Hello! I need some help with something.

I am writing a novel and I'd need some advice on certain things. Mostly of the historical accuracy ad to keep things respectful.

The protagonist is an Indian woman who lives in victorian era England (1892, specifically). She ends up taking notes of the detectives searching for the culprit of a murder and basically helps solving the case.

There's an elderly man (the superintendent) who doesn't like her in the beginning but that would change by the end of the story.

I did research, but there are some really specific things I need and I can't find.

So I'd need advice on how I could tackle the subject of racism respectfully, and just about anything about Victorian era England, the politics, the system, the position of Indians. I'd be happy if anybody could give advice or information about anything. It doesn't necessarily have to be on these subjects, it could be about writing novels, mystery novels, etc.

I'd like to kindly ask everyone not to give false information just for the sake of misleading me.
