopefully I'll have more up soon.
I take commissions as well as sell prints of my art. I'll draw for any fandom though I typically prefer to stick to media I'm familiar with. The main exception here is I love drawing people's DnD characters so please hit me up!
[Note, due to technical issues my commissions are currently closed 😔]

Compiled some basic information I know about drawing fat characters for beginners since I've been seeing more talk about absence of really basic traits in a lot of art lately.

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
This got more traction than I imagined and has motivated me to make a more thorough survey where I can actually parse the data.
No email is necessary to input to complete the survey. Please also consider sharing this off tumblr with people in your life to get a broader sample, especially people who love history and love museums!
Please give your thoughts on Generative AI (such as Sora, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) usage in museums, archives, and other cultural heritage sit
I wanted to share some more of these, specifically trans women of color. The images I'm posting are from a project called To Survive On This Shore and it's an interview project. I am only posting a handful so it's so worth checking out!
This is Linda, 60
Alexis, 64
Helena, 63
Kendrah, 72 (!!)
Tasha, 65
It was deeply healing to me to discover this project. The site has selected photos and attached interviews and it's definitely worth your time. I didn't include any because the focus of this post imo is transfems but there are a lot of beautiful interviews with transmasc people too if you're interested! But that'll have to be another post 💖
[looking at people younger than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at people older than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at myself] its over
"I asked chatgpt" okay well I asked Tumblr and- wait, one second- there's some new yaoi lore in the space fandom or something- oh my god is that Markiplier?
"I asked chatgpt" yeah well I asked ryland grace. And he's. Actually kinda busy rn- I think he's making out with Markiplier.... But then I asked Rocky and he thinks you're lame as hell for not using your own noggin!
What I expected from the mando movie: no mention of Kallus or kalluzeb
What I thought was reasonable to hope for: a throwaway line that mentions Zeb's "roommate" on Lira San
What I thought was unreasonable to hope for: Zeb gets a comm link from Kallus and they have a domestic spat in the middle of an action scene
What I knew was unreasonable to hope for: Mando begins to doubt his parenting skills and Zeb gives him a pep talk. He tells Mando that being a parent is hard and Zeb's really grateful his husband is there to help him, so since Mando'a a single parent, he's doing a great job and Grogu appreciates him.
What I wanted: 2 hours of Kallus and Zeb making out sloppy style
I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by the Mandalorian and Grogu movie, I was worried that- like so many big blockbuster movies these days- it'd be disjointed and hard to follow, but it wasn't!
There was a singular plotline we followed and it was easy to keep track of everything. There weren't too many characters and you didn't really need to know anything about the ones from the animated shows that they put in, but knowing stuff about them enhanced the story. It was well put together and had a satisfying ending and didn't feel dragged out or oddly paced or anything. It was... a refreshing change of pace, honestly. (dang, two good movies in a row, nature is healing)
Okay, now on to spoilers!
I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS MOVIE GOT ME TO LIKE ONE OF THE HUTTS. WHAT IS IT ABOUT MANDALORIAN SHOWS THAT MAKE ME LIKE INCREDIBLY UNLIKABLE RACES IN STAR WARS QUESTION?!
(also not me knowing who Rotta was without even having seen the episodes of the Clone Wars he features in, thanks tumblr xD)
I loooooooved getting to see Zeb beat people up with Din, 10/10 peak fight scene. Also "Zeb we got a runner" and Zeb just CUTS ROTTA OFF WITH THE WHOLE RAZORCREST pfffffffft Zeb I love you dude, happy to see you again
also, "you're gonna need a lot of backup to get in there" *cuts to Din and Zeb single-handedly taking out an entire garrison of stormtroopers* LOVED THAT
I love that apparently what Grogu has picked up from his dad is less "be incredibly cool and violent" and more "make friends with every possible being you meet in your adventures". Lil dude out here befriending a Hutt, a random gator man in a swamp, the wolfbat that's been trying to eat him, I love that.
THE LIL SHIP REPAIR GUYS TAKING GROGU TO RESCUE HIS DAD IN THEIR TINY SHIP OH MY WORD
"Grogu heel!" DIN THAT'S NOT HOW YOU TALK TO A FREAKING CHILD
Seriously tho why did this movie have me rooting for Rotta like immediately, he was just like. a nice guy what the heck. HE WAS FREAKING PLAYING ON THE BEACH WITH GROGU I'M DEAD (but also Din stop putting people you've known for 2 seconds on babysitting duty it's GONNA backfire at some point)
me when the swamp people start attacking Din in the Hutt palace: THEY HAVE SILURIANS?!
DID NOT like the giant snake thing at first but it ate the evil Hutts at the end so that thing definitely made points with me.
I loved the random gator dude who helped Grogu
GROGU BUILDING A YODA HOUSE FOR HIM AND DIN AJHGLAKGAFSJGDSF HIS LITTLE YODA STAFF TOO HELP THAT WAS SO FUNNY
also freaking ROLE REVERSAL when the giant frog ATE HIM wholy crap. bumpy digtoad strikes again. thank you for the rescue, gator man
*asking the four year old* "Can you fly?" *four year old shakes head no* "Neither of us can fly!"
Din: *trying (badly) to explain to his toddler how to fly his ship*
Grogu: *shoots a freaking MISSILE*
Din, when he finally makes it back to the ship: Good job, buddy
this whole scene was so cute and funny oh my word
oh my gosh I almost forgot about the beginning when they're taking out the walkers and the last one is full of BOMBS and Din is trying to shoot down his target and Grogu is just FRANTICALLY tapping on his helmet you can practically hear the "DAD DAD DAD DAD DAD THERE'S BOMBS DAD DAD DAD!"
okay I'm sorry I'm just. I'm still not over Rotta and Grogu, WHY WERE THEY SO FREAKING CUTE AND WHOLESOME
also the way Rotta wakes up after being TORTURED because Grogu was in danger AND THEN GROGU CATCHES HIM AND LEVITATES HIM OUT OF THE SNAKE PIT AHSFLKHAFASDGJSF
like, this isn't even fair. what do you mean the best aliens of the year are a rock spider, a giant slug and a tiny green goblin child
I LOVE that we got to bomb Nal Hutta, IT'S ABOUT DANG TIME. I cheered when they blew the Hutt palace.
anyway, all in all this was a surprisingly wholesome, fun, and well put together movie! I really enjoyed it and would definitely watch it again :D
