checked ao3 the other day and. idk folks something about libber’s tag being “jay walker’s biological mother” gets to me. not just because we still don’t actually know her canon name, but because it mirrors the show in the way that all we really know of her is her relationship to jay. her experiences, her friendships, her battles - they’re just as absent as she is. slipped between the cracks. we don’t know her fate and neither do her friends. she’s a footnote in a long line of elemental masters whose achievements will always outshine hers. lightning is bright but brief. its shape is forgotten the moment it disappears.

the only trace of her is the son left behind.

I think a lot of writers might benefit from giving themselves permission to get weird with format.

Use second person, drop classic rising action and climax format, write backwards, just sit in a moment, tell all you want and refuse to show, make an entire book that’s just one run on sentence, reject tropes, use all tropes, cliche yourself to death, produce something that’s completely gibberish. Break all the rules of marketability. Become ungovernable.

The reason why I like this ship over many Lloyd ones, and why I try to convince others on it, is that it touches on Lloyd's... human side. It gives him a character beyond the legendary green ninja he portrays himself as and it further encompasses elements of his character that the show could've touched more on (re: his past in Darkley's School for Bad Boys, for example!). Along with that, you get Brad, who has a little bit of a snarky silly personality shown through his brief screentime that I've found you can do a LOT with (with one's own additions), even independent from Lloyd, and with both of them fleshed out, you get the most amazing rarepair soup you'll encounter around these parts!

currently digging my teeth into lilly pov! i’m hoping to share that fic within the next month as i don’t think the bars of my enclosure are going to hold for much longer. the Thoughts are at risk of breaching containment

hmm okay at first i was a huge calibri user

then i tended towards aptos

aaaand now that i’ve moved to ellipsus i use the default font on there (although i will admit i’m not the biggest fan of the italicised font)

25. besides writing, what are your other hobbies?

right now, i have a couple of video games i've been playing on rotation (shoutout to slay the princess i love slay the princess <3). i picked up crochet a couple of months ago and have made some cool stuff with that (tumblr user wyrmswears can attest), and although I haven't had as much time for the piano lately i still consider it a hobby of mine. sports-wise i've been doing kickboxing for the last 7-ish years, plus kung fu for the last two! which comes in handy for writing fighting/training scenes
